Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the 27UL600-W monitor's exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and impressive HDR performance. Many also find it to be a good value for its price and easy to set up. However, some users note limitations with the stand, lack of built-in speakers, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The absence of height adjustment is also a point of concern for some customers.

I've been using this monitor for gaming on PS4-PRO, PS5, Xbox One X and Xbox Series X for the past 18 months. It displays a great 4K picture at 60Hz (HDMI 2.0) but you need to use Rtings.com for the custom color settings. The pre-set brightness and gamma setting are too high and makes the blacks feel washed out if you don't turn them down significantly. I also kept the XBox Series X in SDR mode because it does not display HDR settings effectively on that console. It still looks amazing in SDR, but the HDR 400 is definitely lacking and I did not have the same issue on the PS5 or other consoles. My only other issue is a personal one, I enjoyed this monitor but ultimately felt things were always just a bit too small and with no height adjustment, I had to buy a monitor stand. I moved away from large 55-65" TV gaming and have really enjoyed the smaller screen option, but personally I feel a 32" monitor is the sweep spot for gaming. I'll post a review on the 32" ACER HDMI 2.1 monitor I picked up for the holidays after I play on it and adjust the settings for a few months.

Colors look accurate, has all of the features I was looking for in a monitor. As for the hdr I think it's great. I don't see the point of a monitor needed 1000. 450 seems fine if you sit 3-4 away at a desk. Not looking to burn out my retinas on bright scenes with a 1000. I have a PS4 Pro Xbox One X and a PC hooked up to it.

This is a great monitor at a decent price. The display has good viewing angles, and while it doesn’t quite hit P3 color gamut, colors really do pop. My only wish is that it had a higher refresh rate, but most 4k monitors are at 60 Hz so I can’t complain. The reason I rated it 4 stars is because the included HDMI cable was bad. Other than that, I don’t regret this purchase at all and highly recommend.

Great monitor. Being a programmer, I needed some monitor where I can view most of the code in single monitor. I am really happy with the display and color. It was like night and day coming from old 1080p display. The color seems to be more accurate in this computer. ill recommend this monitor to all persons who needs to have best monitor for their work..

Love LG monitors. Very nice looking and great picture with my new M1 Mac mini. I was concerned by comments that it would shake a bit. They almost all do. However, this one doesn’t unless you hit it hard which is not a typical use case. Very easy to adjust settings as I wanted.

Great budget 4k display. The brightness is bright and I'm never left wanting more. The HDR is not really its strong point. Has Freesync and Gsync is supported. Color is accurate when measured with my Spyder 5 pro. Unless you're willing to pay a lot more for a 144hz 4k display, this is probably one of the best 60hz to get

I'm always looking to have the sharpest imaging possible. My computer tech told me 4K would be a quantum improvement even though the monitor I was using was a high-end one and not that old. This LB 4K UHD is a joy to view. Also the toggle switch to control settings is very easy to use.

I purchased this monitor last year, and let me tell you, it is still holding up strong, with absolutely no issues at all/ HDR is pretty good, color and clarity is also great. It's right next to another more expensive monitor, and its holding its own.

It was time to retire my 10 year old iMac - and I really didn't want to spend another $2,500 on a new one. Instead, I'm trying a Mac Mini attached to this monitor. And its sensational. This monitor has an astonishingly detailed display - and dirt cheap for a 4K UHD monitor.

I've been using this monitor for a couple weeks now. - The size, clarity, and brightness are great. - I use this for 4K 60 FPS gaming (managed to get myself a 3080) and it seems to perform well. I think there are some minor quality issues with it not supporting G-sync, but it's nothing that I really notice. - I feel like the white balance is off. I messed around with the settings for a while and it now looks good, but I feel like it still is a little too warm. I found the color settings difficult to navigate and it often wouldn't let me change settings I wanted to change. - I run a gaming PC and a Mac mini with dual monitor set up. Switching inputs requires 5 button presses. Also, my Mac sometimes has difficulty recognizing the monitor when switching so I have to restart my Mac. When waking it up from sleep, it takes even more button presses. - Bottom line: This is a good monitor held back by poor out of the box color calibration and difficulty in switching inputs. For the price (I paid $280 on sale) it can't be beat, but I ultimately will relegate this to my secondary monitor with my primary monitor being a 4K 144Hz display.

Works well with my macbook pro, bought a Moshi USB-C to displayport cable from apple. Very clear, sold, affordable monitor. Only thing is, the monitor keeps saying to use the cable that came with it, and every if I use that one, it still prompts. It goes away after 5 seconds.

This is an amazing monitor, delivers sharp image, clear and stunning colors for typical computer use or movies. However it's not so amazing for playing games as it is not monitor that has high refresh rate. Overall, highly recommended for average use.

Picture looks wonderful, required minimal changes out of the box, easy to setup. Using a combination of displayport from my PC, and HDMI from my PS4Pro, and setting up HDR on my PS4 was super easy.

This is a very nice monitor; especially for $ 279.99!! I also have an LG 4K 27UD68P that I bought about 4 years ago. It was beginning to develop blacklight bleed in the corners, so I chose to upgrade. When I saw this for the price I previously mentioned, I didn't hesitate to place the order. I also purchased a 4-year Geek Squad protection. I felt that it would have been silly not to, considering the already low price. In addition, I actually received this 24 hours after I purchased it online! It was incredible! I did, however, change out the stand with a much better aftermarket item. Again, this was a great deal and I love the HDR effect with PS4 Pro sports games.

HDR vs SDR: Vibrancy and Text Clarity

As I was adjusting and fine tuning this monitor (and I am sure this applies to other monitors in its class (4K IPS HDR)), I discovered something that was unexpected. To take advantage of the HDR capabilities in Windows 10, HDR must be enabled in Windows. When doing so the vibrancy of 4K HDR videos is significantly increased. However, even with HDR/SDR adjustments- the text quality is never as clear as it is in non-HDR mode (SDR). And the SDR screen colors do not seem optimal. Further, in HDR mode, the number of built-in monitor color adjustments/calibrations that are available are limited. Further, even in SDR mode- there are clear tradeoffs in brightness/contrast and text clarity- making the monitor's brightness capabilities somewhat besides the point (except of course when streaming 4K HDR video). These tradeoffs have caused me to disable HDR mode in Windows except when viewing HDR video. This is not difficult to do in Windows 10- but the need to do it was unexpected.

I got the previous version of this monitor for almost half and its the exact same panel. Also LG charges a hundred or more just to have an adjustable stand. This monitor has a great picture but its overpriced. The other even more expensive 4K LG monitors are the same panel with other issues. I returned this.

I'm using this as an added 3rd monitor. I wouldn't use them as a main, but the size and specs, abd the price, they're not bad. For a Main monitor I'd drop the 4k and stick with a 1440p and go with a faster refresh rate than what comes on a 4k.

Exactly what I was looking for. I have this monitor connected via HDMI to my home and work laptops and it really provides much needed space to open multiple documents and applications. Only 4 stars because the height of the monitor cannot be adjusted and I can’t get the built in speakers to work.

I bought this monitor for work from home during covid, and to edit my digital photos as I have a hobby as amateur photographer. For work I do mostly normal word processing, spreadsheets, but also a major part is computer aided design, and computational fluid dynamics. My previous monitor was ok for graphic heavy applications, but the individual fonts seems sort of fuzzy on the edges. This monitor is crisp clear, sharp, and has a great dynamic range. In other words, my photos looks great, I can clearly see computer renderings of my designs, and (most importantly) I can read my emails!
