    Best Fridge Ever!

    I'm 54 years old. I've been through my fair share of refrigerators. I don't know what we've been thinking of in the past, why we had put the freezer on top or on the side is beyond me. French Door design is the way a refrigerator should have been made in the first place. Groceries come and groceries go. Now I can open up both doors and see what I've got to toss and where there's room to put new groceries. And finding room for new groceries in this refrigerator is a breeze. We've had this refrigerator now for 4 months and I must say it is a joy opening the doors and seeing what there is to eat. Everything is right there in front of you and you don't even have to look very hard to find what you want. The refrigerator itself is very quiet. I very rarely hear it. Every now and then I hear a little tray of ice drop. Even with the smaller bucket we have never run out of ice. My wife and I both love this refrigerator! It is the best refrigerator we've ever bought. And it was worth every penny. We bought the 28-foot black stainless which matches well with our black appliances. It also doesn't show hand prints or streaks. Wipe it down every now and then and it looks like new. If I had it all to do over again I wouldn't hesitate to buy this particular refrigerator. I've always liked LG brands and this lives up to the brand name. I highly recommend this refrigerator to anyone who's looking for a new one. You will not be disappointed. The freezer is where it belongs at the bottom. How often do you really open the freezer? Two doors at the bottom for the freezers, party foods on top, frozen beef, pork, chicken, fish etc., at the bottom. Even if it's packed there's still room for your freezables. It's very easy to keep it all organized. So far no freezer burn. You can customize the temperature for both the freezer and refrigerator. The ice and water dispenser is very easy to use. The ice and water all tastes terrific even with the hard water we have in San Antonio Texas. The only problem I had with the ice and water is when my wife filled up a large cup of ice to brew a K-Cup of iced tea. She left it on ice and then I went to get a bottle refilled of water and I got ice. It was a minor issue, a little retraining to double check the setting before dispensing was all it took. Supposedly this refrigerator has Wi-Fi smart fridge capabilities I'm not sure what they do yet as I don't play with my computer as much anymore, but at one point I will explore it and I will update this post. Get this refrigerator you will be happy beyond belief! Especially when you open the double doors to grab a quick midnight snack!

    Not Perfect but Very Nice Fridge!

    I wanted a bigger fridge than the counter-depth one we were replacing. This is a very good-looking fridge. I like that the water/ice dispenser can accommodate large cups/glasses, I I like the smaller block-like ice cube that go easily into our Hydro Flasks & Contigos. The ice & water taste good too. The fridge holds a lot of items beautifully, making better use of space than my old fridge. The double freezers are nice, but I seem to have lost some freezer space. Luckily I do have another freezer I can use. I keep frequently used things in the top freezer, things I want to use in the next month or so in the bottom freezer, & things for more long-term storage in our alternate freezer. I do not like the sliding refrigerator shelf. I adjusted my top shelf to accommodate taller containers so I don't need it. This sliding shelf, if slid inward to accommodate taller items, would block the items on the shelf behind the tall items. I prefer to keep it pulled out, but it keeps sliding in at the lightest touch, knocking off the things on the shelf. To prevent this, I had to jerry-rig the shelf & it doesn't look too pretty, but until I find another solution this will have to do. I wish I could just get another shelf without this feature! Also, the doors won't align properly. I tried, my husband tried, & the Best Buy delivery guy tried, without success. Best Buy/Pacific Sales is going to send the geek squad & may have to replace the doors if they can't do it, so we'll see how this goes. I like that the drawers have adjustable temperature settings, there is air in the door sections to keep things cold, & the wifi feature is nice so I know if a door is left open or if the filter needs to be replaced. All in all, I love this fridge, especially the black stainless color! I'd give it a 4.5 stars because of the hiccups I've mentioned, but I rounded up!

    Delivery and set-up of this refrigerator was timely and carefully done, but the refrigerator developed a loud vibration noise after two days. It took some convincing on the phone, but LG scheduled a tech visit to our home to investigate. The tech noticed a stabilizer (one of the "feet" that is used primarily to level the unit) that would not deploy correctly and advised us that the stabilizers had a role in noise control He also noticed that the stabilizer could have been bent in shipping or on installation, in which case repair might not be possible and would not be covered by LG under warranty. Fortunately, Best Buy offered to swap the unit out for a new one, since the noise developed only two days after the unit was delivered. Unfortunately, they were out of stock on this unit and a new one could not be ordered for some time. Best Buy agreed to hold open their offer to swap ours out for as long as it took to get a new one. Although we had been feeling uncomfortable in light of our experience, we felt more comfortable now. If the LG tech could not fix our refrigerator, we'd simply request that Best Buy swap it out with a new one, and we'd keep the unit we had until a new one came in. If the LG tech could fix it, we'd advise Best Buy that we didn't need a new one. Fortunately for us, the LG tech was able to fix the unit (he observed a true manufacturing defect) and make it very quiet. We believe our experience was especially satisfying since it not only illustrated the quality of the buying and delivery experience, but also how effectively Best Buy and LG dealt with a problem when it developed. We're happy to recommend this product.

