Lots of Space But Not a Smart Appliance

The fridge section is very spacious which is perfect for households with multiple children or for when entertaining guests. The freezer is a decent size, but after having this unit for a few months I would have preferred it to be even larger. I really like the streamlined water dispenser and overall streamlined look.
I have two issues with this product. Most importantly, this is NOT a smart refrigerator. Best Buy has it listed as such on its website. I wanted to buy a smart fridge. After much frustration trying to get the fridge hooked up to the THINQ app, I spoke to customer service at LG and they told me that this DOES NOT have wifi, only a smart diagnostic feature. Needless to say I am very disappointed in this but it is too late to return this.
The only issue with the functioning of this product is the ice maker. It produces a lot of ice and when the bucket get too full the ice will drop down the back of the freezer into the bottom compartment.
Overall, I think it's a decent product. My main reason for giving it 3 stars is for the lack of being a smart refrigerator. Otherwise, I would have given it 4-5 stars.

May have to update this once we've had it for a while, but so far we LOVE this fridge. It's super spacious and we're able to fit so much into the doors and other compartments. The ice maker is really fast and efficient, and we love the taste of the filtered water. I could see the freezer space being a bit small if you don't have another freezer option, but we have a freezer in our garage so this is plenty of room for us. So far zero regrets in purchasing this!

Plenty of room for everything you want to put in the fridge. The water dispenser holds enough cold water for multiple people. The ice maker being in the freezer may not be as convenient as having ice with the water dispenser, but it also means it isn't taking up space inside the fridge or door. The ice also doesn't melt and refreeze into a solid block since temperature swings are minimized. The only issue i have come across is that there doesn't seem to be a sensor telling the ice maker when the freezer is open and had it dump a tray worth of ice below the shelves, easy enough to get out but still minus one star.

Lots of great ice and cold water! I love the door spcw for mild juice etc. leaves lots of room for left overs and other items in the main area! I got the guarentee and geek squad. The two men that delivered and sat us up were so fantastic!! Showed us it all and top quality at their jobs! Very kind worked very hard and cleaned up and had us done in an hour! I would definitely recommend the LG and yhese two geek squad men!!

We love our new LG refrigerator. Easy to install. Nice filtered water dispenser, which doesn't take up much room inside the door. Lots of room inside. Quit ice maker, works well.

Wow!! Great refrigerator. Way bigger than the dimensions suggest. The outer dimensions are only slightly bigger than the one it's replacing, but it seems like a cavern inside. The shelves in the door hold quite a lot of bottles and jars. The lights are bright and illuminate everything. The water dispenser in the door is handier than I thought it would be. My only complaint is that both doors have to be open to pull out either of the produce drawers. Works great so far, and we're very pleased with our purchase.

The LG refrigerator is very well designed. It is very spacious and allows many convenient spaces and ways to store your items. I love that the freezer is easily accessible and the drawer pulls a lot further out that my previous, other brand, refrigerator. My big issue is that it will not hold a temperature nor cool below 40 degrees, goes to the warmer side instead. I would have expected more from LG.

Have had this refrigerator for about a month now. And it is working wonderfully. Another reviewer had complained about the water being dispensed being not chilled enough. We haven’t had that problem at all. The water is cold. The ice maker makes plenty of ice. And has a nice large trey it dumps into. Makes plenty to keep up with a house of two adults and three teenagers. The inside is very roomy. And love the shelving in the doors. My teenagers drink a lot of milk and this fridge can hold four gallons easily using just the door shelves. Would recommend this fridge to anyone. Oh also the installers they sent were wonderful as well.

The fridge is roomy and decently organized for storage. I don't like the way the left door closes because the sealing flap makes a disconcerting noise every time. The freezer has good space but the top drawer seems should slide out just a bit more, like 6 inches would be better. So far the compressor is still ok. It'll be 1 year in October '24. Already had '18 model compressor failure in June '24. 600 bucks to repair for labor from LG. Of course out of warranty. LG's customer treatment has been horrible on this and will be remembered. I didn't do enough research on the compressors. It will probably last 5 years as well.

We had the fridge delivered and the 2 men [who handled both the old fridge and the new one] were amazing. They were so smooth, working together and getting through the doorframes as if it wasn't such a large fridge.
[NOTE: DON'T BUY A WATERLINE KIT IF YOU'RE REPLACING A FRIDGE WITH A WATER DISPENSER. YOU WON'T NEED IT.]
The storage space is AMAZING and it's been so helpful to have room when I food prep for the week and store multiple 9x13 pans, pyrex bowls, and food products as individual ingredients.
Once 36-48 hours passed, after installation, the water temperature is great and we love the ice maker. We have yet to find a limit on the ice it makes before stopping production so we alternate between running the ice maker and turning it off till we use up at least half the container and have room again. {We're a family of 3 who love our ice water.}
Con: The one time I tried to adjust a shelf height to fit a taller container, it was hard to get back in. We don't need to make that adjustment much so it isn't affecting our ability to enjoy the fridge. Just know that feature isn't as helpful as I thought it would be.

