    Worst Customer Service Experience Ever

    I could write the longest review in history describing the details of my experience with this fridge and the debacle they call "customer service", but I'll try and make it relatively short because I want you to read this in its entirety. You need to be aware of what could happen to you when you have issues with LG products. Again, if this looks too long to read, make yourself do it, this is the short version. I bought this fridge in the black stainless steel version last June and have had a repairman to my home a total of 8 times in the past 11 months. Four total "repairs" that required 2 visits each time. The first 4 times was because of a leak in the door on the ice machine side during the first month we had it. Ultimately, that repair stuck and has been fine since the last repair, Fast forward to April of this year and the story goes south pretty quickly. The unit started making a VERY loud and annoying noise, intermittently. Think of a drum solo at a rock concert, and that drummer was the worst drummer in the world. I called customer service and ended up having the repairman come out. He came, and of course, being an intermittent issue the noise didn't happen while he was there, but he ordered some parts and came back the 5 days later to install them. Note, he never checked for any open service bulletins for the problem I described. The noise came back the next day after he replaced the parts (some fans). I was not happy, I called back customer service after going round and round, the rep asked me again how many times I had repairs and then tells me I qualify for a replacement or refund, but I needed the receipt scanned and sent into them. I had to go back to the store to get a reprint because I couldn't find it, and did the scan and send process. No one called me back for 5 days and I had to call them only to find out that now I didn't qualify for the replacement. That was one of at least 6 lies I was told over the 3 weeks by the customer service team. In short, I was forced to have another repair performed last week. This repairman called and checked for open bulletins, and yep, my complaint was on file and had a listed repair. Why wouldn't that be standard practice on every repair? He ordered the parts and installed them a week later. The noise was gone for literally 8 days! The little drummer boy is back in my kitchen. Went round and round with those people again...they still won't replace or refund! They are rude, talk down, talk over, are non-empathic and worst of all have no authority to satisfy a customer that has had multiple repairs, three of which will be for the same exact problem. It would be different if this was the first time I had an issue, but this will make it 5 repairs and 10 total visits. They make you feel like you are on trial and are complaining just to complain. I have spent over 5 hours total on the telephone, spoken to easily a dozen reps and have had to explain the story over and over. Today the lady told me that escalation team "refused" to speak to me because there was nothing they could do and I would have to have the repairman come out. I purchased an LG OLED TV last year that I gave a positive review about, but I would have stayed clear if I knew what I know now about the lack of customer service. Spend your money elsewhere.

    Make sure they can properly deliver it!

    UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW.. delivery guys come today at 5pm after fridge stays outside since 8am yesterday with no clue of what they are there for. Call dispatch, their boss had no idea either. They are not even installation guys, only drop off. We tell them to just take the fridge back. They say they are going to the truck to charge their phone AND THE DROVE OFF!! You can't make this up. Best Buy has no resolution but I am having them pick up all 6 items that were on the order! Wish I could review less than a 1 Star!!! Customer Service experience has been absolute worst and noone can help! Had a $3900 refrigerator delivered. We declined what they call "installation" charge. The description only talks about a water line install. I didn't need help with that so I said no. Turns out this means they won't even remove the fridge from the box or give you enough time to remove and look at it to make sure its what you even ordered, let alone in good condition. Now we're stuck having to take the doors off and take it apart to get it through the door on our own. This wasn't explained and the website says free delivery gets the fridge delivered to your room of choice. That doesn't mean my front porch!

    Best Buy great Samsong not! Broke before 1 year

    I loved my refrigerator and the auto refill pitcher for the first 9 months. NOT anymore. The motor went out in the refill pitcher and when that happens there is no ability to control temp on your refrigerator until you get service. Samsung a week. When the refrigerator was broken I didn't think about removing the pitcher therefore it got the black ugly mold. No where in the manual does it say not dishwasher safe. I wanted it cleaned very well so i put in top rack and it melted. It is a $100.00 dollar part. Had my refrigerator not broke i would of washed it by hand as I usually do. 3 calls into them and no luck getting a replacement unless I buy. Very poor would NOT recommend Samsung!

    I will not recommend to any of my family and friends. This is our second refrigerator from LG. Can you believe it? We decided to buy again because the first one we had for our old home was very good for almost three years. When we moved to our new home, we decided to buy again. BUT, not even half year (about 4 months), the motherboard was broken and it took us about 3 weeks of waiting time to replace a motherboard. Our realtor contacted us about 5 months after we sold our home. The buyer told her that the refrigerator broken down. It is too soon for a refrigerator to replace a motherboard. I am very concern of the LG quality.

