    Unit was bought in Nov 23 of 2018 and broke down in 3/10/24 a little bit more than 5 years, not worth it the 3K we paid

    Worst fridge I've ever had. has had it break 3 times. had to toss out all the food twice. Now its "working" but its barely working. I had a non LG tech come out and he told me right away. Get rid of it they only last about 2-3 years before the compressor goes out. They have issues with oil getting inside and burning it out. Plus multiple other issues. He reset the fridge and told me since the freezer is working after it resets if it doesn't get very cold again its probably a 3way valve in the back. They go bad alot also....I swear I'll never buy a LG appliance ever again

    Worst fridge I have ever purchased! if you are researching this fridge you have been warned. Nothing but a nightmare with this refrigerator - things that have gone bad: compressor, ice maker, freezer panel (have to defrost a few times a year) and out of pocket $650 to get it fixed. Please stay away from this refrigerator, we are getting a new GE to replace, been without a refrigerator for 2 weeks now since the compressor just went out and service repairs take forever!

    Less than 4 years on a $2600 fridge and the compressor has failed. Turns out thats a known problem that caused a lawsuit and settlement (prior years) and a 10 year PART ONLY warranty from LG. We have been without a fridge for 2+ weeks waiting for the authorized repair folks who have "ordered the part". Can't get LG or Narefco to answer the phone or return messages. Best Buy was great in providing the proof of purchase.

    Absolutely great fridge while it works. Unfortunately it has a known issue with the condenser that most repair shops won't touch. We contacted a HVAC company we used for annual maintenance on our A/C, but they were about 6 weeks out.

    Check out LG Linear compressor online... oh it will work great for 2-3 years but that type of compressor has reliability issues. I learned that the hard way. Repair people are afraid to touch it because it’s hard to fix and won’t warranty work due to most failing again with a year... repair man asked me to check it out online if I didn’t believe what he was telling me. Paid almost 4K for mine and it’s beautiful but it barely made it to its 3rd year.

    Do not buy LG appliances

    Absolute garbage along with their support. This refrigerator is 3 years old and it will no longer dispense water or ice unless I put a manger on the door switch and open the door 6 inches. Then it will work. Support was no help. I should have stayed with kitchenaide.

    I will not recommend to any of my family and friends. This is our second refrigerator from LG. Can you believe it? We decided to buy again because the first one we had for our old home was very good for almost three years. When we moved to our new home, we decided to buy again. BUT, not even half year (about 4 months), the motherboard was broken and it took us about 3 weeks of waiting time to replace a motherboard. Our realtor contacted us about 5 months after we sold our home. The buyer told her that the refrigerator broken down. It is too soon for a refrigerator to replace a motherboard. I am very concern of the LG quality.

    Don’t Buy

    Hi, the size and style of this refrigerator is 4.5 or 5 star. However, I would not recommend the quality. I have already had to have this refrigerator serviced once because it stopped cooling after 2 years, and now the 4th year, I need to have it serviced again because of the same issue.

    I purchased an LG because i heard so many great thing about there products but this fridge has been nothing but a nightmare. One repair after another. All started one month after 2 year warranty was up. First it was the icemaker fan, Then rear fan went out. NOW the freezer wont cool. I'm so frustrated with this fridge, I would NOT recommend!

    Best Buy great Samsong not! Broke before 1 year

    I loved my refrigerator and the auto refill pitcher for the first 9 months. NOT anymore. The motor went out in the refill pitcher and when that happens there is no ability to control temp on your refrigerator until you get service. Samsung a week. When the refrigerator was broken I didn't think about removing the pitcher therefore it got the black ugly mold. No where in the manual does it say not dishwasher safe. I wanted it cleaned very well so i put in top rack and it melted. It is a $100.00 dollar part. Had my refrigerator not broke i would of washed it by hand as I usually do. 3 calls into them and no luck getting a replacement unless I buy. Very poor would NOT recommend Samsung!

    Waste of money - too unreliable

    Don't waste your money... 3 years into this fridge it completely died on my family, leaving us stranded with loss of a lot of food with an 8 month pregnant mom and two toddlers in the home. After quite an effort with the warranty company to fix it we are stuck with no guaranteed appointment to try to fix it, no replacement and no fridge. From other friends who have this same fridge as well this 'dying out' situation is nothing new. If you want a reliable refrigerator to last through the years this is apparently NOT the choice for you. The doors are fun, though, sure.

    Ice Makes stops working

    I have LG - 29.7 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French InstaView Door-in-Door Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Refrigerator. Just after 2 years the icemaker stopped working, and water is also not getting dispensed. It is showing error code E 15. I tried to contact LG and created a ticket. No one has responded. I don't expect to see issues in a $3000+ refrigerator in under 3 years, but unfortunately LG also did not responded.

    4 LOUSY MONTHS!!!!!!!!!

    This thing croaked after a 30 second or so power outage when it was LESS than FOUR MONTHS old! I lost $2-300 of groceries! They had me unplug it and plug it back in AND wait TWENTY FOUR hours! After that the fridge was at about 48 (set to 33) and the freezer was at 28 (set to -6)! Now I must wait ANOTHER DAY and a HALF for a technician (Smart diagnosis did NOT work) and was told that it could be even longer if the technician has to order parts! I will NEVER buy ANY LG product again!

    Deceptive claims

    Open the middle drawer and you see you can select different temperatures. The coldest is 29 degrees which in USA means your stuff will be FROZEN but no and worst of all in the book it has a disclaimer that it won’t disputed LG false blatant fake false claim of putting it can go to 29 degrees which again is below 32 degrees which means FROZEN. However you find out AFTER you bought this thing and had your old refrigerator taken away and stuck with it.

    LG's Linear compressors fail after 2 years!

    There are class actions lawsuits against LG's linear compressors. They fail within 2 years and LG will not pay for the full parts and labor. When it fails a second time LG pays for nothing. They should not be allowed to continue to sell models with the linear compressor.

    Please read this before buying an LG fridge

    Wish I would have read reviews more carefully, especially those written by people who have units for 1 full year. EXPENSIVE repairs less than 18 months from time of purchase. Good luck finding a repair person willing to work on these fridges. Well known history of shoddy workmanship, so much so, reputable repair people refuse to work on them. Just sunk $800 into an essentially new fridge to keep it running.

    This refrigerator stopped working less than 3 years from purchase. Fridge isn't cooling properly. I did not purchase any extended warranty and parts and labor are only covered by LG for 1 year. This is horrible. Now all my food is going to go bad.
