Decided to purchase this with the washer when I found out that I would need to clean out some water and a filter behind a door at the bottom of the washer periodically. I have back issues so this will make doing the laundry easier.

Wife loves the added height

The price was more than we wanted to pay, but the wife felt it was a luxury we could afford.

Buy a pedestal when buying a front loading washer.

Having a front loading washer on the floor is not friendly to the back and knees. When buying a new front loading washer spend the extra money from the get go on the pedestal.

Would rather have divider instead of basket. Not sure what good that is. Pedestals are needed for front load washers or else too low. Expensive, but worth it versus bending down too much.
