I've had this refrigerator for about a month. It's a definite eye catcher. I like the fact when you open or close the doors - there is no effort to do so and has a good seal each time. I especially like the door in the door. Great for your more commonly used items. Such as milk, juice, butter, beverages, etc. You can obtain items without having to open the entire refrigerator door, resulting in keeping the refrigerator cooler thus using less electricity. I also love the new design of moving the ice machine and storage bin into the door. This allows for much more space in the freezer. The exterior - in the door - water / ice dispenser is wonderful. It always produces ice cold water and perfect ice cubes. Also includes a back lit LED display panel for temperatures, child lock and more. To be fair, there is only 1 "con" I have discovered. The ice bin is a bit smaller than the traditional models. The ice / bin is located on the top left corner of those freezers. Taking up half the top shelf. I personally prefer to have less ice storage, then to loosing the extra shelf space. You can always plan ahead and fill mutiple gallon ziploc bags of ice. That still uses less space then traditional models. I would HIGHLY recommend this refrigerator to everyone. In addition .... I would HIGHLY recommend Best Buy for all your purchases. The sales people are so knowledgeable, kind and patient.

After one month, everything works perfectly. Filtered water tastes great. Ice maker works perfectly, no muss, no fuss. Unit is quiet. Drawers have quality feel. I'm loving it. But the door-in-door feature takes some getting used to. When you approach the refrigerator, you have to stop and think whether you want to open the main section or the door-in-door section. You cannot easily access the door in door section from the main section. I end up closing the main to open the door or vice versa. So far it's not as useful as I thought it would be. It's designed mostly for containers of small width like cans or bottles of beer. Only one spot is deep and tall enough for a half-gallon container of milk or anything else of that size. I think I'll learn eventually what to keep in the door and instinctively remember whether to open the door or the main unit when I approach. For now, it's still a learning process.

I bought one of these refrigerators for a house we use as a rental and the renters love it. So when our refrigerator in the house we live in needed replacing we went straight for this one. It's large - large enough for my 10 children and us to get by with just one refrigerator. It doesn't have a deli drawer so meats and cheeses are just stuck on a shelf. It does have 2 produce drawers, however. I like that the water dispenser is placed to allow things as large as a spaghetti pot to be filled up. The door in door is neat but the smaller door doesn't close as easily as I would like. It tends to bounce open. Still it works and is a nice refrigerator.

Refrigerator is great! I especially like the door-in-door feature which allows many items to be easily reached without letting out as much of the cold inside. Very spacious and lots of shelves. The filtered water and ice dispenser on the door accommodates larger cups and water bottles but you need to keep the cup there for a second longer after pushing to avoid drips on the floor. Delivery was also great. The only issue was a crack in one of the door bins which Best Buy is replacing. One caveat for buyers is that due to the extra door-in-door feature, the fridge does stick out farther into the kitchen, but that still works for us as we really needed the extra space in the fridge.

I absolutely love this refrigerator!! The only thing I do not like is that the filter makes the water taste like highly purified water and I prefer more of a spring water taste however I have not researched further to see if there are different options on this and the shelves in the refrigerator do not give enough space for a tall tea picture and utilize all the shelving. I just moved one up for very thin flat objects. I love the icemaker in the door, leaves a lot of space for freezer items. And not that it is a huge factor but I love the size and shape of the ice. The exterior door is very handy for frequently used items. Love the color as well. I will only buy black stainless steel from here on out. Highly recommend.

We have had our refrigerator for a few weeks now, and we love it! We bought this to replace our old refrigerator and have not been disappointed. After looking up reviews on various models and looking at the features, I do have to say that the door in door option has been exactly what we hoped it would be. Allowing us to put drinks in the door which can be easily accessed without having to open the fridge. It is larger than our older refrigerator, and we found that to be a big plus for our family. Along with the overall looks, and space, we also like the thru-door ice maker, which allows more room in the freezer, and unlike other reviews where we saw an issue with the ice maker, we have had no issues and utilize the ice maker and water dispenser regularly.

I've had this fridge for a week now and I'm pretty happy with it. Love the front side door as I use it all the time. Makes grabbing drinks and condiments a snap. Ice maker works great and I like that its separate from the water when using. My only small complaints are wish it had a deli drawer, compressor seems to run for a while which makes it kind of noisy ( but it is a fridge so to be expected), and I think the water could taste better but you're hearing from a guy who has only drank bottled water for the last few years so not an apple to apples comparison. The best thing about this fridge though is the side by side design because now I actually have a functional freezer (as opposed to the bottom door style i used to have)!

We bought the black stainless steel and love the color. It does have more room than our previous side by side in the freezer due to the location of the ice maker. One downfall is you are not able to adjust the fridge shelves very much at all to accommodate the height of some items. We have had it now for about a month and so far so good - it still works! Most appliances these days don't last long at all so we've made it a month with no issues.

We actually purchased 2 of these for our family. One for me I’ve owned now for 5 months and we liked it so much my mother bought and has had for 1 month. It is super spacious design. It holds a lot of food in freezer and refrigerator. The only complaint I have is it the shelves are not adjustable for height. Tall items such as large juice and 1 gallon pitchers will not fit on top shelf. It will only for in door compartment which is fine for me. The top shelf will hold gallon milk, carton juices and bottled creamers. It’s wonderfully designed and the ice maker in the door frees up a lot of space also for the freezer section.