I have had this refrigerator for several weeks, so I cannot speak to its long term reliability, but I can share my experience so far. I love this fridge! It is spacious and well designed. The temperature controls are responsive and accurate. The ice-maker in the freezer is excellent, and I have plenty of ice. I am very glad not to have an ice maker and dispenser in the door. Shelves on both doors are roomy and provide a lot of space for milk and juice jugs. I really like the external water dispenser. It works better than any previous one I have owned. The flow is ample and fast, I have yet to have it "dribble" when I fill a glass, and the way it is designed allows you to fill much larger containers if you want to. The stainless steel finish is beautiful and definitely fingerprint resistant. This is a great refrigerator, and it is half the price of the defective one it replaced. It offers great value and satisfaction!

Absolutely love our new refrigerator. It keeps everything nice and cold and has so much room in it for everything. Also love the cold water that’s always available. It looks great in our kitchen and it really is finger print resistant!

Great Fridge! And it's big! Holds tons of bottles, jugs, and pitchers in the doors alone. Love the LED lighting. The freezer is cavernous with a sliding drawer to hold small things that can get lost. Just make sure you have the room for this refrigerator to stick out. See the extra size isn't in the width or height but the depth. It really sticks out from the wall so don't expect this 29 Cu Ft chiller to be flush with your counter. The water dispenser works as expected, as does the ice maker (located down in the freezer) It drops ice in a bin to scoop out. I'd prefer it in the door but that takes up too much capacity that is better utilized by the inside door beer/ soda /milk storage.
Beautiful fingerprint-free stainless finish and is very quiet to run. All in all I'm impressed so far but time will tell if the reliability is an issue.

This is a great purchase for a big-size family! It has more than enough space, great lighting, and a superb cooling system both for the fridge portion and the freezer. Having a freezer at the bottom of a refrigerator felt kind of odd at the beginning, but after a week I loved this setup. It has easier access, and you can organize your freezer much better. One of the determining factors that allowed us to purchase this LG refrigerator is that the ice dispenses into the freezer rather than externally. Not having an external ice dispenser provides more refrigerator space. Making this LG refrigerator an excellent purchase!

I really enjoy the inside space. Especially in the fridge. The freezer tray is a good feature as well. Only thing that took me by surprise was the water dispenser not dispensing ice. Ice tray in freezer works but did t realize the dispenser was water only from picture online.
I would recommend this to a friend

I absolutely 100% love this fridge. Its not loud as some people have said. Yes, you can hear the icemaker drop the ice, but only if the bin is empty and how often is that? LOL. Theres so much room in the fridge and freezer. Everything glides smoothly. Water is super cold and comes out fast. You are not waiting forever to fill your glass. I have a 7 and 9 year old. They touch everything and it is truly smudge proof and even if something get on the outside, one wipe with a towel and its gone. I am so happy with this purchase!

Very pleased we bought this refrigerator. Has plenty of room and shelves on doors are very well designed and add a lot of space. All works properly. However, the delivery by Geek Squad was less than satisfactory. It took 3 deliveries to get the refrigerators. The first time, the appliance was damaged and I did not accept it. We scheduled another delivery. The second attempted deliver was frustrating as the delivery people thought we already had the new refrigerator in the house and their job was only to install. But of course we had not yet received the refrigerator. The third time it worked out. Each time we removed all the food from refrigerator and freezer, moved furniture to ease delivery, so you can imagine it was inconvenient. But we do now have a wonderful refrigerator
LG French Door Observations and things to consider

Things to consider after having this LG refrigerator for about two weeks now. This was replacing a pathetic Samsung French-door fridge we had for about 12 years but never worked right.
Water in door - works surprisingly well. I did not want the iced make in the door because it takes up precious storage room in the refrigerator (though the water reservoir does take away a little space in the left door). Fills with a nice stream of water and there is no issue filling a 64oz water bottle pretty quickly. Surprisingly, there are no drips once you let go of the fill button.
Ice Maker - This was my biggest concern. My Samsung iced maker was totally inconsistent and neve make enough ice for my family. After first getting this fridge going I was disappointed on it's ice production, but after about 3 to 4 days it's doing very well. It seems to drop allot more ice per cycle than my old one. I hope it keeps it up!
Size - This is a bit larger inside that my old fridge, seems deeper. I like that the water filter is recessed giving more shelf room.
Concerns and other observations - The shelves in the door are not adjustable but seemed to be spaced usefully. -Left door feels heavy compared to the right door because of the water storage. -I would have rather had a solid black instead of the "chrome black" that just looks like a coating over the stainless unit. I do have concerns about the finish holding up. -This "single freezer drawer" unit seems to have more freezer storage that the "two freezer drawer" units, FYI.
All in all, seems to be a decent unit. I just hope it lasts!
