    2 Failed LG refrigerators in 5 months. Bad quality

    I bought an LG refrigerator 5 months ago and it never cooled down below 43F. After 3 months of frustration, Best Buy exchanged the refrigerator per LG USA's request. I got this Refrigerator 2.5 months ago, since then it stopped cooling twice. Each time I submitted a repair request through LG website and it took 2-3 days for them to get back to me. First time we had to do a manual defrost on the unit, which takes a day to defrost and another day to cool it down. So the fridge was out of commission for 4-5 days. Two weeks after the first incident, refrigerator stopped cooling again. This is very frustrating. Just to put in perspective, our first LG refrigerator lasted 10 years, second LG refrigerator never cooled for 3 months, third LG (current) lasted 2.5 months. My parents refrigerator lasted 50 years and it was still working when we finally got rid of it. Clearly LG customer service is very slow to respond and product quality is not there. I DON'T RECOMMEND ANY LG PRODUCT TO ANYONE.

    I would add five stars but since my brand new refrigerator came with a small dent in the Bottom drawer I can’t and they scratched the front of my fridge when they installed the handles I know it took me so long to vent but I really wanted to give this refrigerator five plus stars and Best Buy five stars but I’m not just horrible expensive experience for me $1800 plus taxes and interest and my fridge is a piece of junk already!!!

    It’s OK!. In my opinion it is overpriced but it is what it is. I personally would not recommend it to anyone.

    DO NOT BUY A REFRIGERATOR FROM LG Our first LG refrigerator lasted eight years. Bought this model as a replacement and it lasted 13 months. Unacceptable! And BEST Buy extended warranty isn’t open on Sunday so you are without a refrigerator over the weekend and they don’t care.

    I just got it in Oct 24,2023 it’s a crap The refrigerator doesn’t work and what they telling me to disconnect it for 8 hrs and wait 24 to 48 hrs to see if it works Smh I don’t have a extra fridge so that means all my food is going to be wasted

    so roomy and easy to see what is on each shelf and in each drawer. the freezer drawers are nice and it makes plenty of ice. We are very satisfied.

    Best fridge ever!! Looks cool just standing there making everything cool inside. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and walk to the kitchen and just open it and stare at it.

    How is LG allowed to sell refrigerators????

    DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR! You will surely regret it in about 5 years. After the compressor died exactly 5 years and 47 days after original purchase, LG refused to cover the labor (which only has a 5-year time limit). They, at least, covered the compressor and its related parts. However, after laying out $800 in labor, the compressor LG sent was defective. So now 2 weeks later, I still have no working refrigerator. Their customer service is both slow and non-English speaking. After no fewer than 7 calls, I'm still waiting on the replacement compressor. I'm sure it'll be at least 3 weeks and $800 later before the refrigerator is running again. Do yourself a favor and stay away from LG before you live to regret your choice.

    Buy samsung or something else

    I've had this for a few years now. Absolute garbage product. I've had to replace the compressor at 2 years which was very expensive and now after 6 months it's out again. My matching LG dishwasher also constantly faults and I have to remove it and discharge power 3 or 4 times and then it starts working again. I've had constant issue's with all 3 matching appliances as the microwave has its problems as well. LG SUCKS!

    2 compressors in 5 years

    Right before the three year anniversary of my purchase of this refrigerator, the compressor broke. Luckily it was right befoe the three year mark, so it was covered under warrannty by LG. However something else broke too and I went without a working fridge for a month, and LG gave us a whole $100 to replace all the food we lost. They have extended the warranty on theses to five years, which is fortunate because I am about 3 weeks shy o of 5 years and my compressor went again - this time it only took two weeks without a fridge for LG to fix it.