I was definitely looking for a fridge with a lot of space and this fridge has yet to let me down. The cabinets at the bottom are a little small but the extra space from the third door is definitely what I wanted. It's a great product for a good price. The only bad thing I have to comment about the fridge is that if you don't stand there to close the third door intentionally yourself it will stay open and the alarm doesn't alert you. I have the tendency to be everywhere when I'm cooking so I'm used to just quickly flinging the door shut but I cannot do that with this one. Still I love the extra space the third door provides so it's worth the few extra seconds to make sure the door shuts.

We've wanted this refrigerator for almost two years and were finally able to buy it. It's everything we've wanted in a fridge and more! The door-in-door option holds a large quantity of beverages. Because the drinks are out of the main area, there is much more room inside for other things. The two drawers at the bottom help keep produce fresh. We wanted a side-by-side option so that we can see exactly what is in the freezer without having to bend over or shuffle food around. Because the ice maker and storage are built into the freezer door, the shelves are freed up to hold more food. The ice container holds ample ice -- in smaller cube than my previous freezer.

The refrigerator is pretty amazing. Love the door in door feature. The only issue we have is that you cannot adjust the shelves to accommodate more large items without giving up storage space on other shelves. Everything else was perfect. I would recommend the product, but be aware that delivery & installation dates and services were the worst i have ever experienced from Best Buy in 20 years. It was the first purchase moving to California.

This refrigerator is great for households with large families as it has a great deal of room and runs great. It is very quiet and I love the door in door feature for the kids! I went with LG as I had a Samsung that was only five years old and stopped working. Samsung refused to help me in any way and it could not be repaired. Needless to say that was the last Samsung appliance I will ever purchase. We are very happy with this refrigerator so far!

    A Beast

We've had this since November and its an awesome fridge. It's a beast. You definitely want to measure because this has the extra fridge on the front even though it isn't excessively wide. There are more configure friendly refrigerators. These shelves are pretty fixed. Each has two possible positions about an inch or two apart. The fridge and the freezer each have two drawers. The shelves easily accommodate tall items. The small fridge is an amazing convenience for those quick breakfast items that you want easily accessed and the bucket shelves are generously sized. The small bucket shelves on the door are big enough to store skinny bottles. We store yogurt and smaller jars on those. Our orange juice, milk, apple juice, cream and cheeses are all stored in the larger part of the little fridge and there's room to spare. The crushed ice packs easily because it isn't crushed into puffy balls, its crushed into small shards but it's fine. The ice does tend to spray so you have to get your glass right up on the nozzle but there is a short neck on the dispenser that gives you directional spray for the bulk of it. You can open the compartment for the small fridge from the inside but it only allows you to access the lower shelves. The only thing I really don't like is that, in order to remove the small fridge shelves for cleaning, you have to take the whole unit off. That lets you clean the whole enclosure but its annoying when you just want to clean up a small spill before it dries on the shelf. We have very treated water. I can drink well water but I can't even tolerated the smell of the treated water. But I actually enjoy the water that comes out of this filter. We got this in November and haven't had to change the filter yet but it looks relatively easy. We'll be coming up on that soon, so that's both an upside and downside. You have to keep a filter in stock so you aren't drinking from a dirty filter. I was very worried about the high gloss exterior. It looks like the kind of thing that is going to scratch up pretty fast but its surprisingly resilient. The outside is super easy to clean and maintain. Overall, its the best fridge I've ever had as far as convenience and roomy design. I love it.

I have had this refrigerator for over a month now, and so far I love it. It has more space then my previous refrigerator even though it is .6cf smaller. The only feature that is missing is the alarm on the small pass through door. We find that you really need to push to make sure it clicks closed. Otherwise it will remain open and there is no alarm to alert you. One other issue we had is that the power cord is run through the top of the refrigerator. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but we measured the space correctly and when it came it wouldn't fit because the power cord was another 1/4" on top. I needed to cut a channel in the underside of the cabinet to make it fit. Just be sure to give yourself additional space when measuring the height. Other than that, great ice maker, great storage and a great overall product.

Love how it looks and the door within a door feature works really well. The ice maker works well, and the water dispenser is designed for tall water bottles which means water comes out higher than expected. All features are excellent and well designed. The freezer side is wide enough to store a horizontal frozen pizza in a box. My kitchen has an island in front of the refrigerator and the side by side freezer/refrigerator design is easier to use than the French door with a freezer drawer design.

The way LG designed this refrigerator is impressive, making fantastic use of space. It isn't significantly larger than my last refrigerator, but because of the design I can fit a lot more into it. The door-in-door is a nifty feature, making for quick access to frequently used items without letting out all of the cool air. It's also super-quiet, you won't even be able to tell that it's on.

We love this fridge. It has a good amount of space and some of the shelves are adjustable. The easy access door is great, but ours doesn't always shut completely, so we have to check it to make sure. There is an alert if you leave the normal door open, which is nice, but no alert for the easy access door and that's the one we have trouble with. But overall, this is a great fridge!

There is a ton of space in this fridge! The only small issue I have is that there aren't a lot of options for where the various trays lay (in terms of how spaced out they are vertically). The outer door is perfect for grabbing drinks and condiments. A ton of people on here complain that the outer door is hard to shut, but it's not. All you have to do is GENTLY push the outer door shut until you feel/hear it click into the main door.

After a few weeks, we are very satisfied with this model. We can grab our most often used items easily through the door-in-door. Practical feature, not just a gimmick. The compact ice maker in the door frees up much needed space and still keeps up with our ice needs. The LG ice maker and compressor are both quieter than the 10 year old Frigidaire that it replaced. Attention is required in closing the door-in-door. It is not heavy, so just a push may not latch it closed like a big door. Following the door closure with your hand on the handle works every time. Not a big deal at all.
