I have had this refrigerator serviced 3 times since purchasing. There is so much ice in the freezer that I feel like I had a 1950s refrigerator that required defrosting. LG states there is nothing wrong with it. This is just how the refrigerator is. See photos.

Transitioned from 25 years with 27cu ft. 2-door side-by-side refrigerator, and this one has so much more room! Very versatile space has adjustable shelves. Love door-in-door for quick access to favorite foods, especially happy that ventilation through this section keeps food as cool as main compartment. Large 3 drawer freezer gives lots of space, but some foods get lost in the deep main drawer. Haven't used the lower freezer Icemaker yet, but glad to have the dual icemaker function to have extra ice when needed. Love the print-free black stainless! It still blends VERY well with all other regular stainless appliances in my kitchen. However, Dark labels printed on door ice/water dispenser are difficult to see without good lighting, and light only turns on when water or ice are dispensed. Wish there was a switch to turn light on/off like a nightlight. With great pricing during holiday sale and with extra price matching discount, this was a great value. Overall extremely happy with this purchase!

Highly recommend this fridge from LG! We purchased it to replace an 8 year old Kenmore Elite fridge that had a leak in the seal system. Love the layout of this fridge, the double ice makers is awesome, and even like the pre-measured water fill option on the water dispenser. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the door in door option, but so far, so good! I also have to nothing but GREAT things to say about the overall delivery and installation experience. By far the best communication I’ve ever had as a consumer. Sent daily reminders of how much longer it was until our delivery and installation date, and on the actual day of delivery got a two hour notice of our time window with in the original time window they gave us, as well as sending me a text 20 minutes before they arrived...and they arrived right on that 20 minute mark!!! The two gentlemen that delivered and installed the fridge were very professional and you could tell they were seasoned employees of the delivery agent Best Buy contracts with. They never used dollies or any kind of hand carts, rather had a strap mechanism that went over their shoulders and around their body and then hooked on to the bottom of the fridge. It really was something to watch them bring the fridge in a very tight fit without scratching it or doing anything other than getting it in my house and installing it. Overall, very pleased with our new fridge and even more so with the delivery experience! Thanks Best Buy!!!

We've had this refrigerator one month at this point. We replace another brand that was less than 6 years old but wouldn't keep consistent temperatures and the ice maker froze up. We gave up. This refrigerator has been great. It is much larger than I expected internally, while taking up basically the same footprint as our 26 cu ft fridge. We're happy to have ice again too. Also, surprising, they are actually ice cubes (similar to what you'd get from an ice tray) not the typical crescent shaped you typically see from an ice maker. I thought the door-in-door was kind of a gimmick/silly, however, its very convenient. We're keeping milk, butter, and a few other often used items there. One comment from my spouse is that its compressor does seem to be a little louder than our previous fridge, but it still isn't too bad. Also, the wifi capability seems a bit pointless, as the main thing you could do is change the temperature, which you'll not typically be doing. Oh, and I was excited about "measured fill" as I thought it may not require holding the glass to the dispenser, but the only thing it does is turn off the water after the selected number of ounces. So likely this will not be used much either. We're happy to have ice again. Having two ice makers will help that out. We have had the ice in the door freeze together slightly twice, but giving it a quick shake to un-lodge the ice fixes that. I'm not surprised by this and its very easy to resolve. The in-door ice maker has very easy access to remove it. assuming we're still having the same experience 1 year from now, this will be a great purchase. For now, certainly I can highly recommend.

ADVICE: When shopping for any major appliance, take a bag of your normal everyday jars, bottles, cans, containers, etc to the store and make sure they fit in the model you are looking for. Yea, people are gonna look at you weird but if you want a perfect fit you gotta try it on just like a pair of shoes!!!! Pros: 1. Interior is huge (see cons for functionally of shelves) 2. Allows for use of magnets anywhere on the exterior (one of the reasons we chose this over the other model with the temperature controlled drawer as well as the model with the see through door). 3. Temperature control is very accurate (used a manual thermometer and it was accurate all over the inside of the unit regardless of where I put it). Keep in mind for any brand or model, opening and closing the door several times a day will always render the front interior doors and items located on front shelves a bit warmer than the rear. 4. Door in Door feature comes in handy especially if you have kids (fits juice boxes, small yogurts, cheese sticks, etc. on the smaller door shelves). Fits a gallon milk and regular sized juice bottles, or 2 liter bottles on larger shelves. 5. Dual Ice Maker comes in very handy for extra ice. Keep in mind, if you need ice for a beach day or a big party this will not make enough with even both ice makers all at once. I would say with both ice makers, you can fill 2 bar sized ice buckets. Cons: 1. Power Cord: Power cable comes from electronic box located on the top front of fridge. SO KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN MEASURING. You will need at least a half inch of clearance in the rear of your fridge from the bottom of you cabinet if you want to conceal this power cord and run it behind the unit. Otherwise, if you go by the rear measurements, you will need to cut your cabinet or run the cable down the side to make the entire unit fit under your cabinet. Front doors and plastic housing hides this cable from the front and side views. However if you are over 6 feet tall, you will see this power cord on top of the fridge. 2. Interior Layout Even thought there is tons of space inside this unit, the door shelves are poorly designed. An extra inch here or a few centimeters there there would make the door shelves much more functional and actually fit stuff. The large interior shelves are adjustable but takes a while to get the right heights set for your use. Interior shelves could be an inch shorter to make door shelves expand to be more useful. If you are shorter than 5'6" good luck reaching the very top rear inside the fridge. You will definitely need a step stool if you are under 5 feet tall (so adjust the shelves accordingly). 3. Smart App functionality is completely useless. I still have yet to get this thing to work. The way this is described, you would think you can truly control certain functions, but it doesn't like. Seems like it's only for service issues on this model. 4. This one is huge for me. Unless you put it in Sabbath mode (which shuts off the water supply, lights and all electronic controls but keeps the cooling working) there is NO WAY TO SHUT OFF THE ANNOYING FRIDGE DOOR ALARM OR REDUCE THE BEEP VOLUME ANYTIME YOU TOUCH A FUNCTIONALLY LIKE WATER OR ICE). So, for example at 3 am if you wanna get a drink of water and it's set to ice, the panel will "beep" when you press the water function and your entire home will hear it.

