The shelves are good, but they have such large support arms that you can't slide large items under them easily. Also, even though there appears to be many shelf adjustments, there still doesn't seem to be enough. The vegetable and fruit drawer humidity adjustments are so big they interfere with moving things on or off the shelf. The fridge will occasionally make such a loud compressor noise I called LG support, I think it's fine, only a result of it being so quiet most of the time. Finally the freezer door doesn't close as smoothly as it should.

Almost 2 years without any trouble, then the compressor went out. Had warranty coverage for labor and took weeks to get fixed through the authorized dealer.

This refrigerator works well. Good temperature control and convenient design. The compressor is very quiet; however, the quiet compressor is made pointless by the ice maker fan which drones on constantly. If you've heard of tinnitus and don't want it, then don't get this refrigerator. I hear it all the way upstairs in my 3200 sq ft house. To be fair, this sound doesn't bother my spouse; however, she isn't too happy that I've now turned the upper door ice maker off because of the noise. Fortunately, this unit has dual ice makers so we still have ice in the freezer. But it is less convenient.

In the first year I have had two items covered by warranty. The ice maker in the door broke and had to be replaced and the fridge started leaking from where the water filter enters the fridge. While it is good that these items are covered you have to take time off of work to get the repairs done and it took over 2 weeks to get the first of two technician visits scheduled and then they need to come back after another week when the parts arrive. I would look elsewhere if you are in the market.
