Just What We Wanted

We’ve only had it for a month so it could be too new to give a fair assessment, but this refrigerator has not disappointed at all. It’s a hefty investment, but it has so much space! We made what we thought was a big grocery run when it first arrived and it was still empty once everything was added. The convertible drawer was a must for me, so it was only between two refrigerators. So far, no regrets!

Ironically, Samsung can make TVs and Computers with screens, but they can’t master a screen from their refrigerators. In less than three weeks, we had two Bespoke Refrigerators with the Family Hub screens that didn’t work. The first one was delivered and was immediately defective out of the box - the installers could not get to work. Best Buy sent replacement refrigerator that lasted less than 10 days before the screen went black. We are exchanging it for an another brand’s refrigerator with the same configuration and larger storage capacity but without the internet technology. Not all technology is better. I do not recommend this refrigerator because two failures of the same nature in brand new products indicates a novel concept that was not fully developed and/or properly executed.
Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Refrigerator (LRMVS3006S) model. We understand how important it is for a new refrigerator to be reliable from day one.
To help with general care on this model, one helpful step you can try—if you still have access to the unit—is performing a power reset by unplugging it for about 60 seconds and plugging it back in directly to a wall outlet. This can sometimes restore display responsiveness. You can explore more support information for your model here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-LRMVS3006S.
We’d like to take a closer look into your experience and review what options may be available. Please send us an email at [email protected] so we can assist you directly. ^Juvy

I’m enjoying the size of this refrigerator and having the craft ice, but the ice is never enough after one cup. We have to wait a long time to get another one, so I called Best Buy and they said they will send me another one, but it will not be here till January 9, in general it’s a great refrigerator.

For the cost the refrigerator is okay, it has deep shelves and works great. HOWEVER one of the main selling points is the cocktail ice maker in the freezer. Ours just broke for the fourth time.....I can't imagine how they can charge this much for something that breaks constantly, also we have only had it 2.5 years. When we do get the unit fixed it costs us 500 dollars. So every year we pretty much spend 1,000 dollars just to keep fixing that one element. The company should be responsible for fixing these in perpetuity, since they allowed for a cheap alternative to be installed in their unit. Truly it so frustrating and will never recommend this unit for anyone. I'm also a GC would builds high end homes and most clients want this item. Looks like were looking elsewhere.
Hi, Nicklaus. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your concern with the LG Refrigerator (LRMVS3006S) model and the repeated issues you've encountered with the cocktail ice maker. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations.
To help with the ice maker, it might be a good idea to check that the unit’s filters and water supply are in good shape since those can sometimes affect how well it works. But we understand that given the repairs you've had, this doesn’t really tackle the bigger issue of the component's quality.
We really appreciate your feedback, and we’ll make sure to pass this along to the right team so they can look into what’s going on with that part. If you could send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, our team will take a closer look at your situation and see what we can do next.
Thanks so much for your patience and for trusting LG in the past. We're here to help find a solution that makes your experience better moving forward. ^Juvy

Great While It Lasts

This LG refrigerator is great, while it lasts. The fridge is very nice with ample storage capacity and nice features including the craft ice maker. We really enjoyed it.
However, and it’s major for us, we purchased in July 2020 and it was dead by Christmas 2024. In the fourth year of ownership we replaced the craft ice maker for $250, then had a refrigerant leak repaired for $500 only to learn the compressor failed. We opted to not replace it for another $1,000+. Instead, we purchased a new refrigerator.
We initially paid $3,300. For such a luxury item to fail so quickly and ultimately cost $4,000 in 4 years of ownership, we’ve decided it’s better for us to move away from the LG brand for refrigerators. Our home is filled with LG appliances but disappointed in this purchase, specifically the cost vs. life breakdown. We’d rather pay half the price, not have some of the failure prone “features” and hopefully not pay $1,000/year for a refrigerator.
Hi, Dylan. Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the features of your LG Refrigerator (LRMVS3006S) model, such as the ample storage and craft ice maker. However, we understand your concern about the issues you faced, especially given the costs associated with repairs and the early failure of the unit.
We take this feedback seriously and recommend reviewing your warranty options with future appliance purchases. As a potential long-term solution, regular maintenance of critical components like the compressor can sometimes help prevent unexpected issues.
If you have any lingering questions, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport. We're here to support you and address any concerns you may have.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we’re here to help you find the best solution for your home’s needs. ^Juvy

Just getting settled into the new refrigerator but great so far. It’s easy to change shelf heights, the door layout is good. Has a beautiful fit and finish.