Overall, this refrigerator appears to be great for the price. Time will tell about its durability. I prefer when one does not have to push buttons to chose between ice and water in the door, but we can deal with the buttons. I love the two ice makers, which were a primary reason for choosing this model, as well as the LG warranty. Some of the door bin configurations, especially on the left hand side, are not ideal (too narrow), but overall I like this fridge very much.

My wife and I were stuck between kitchenaid and LG but decided to go with LG after reading reviews. This fridge is beautiful on the inside, I love the door in door and the ability to fill 4, 8, 16, or 32 oz or measured pour water. I use it all the time for protein shakes, pre-workout, and anytime measurements are needed for cooking. The dual ice maker is very convenient. I haven’t heard any strange noises that others have mentioned. The door with the ice maker will shut rather hard if you let it but the shelves on that side are smaller anyway so it’s not a concern for anything falling off. Overall it’s a great purchase and a huge step up from our last one. Just hope it lasts. Also it is a huge fridge, so make sure you have the room to get it into the kitchen. Love it so far.

We purchased this refrigerator to use in our new home. The size is amazing and we sure have enjoyed the features. Having the door-in-door saves having to open the main door when accessing tea and soft drinks many times a day. The inside lighting is great and making seeing what's there easy. The freezer is large and has three separate compartments that allow storage of different size items. There is additional ice make in freezer as well as ice and water through the refrigerator door. It's been an exceptional addition and we're so glad that we bought it.

Purchased as replacement for our prior French door expensive two year old Samsung fridge. Loved the Samsung but the ice maker kept freezing up until it finally just quit. The Door-in-Door storage is much better than on our previous model. Fridge is very roomy & bright. A little on the pricey side but if the ice maker lasts over five years I will consider it a great buy!!

This was a significant upgrade over our previous refrigerator and we are loving the space, particularly the door-in-door feature. The farthest outer shelves are relatively narrow, but this actually holds our objects better and makes them more visible. Our old icemaker and water dispenser were less than ideal, we love the visibility and space for larger water bottles. The ice is gently disbursed. The air filter has done a nice job controlling odors when we've stored some stronger-smelling foods. Alongside the great space and organizing options of the upper refrigerator section, the freezer space is also large and easy to organize. On the outside, the black stainless steel has been a breeze to keep clean and always looks sharp. Slightly larger than our old fridge - this one sticks out a couple of inches more - it actually is a striking visual that looks great. We didn't expect to use the smart device features (Android only), but have actually enjoyed the option to monitor various features like energy use and set the system to optimize cooling cycles around high use periods. This was a real upgrade to our kitchen.

So far so good. Looks great and keeps everything cold or frozen as it should. Nice to have to ice trays, one in the door and the other in the freezer. Good for filling the ice chest or ice bucket. Door in door is great for items used frequently like juice or coffee creamer. Highly recommended.

Our previous fridge decided to go out over the weekend and on short notice we hooked up my trailer and headed to Best Buy, during the Covid 29 pandemic, so we couldn’t go into the store. The appliance rep came to our car door and asked us what we were looking for. And he went into the store and came back with a picture of this beauty of a fridge. It was the floor model in immaculate condition. This fridge has smart space and storage. The doors hold a huge amount of condiments. The shelves are adjustable inside the fridge which allow for getting larger or small items to fit properly. The freezer has several layers of drawers which allows for smaller items and larger items on bottom so everything isn’t stacked on top of each other. It makes plenty of ice and has a tall dispenser for tall glasses. A truly elegant and useful appliance we can’t live without.

Overall this is a great refrigerator. The fridge is huge and the freezer is a pretty good size too. The door-in-door feature is really convenient. The only reason I took 1 star away is due to the noise the fridge makes at times, it is a rather loud humming sound. Otherwise no complaints!

This refrigerator is a replacement for a whirlpool refrigerator that barely lasted six years! I love the interior shelving, large produce drawers as well as the metal back interior wall to provide additional cooling. Also, as a family with three teenage boys, the door and door feature is amazing! The two icemakers are also an additional bonus and much used. The shelving in the freezer is great, especially the middle shelf as the lunch boxes with freezer packs built in fit wonderfully here. The smart Technology that connects to Alexa is pretty cool too. I’ve been able to use the fast ice feature when I was not home to make more ice. Really happy so far with this purchase and I’m hoping that it lasts for a much longer time than our last refrigerator!

Very spacious fridge freezer with tons of room for everything. Nice door in door allows you to bet to bottles and other items without opening the main fridge. Only slight complaint is that the ice cubes dispensed from the door are quite small and melt quickly.