    After shopping for a appliance bundle, we build our house 20 years ago , they needed updating. I went from GE to LG. I don't really have anything bad to say about GE, they all work fine still,except the fridge has some puddling due to a frozen water line. They were also white, general contractor series. First of all the delivery guys were very good. Both orders (the dishwasher came a few days later). they called 10-15 minutes before they arrived and were in and out in no time. We opted to install our self. It was an easy process. I already had the hanger for the microwave up, the hoses we replaced on the dishwasher, it was needed. The fridge waterline was new and that only took a few steps. SO, the fridge is the stainless steel four door ice maker/water thru door.I mainly wanted this model because it did not require us to stoop down into the fridge. I love the deli/meat tray door. I can see whats inside and not have to cram meats and cheeses and deli items in a small square area. I would like a light on the second drawer for the bottom freezer. The slid shelf is also very cool. I don't have many tall things, so this area is just right.The ice maker is in the door which was a must for me, my husband did not really care either way, but, I did not want the ice maker to take up a lot of room inside the fridge and the door area. It was easy to connect to the wireless, but you need and android. Thankfully I have both IPhone and Android. I wish they had it for IPhone . Believe me, we shopped for two months. Get connected with IPhone and this would be 5 stars.

    Beautiful Fridge

    Our 25 yr old side by side just died, YES it lasted 25 years but it was a poor use of space in my opinion. Wanted a counter depth but price and size of interior bins turned me away from them. BEST FEATURE on LMSX 28626S is LG PrintProof(tm) finish. NO FINGERPRINTS! We chose stainless, not Black Stainless. My sister said I would hate stainless because of the fingerprints but this special finish is great so far. Note, not all LG stainless appliances have this finish from what I could tell. I shopped ALL the stores, Best Buy matched a special price for me, had shortest wait time for delivery, had most economical extended warrantee AND 18 months no interest. Can't beat that! This fridge has so much space, just have to get used to a 4 door vs side by side is all. Ice maker is great so far, only 2 of us, smaller size cubes but it's in the door not taking up big area on interior of fridge. We especially like the two freezer drawer feature, less bending down for frequently used items, capacity, flexibility and price. We really liked LG door in door feature BUT couldn't find it with the DOUBLE FREEZER drawer feature, only a flex drawer which does not hard freeze. If LG had a model with both, I probably would have purchased it, depending on price. Husband getting used to having to open two doors to access the glide and serve drawer inside fridge, this is different from a side by side so an adjustment. It's a big refrigerator, so wanting a counter depth originally, it looked like a monster the first day. Have to say, I'm getting used to it being so deep. So far...very good purchase. Great delivery, the two guys did a great, CAREFUL, job.

    Too loud - esp for open floor plan

    I love everything about this refrigerator except 1 critical criteria that I did not consider when I purchased it....It is loud. It goes about it's business of cooling all the food and the temperatures are consistent in all sections, but it gurgles, hums, and whines constantly almost. I had a second one delivered thinking to myself there is no way this thing got all these great reviews and no one cares that it's loud. The second one is just as loud as the first - by my decibel meter - around 49-52 decibels at the unit - which can be heard in not only my kitchen, but my living room and family room if the television is off. LG advertises 40 decibels for quiet operation - the two that I have owned have been closer to 50 decibels. I do really like the refrigerator except for that, but can't keep it due to the noise. Much louder than the Whirlpool side by side it replaced. Since I had it over Christmas, several family members also commented about how it's louder than whatever model they have and how they would not keep it. Hopefully the GE on order will be quieter - that feature has jumped to the top of my criteria scale. One positive note is that Best Buy has been fantastic to work with during this process.