    LG just cant cool

    Just had the LMXS30796s delivered two days ago. We had bought the LMXS30776s 2.5 years ago and cooling failed (completely). We loved the size and function of the model so we bought the 30796s to replace the first LG - feeling certain that they would have fixed any flaws on the cooling. However, after two days, we are sorely disappointed - again. Cooling wont engage for 5-6 hours plus after you open any door. Freezer turns ice cream into shakes, refrigerator (and flex drawer) only to 50 degrees after 6 hours from loading three bags of groceries today. Back to GE, not as innovative, but definitely more reliable.

    This refrigerator is the worst one I’ve purchased. I have another LG and this one does not come close to the one I have. The glass window light does not turn on when I knock on it but it turns on and off randomly. Sometimes it’ll turn on with loud noises as well. It’s giving me so much trouble and I’ve just had it for about 2 months. The left door swings back and forth and is so inconvenient to put my groceries away since it doesn’t stay put. It’ll just close on its own. It will not stay open! It is so frustrating! Please check it and make sure it’s working if you decide to buy it. Especially if you’re buying it from Best Buy! They’re not very helpful!

    Expensive short lived

    Check out LG Linear compressor online... oh it will work great for 2-3 years but that type of compressor has reliability issues. I learned that the hard way. Repair people are afraid to touch it because it’s hard to fix and won’t warranty work due to most failing again with a year... repair man asked me to check it out online if I didn’t believe what he was telling me. Paid almost 4K for mine and it’s beautiful but it barely made it to its 3rd year.

    Deceptive claims

    Open the middle drawer and you see you can select different temperatures. The coldest is 29 degrees which in USA means your stuff will be FROZEN but no and worst of all in the book it has a disclaimer that it won’t disputed LG false blatant fake false claim of putting it can go to 29 degrees which again is below 32 degrees which means FROZEN. However you find out AFTER you bought this thing and had your old refrigerator taken away and stuck with it.

    Very Poor Product

    The refrigerator makes an extremely loud rattling noise. At times the noise is so loud it’s hard to speak above it. I have contacted LG several times regarding this issue. They have not assisted with the problem by sending a service rep instead they insist the noise is normal for this product. Not what I would have expected for several thousand dollars! I have scheduled a servicemen to come at my own expense to address is this issue. I would not recommend this product nor anything manufactured by LG.

    4 LOUSY MONTHS!!!!!!!!!

    This thing croaked after a 30 second or so power outage when it was LESS than FOUR MONTHS old! I lost $2-300 of groceries! They had me unplug it and plug it back in AND wait TWENTY FOUR hours! After that the fridge was at about 48 (set to 33) and the freezer was at 28 (set to -6)! Now I must wait ANOTHER DAY and a HALF for a technician (Smart diagnosis did NOT work) and was told that it could be even longer if the technician has to order parts! I will NEVER buy ANY LG product again!

    Our experience was not good at all we almost had to have them take back our refrigerator because it wouldn’t fit through our kitchen door it fit through our front door but once it was in the house we couldn’t get to the kitchen dining door to get to the kitchen I’m still waiting for Best Buy to call me back to see what kind of compensation they will be giving us we had to hire a contractor we had to widen our door in order for it to fit into her kitchen

    Please read this before buying an LG fridge

    Wish I would have read reviews more carefully, especially those written by people who have units for 1 full year. EXPENSIVE repairs less than 18 months from time of purchase. Good luck finding a repair person willing to work on these fridges. Well known history of shoddy workmanship, so much so, reputable repair people refuse to work on them. Just sunk $800 into an essentially new fridge to keep it running.

    Since April purchase...Water and Ice taste and smell terrible...after 4 geek service repair visits it is still the same horrible taste and smell. Not drinkable or usable by us, friends or, family ! Nothing has been repaired ...feeling dispair...

    Had two separate quality issues. The water had an after taste and the vista view door light turned on then off intermittently. Had to have one unit replaced and the second unit repaired. Buy at your own risk.

    Avoid this fridge and lg . The fridge has not worked correctly since it was delivered and two months later still wont go below 40 deg. LG has been horrible to work with. I have no hope of it ever working.