Bought an LG with french doors (one with glass window) and bottom freezer 3 years ago. Both the fridge and freezer suddenly stopped cooling this month. I'm guessing it is the compressor that's gone bad. LG claims that its "linear compressor" is more efficient and reliable than conventional compressors. That is simply false. There have been at least two class actions filed against LG based upon its linear compressor technology that allege that it routinely fails within 3-4 years. I called customer service and they don't have anyone in my area that can service it (still under warranty). Said I would get an appointment from an out-of-town service provider in the next 34 days. Yes, 34 days. Horrible, horrible product and even more horrible customer support. LG may make good TVs, but run away from their appliances.
Hey there, Destro. We would be pleased to investigate this further, but we must switch to a platform that allows for back-and-forth conversation. Send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter with the handle @LGUSSupport, and your contact information, and we'll be pleased to see what we can do to help. Thanks. ~Anthony

Lets start with the good. It looks really nice. All shiny and new looking. Impressive looking! You will stick your chest out feeling proud of your new purchase. Amazing knock on glass and lights come one the see thru door. Ability to get diagnostic with a cell phone app.
Now, let get down to real business. I've had this piece of crap refrigerator for just under 3 years (33 months). It has been a complete disaster from the jump. It takes 24-48 hours to stabilize the temperate EVERYTIME you unplug the refrigerator or reset the indoor ice maker (this will occur more than you know). If you have more than 5 people in the house that need ice, good luck with that. You might as well go buy some ice from an ICE house and fill up a cooler. The craft ice is very, very slow to make and it actually doesn't taste well when the craft ice melts. At 33 months, the indoor ice maker finally stopped dumping ice into the bin. I called LG and they sent a repairman to help. He said the ice will not dump because, the freezer is not getting below 20 degrees actual (door temp set at -2 degrees). He exchanged the compressor, condenser coil, and added new freon. No luck! After the third attempt to repair in 2 weeks, the refrigerator stopped working all together. Display error CH E. So, thank GOD I purchased the extended 5 year warranty, but the warranty department will give you hell on refund. If you don't save your proof of purchase (receipt), you will waste your money on this unit because they will not honor the warranty EVEN IF YOU HAVE IT REGISTERED WITH LG!!!.
Other common problems, customer support is all overseas and barely speak English, freezer door seal will not seal properly (replaced twice), freezer fan will rattle from ice build up, funny taste craft ice, app diagnostic will show nothing is wrong, but refrigerator not working as expected. This LG model deserves a negative five rating!
Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with us. We genuinely appreciate the kind words about the design and features of your LG Refrigerator (LRMVS3006S) model. However, we understand your concern about experiencing repeated issues with its performance. We aim to provide products that meet our customers' needs and expectations.
It sounds like your fridge has been having a tough time. For the ice maker and temperature stabilization, you might want to try ensuring the refrigerator is level since an uneven unit can sometimes affect how well it cools. Also, if you haven't checked already, checking the door seals to make sure they're snug can help keep the cold air in and stabilize the temperature more quickly. Do NOT BUY! I bought the black stainless and love the look and appeal of the design. However, after almost exactly 2 years of owning, the refrigerator stopped working and has error codes. I have contacted LG and they refer me to a repair man at my own expense. Its 45 days out of warranty.
Oh and I bought at Best Buy. Paid for the protection plan they offer but apparently that only covers the same warranty time frame as the LG warranty. I contacted them 7 days after the warranty expired from time of purchase NOT time of delivery and they said, "sorry". Apparently you have to pay for a special extended warranty after that and I missed the deadline? How this happened I do not know because, I have automatic payments, etc. but this is a big BIG almost $5000.00 purchase wasted.
The design and features are great but if you want to throw money around every couple years then by all means purchase. If not, stay away! I need to find a technician on a Saturday Nite to see if I am fixable or find a new appliance and store.
And I JUST purchased the same LG brand appliances to finish out my kitchen in the gorgeous black stainless steel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

If I could give this LG refrigerator a negative rating I would! We purchased in April of 21 and it was delivered to our home in May of 21. Within a few months, the craft ice maker stopped producing ice. This should have been our first clue. Had the ice maker replaced. Then 3 years in the regular ice maker quit working. I finally called out the LG authorized repair technician and he determined that it was not cooling properly. Talked to LG and ran diagnostics. They replaced the Di Drier. Came back a week later...still no ice but seemed to be cooling properly. Replaced ice maker. A Week later, still no ice. Technician came out and checked. Not cooling properly again. LG recommended replacing the entire sealed system. Technicians came out a week later and did just that. That is when my refrigerator up and DIED. Long story short, LG sent the wrong parts which caused my fridge to completely quit. They sent out the correct parts and the technicians put those in, However, my refrigerator and freezer temps hover between 45-60 degrees. Last time the technician visited, he had LG on speaker phone in my kitchen and they recommended a replacement. I have gone through the process and the "escalation department" is telling me that I don't qualify to have the appliance replaced...what??? I haven't had a refrigerator that works properly for 3 months and have had technicians in my home no less than 10 times without a resolution. LG's response is they can send a technician out... The technicians have repeatedly told me it can't be fixed. I spent close to $4000 three and a half years ago on what I thought was a top of the line appliance. It is complete garbage and the worst appliance purchase ever. Now I'm faced with having to purchase another one just a few years later. LG and their customer service is completely terrible. DO NOT BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!

This fridge is a focal point of my kitchen. I'm still floored by how much space there is in the fridge. I added some trays to organize things like condiments. It has exceeded my expectations.