    Only owned for four weeks so way to early to give a fair evaluation. I have a pair of LG washing machine and dryer in the same black stainless steel. They are two years old have a lot of minor scratches on them already. I was torn between black and regular stainless when we purchased this refrigerator. So went with black knowing we have to be very careful around our new four piece kitchen set. But I must say so far I am loving it. My main complaint is the left door slams shut when you close it which rattles everything stored on the door. The right door doesn’t close haft the time unless you push it shut. Good thing it has an alarm on it that triggers in 60 seconds. My biggest complaint is I can’t hook up to the WI FI . I have followed the instructions at least a hundred times. I called Best Buy, Comcast and LG. and none of three could help me get it to connect. It will only connect to 2.4 GHZ not 5 GHZ WI FI . My COMCAST modem is a duel system both MHZ and they all say it should work but no way. So if someone knows why, I would like to know. So only three stars because of these complaints. I would recommend this unit if the WI FI worked.

    Really nice fridge so far, has tons more storage than our nearly 20 year old model. The double doors up top make so much more usable space than the standard side by side. The two freezer drawers are nice too as you can put the stuff you don't use as often on the bottom and more frequently used things up top. Even after a grocery run when our old fridge looked packed, this one has room to spare. An issue we had when installing it was this fridge was maybe 1/4 inch wider than the old one so we had to do some creative maneuvering to get it in, so keep that in mind. Also, if the fridge isn't properly level, the "mullion" (the flap that completes the seal between the upper doors) doesn't operate correctly. Leveling the fridge is crucial to that part working. One thing I could never find online is what does the wifi connection with the phone app actually do - it's nothing ground breaking, just tells you the current temps set for the fridge and freezer and the water filter life. Another thing I've noticed is it's really quiet. The water and ice on the door work well and taste great. My wife was really fed up with the old fridge falling apart so I hope this one lasts a long time.

    This is my 1st fridge with built-in water filtration system. Needless to say, I was SO EXCITED to finally receive it and enjoy my new purchase! After flushing the needed amount of water (and then some!) through the water filter, my water STILL smelled and tasted like I'm drinking water from a chemistry lab. And after 2-3 minutes, my whole mouth would start burning too! Good thing I never swallowed the water, yikes! I tried a new water filter but the result was still the same. So. Because of this defect, Best Buy is replacing my fridge. Other than the faulty water line or filter, the refrigerator is absolutely awesome! I love how spacious it is, how wonderful it still looks inside and out after 2 weeks of using it. I love that I have 2 door freezer. All the compartments are easily accessible and roomy, and the deli drawer and its' adjustable temperature is wonderful! I am very happy with the fridge itself. The chemical lab water experience is what brought my rating down to 2. Hopefully the replacement fridge is going to be up to my expectations!

    First let me start with saying this fridge looks beautiful the new style stainless is indeed better with finger prints and clean up. It’s nice and bright in the fridge section the freezer not so much but you don’t really need it there the drawers open fully. The ice maker is small but seems to keep up with useage also prefer the smaller ice cubes this unit produces water filer is good water and ice tastes good. The fridge section is very spacious. Now for the bad although I picked a much larger fridge then I previously had that didn’t make the freezer any bigger I lost a ton of space with this choice this is how I can say this when repacking the fridge for the first time everything that came out of my previous freezer didn’t fit so make sure you do your homework and check how much room you need the other freezer issue you need to be aware of is items can slide/fall behind the shelves so do not over load it is very hard to get the items if this happens. That said I just need to watch how much food is in the freezer. Just a small tweak

    Love the Black Stainless finish. The fridge is very quiet despite what others have reviewed. Ice maker has been great with the choice from smaller cubes to crushed ice. Water filter is easy to access and the water tastes great! The left door will slam if you let it, so you kind of guide it to close, the right door closes normally. There is a ton of refrigerator space with nice big shelves for just about everything. The bottom wide glide and serve drawer and the right vegetable/fruit drawer does not fully open unless both refrigerator drawers are open. The left drawer will open fully with just the left refrigerator door opened. The bottom freezer is great With the double drawers, the top drawer is used for all of those quick and easy items, TV dinners, prepackaged burgers, fries, vegies ect. The bottom we use for larger items like steaks, roasts, chickens ect. WiFi worked great and easy to setup. We like this refrigerator more then we thought we would.

    I like that the ice maker is built into the door and not inside the refrigerator taking up room. The bottom drawers have a self closing hinge which is a plus cause you don’t want to trip over an open bottom drawer when your putting groceries away. Smart ThinQ app is a plus, the LED lighting is nice and pleasant on the eyes. The chime will keep reminding you one of the doors is opened, wish you could customize the chime. Some people talk about the noise level after being opened but to be honest I don’t really think it’s a loud or annoying sound. You have to be really close to the refrigerator to hear the compressor turn on to the next cycle. You must really want to find a reason to hate the LG refrigerator. Just wish it could hold a little more ice cause it will finish quickly, but it’s better than the faulty design from the other refrigerators. Overall a pretty good refrigerator.

    We finally broke down and bought a new fridge, after months of shopping. We settled on this LG unit because it is large and offered a lot of bang for the buck. 3 hours after it was installed and plugged in, it started acting up. First the door ajar warning started dinging randomly. Then the control panel went dark. I must say that Best Buy was on it like wet on water. At first they said it would be a week before a tech could be sent out. Then called back and said there would be a tech out the next day. When he arrived he troubleshot and found a connector in the door was not making a good electrical connection. He fixed it and was on his way in 20 minutes. Operation has been flawless since then. Several days now. This is a great fridge and I cannot say enough positive about Best Buy products and support. The best!

    We love our LG refrigerator. It so much easier to locate our food products at a glance. Wonderful design. And the frozen food drawers are so convenient to use. Unfortunately just 2 months after our LG purchase our water and ice dispenser malfunctioned. It would have been acceptable if it simply stopped working. Unfortunately it shot water full blast and ice cubes from the dispenser non-stop onto our kitchen oak floor. In order to stop it we had to shut off the water feed to the refrigerator. Also had to disconnect the ice maker and remove the ice bin. Thank goodness we were at home when it occurred, otherwise it would have flooded our house. It was truly a nightmare. Best Buy was responsive and sent out their' team and they fixed the problem, They said it was a faulty sensor. We are happy now that it is fixed.

    Don't buy!

    Bought an LG refrigerator Model/LMXS30776S/03 15 months ago. The fridge is clean - modern and looks sharp, however just came back from vacation and found out the compressor gave out. Still under warranty called and had to wait two days for a tech to show up. He is here two minutes and says it's the compressor. He said LG switched to a cheaper manufacture in Mexico from South Korea, and 6 out of 10 compressors coming out of Mexico fail. Now I'm on a waiting list to get a new compressor. He also stated this is the second LG this week with a bad compressor. Went to the LG Headquarters site and posted a comment - sure wish I had gone there before I purchased. Not a single happy customer.....

    Good fridge, lots of space, lots of pros. Have had it for 7 months now and the cons are the ice maker. Ice is constantly getting stuck if you don't use it all the time and it is petty small compared to my old one. The flapper between the french doors to make them seal automatically broke and had to have it replaced under warranty. This is something to look out for because I did not know it for some time before I noticed it. LG warranty makes you call a service provider in the area after getting off the phone with them and according to the service provider the dispatch sometimes does not come through and you have to call LG back. Other than that, no problems yet and hopefully this is helpful.

    Like the space since the ice maker is in the door, opens up the rest of the fridge. Like the deeper shelves in the door, can fit a gallon of milk. Was drawn to this product because of the double freezer. Wish LG had provided a light up double door with this product would have loved that with the 2 freezers. Time will tell if it lasts . This refrigerator replaced a Samsung we only had for 5 years because of ice maker and compressor problems. The whole refrigerator quit working. So hopefully the sales rep is right in that LG had cleaned up it's problems and lives up to its name

    BEWARE OF LG REFRIGERATORS!!!!!! The linear compressor is garbage and LG doesn’t care that customers are having MAJOR ISSUES!!!! I have a 2 year old $3,000 unit and it’s garbage. I went out today and spent another $3,000 and customer service says “sorry we are closed. We can’t help you till Monday”. The linear compressors that keep going out are back ordered 7 to 10 business days. Then they’re shipping and installation. You’ll be without a refrigerator for two weeks. This is the worst customer experience I ever had. It will be the biggest mistake you’ll ever make DO NOT BUY ANYTHING WITH THE LINEAR COMPRESSOR!!!!!

    So far no issues. Refrigerator seems to be well built and is quiet and looks good. A few things to note... The black stainless steel option is not magnetic on the doors. Not a show stopper, but you should be aware if that matters to you. The app to connect to the fridge is OK, but not great. It does allow you to adjust the temperature, see how often the doors are opened and set some power saving options. One other note... the two freezer door handles were dented and we didn't notice until the delivery men left. However, we called Best Buy and they came out and replaced both handles for free within a week which was very fair and reasonable and much appreciated.

    Originally, we purchased the next level down in order to save money, but the price changed on this one and we opted to purchase it instead. I have to admit that was a great decision. There are just two of us (both adults) in the house so I did not think we would use the door-in-door functionality or the additional ice maker - both have been extremely useful. We originally had an issue where the food in the fridge was freezing. A couple of small items had been missed during the installation by Geek Squad but once those were rectified the equipment had worked flawlessly. For those who are dog lovers, the water spout works great for filling up dog bowls.
