Bought this monitor after browsing sales for 6 months. Couldn't find a better monitor between the combination of size (29inch), input response time (under 5ms), and refresh rate (75htz). This screen is ridiculously wide, as it's intended to serve like a dual-monitor setup. The images have been crisp, colors vivid, and the design is clean. I like the single-button menu functions, which are hard to describe but intuitive. Had I paid $350, this might be a 4 or 3 1/2 star review, as I could upgrade in some areas but likely get less in others. But paying $180 for this monitor was a steal, and anything under $250 would feel fair.

Overall Great Monitor

Originally bought this monitor for my home. I do a fair bit of music production and needed some extra real estate for the screen. Did a ton of research going into the purchase. I fell in love with a that a friend of mine owns. The dell was priced about 700. This is an insane bang for your buck price. I came across this one online and and had great specs for the price. I purchased the monitor 5 months ago. I love it so much I purchased a second one for work. It has become my go to for everything I do. It easily stands up to monitors twice this price. 10/10 will buy a third soon.

This monitor was the perfect choice for me. It's max resolution matches the max supported by my old mid 2010 MacBook Pro. The screen is wide enough to view 3 pages at once though I usually set it for 2. Image quality is great. I just use it for office and photo stuff. I'm not a gamer so I'm not sure how it'd perform with games. I suspect the ultra wide format might not be great for that. I'd say the monitor is a solid 4+ stars unit but I'm giving it 5 stars because it is perfect for my simple tasks and I got it for a steal ($199).

Excellent Wide Screen Monitor for Workstation

This is a solid monitor with good features. Resolution and color are good. Definitely download the on-screen controls to make fine adjustments. Simple plug and play and easy VERSA mounting make an excellent choice. It's really 2 normal monitors in one due to the width. You can have virtual monitors or just use the extra workspace (easier). Is it a gaming monitor - 1080 is ok, 4K no so don't buy if your trying to max out a great video card (1070 or more). It's an excellent workstation monitor. Perfect compliment to MacBook Pro.

I bought this monitor for my son, who is running a Raedon 470 4gb card in his PC setup. The displayport was a selling point for me as well as FreeSync compatibility. The improvement in the images on this unit compared to his last is stunning. He is an avid Overwatch, Rocket League and Fornite player and has thanked me daily for what he considers to be the best upgrade to his gaming experience. The only gripe is that the screen wobbles easily when the table is bumped, but there is no concern at all of it falling over.

What an amazing monitor! I now own both this monitor and the older model of this monitor. The ultra wide screen is amazing for doing work on. I am currently a graduate student, and the extra length does wonders while working on major papers that require a lot of research. If you are considering using this monitor for gaming...guess what you should. It runs at a fine 75 hertz. While not being the 144 that everyone rants, the 75 does amazing for the price you are paying. 10/10 Would recommend.

I bought a new monitor only because my older working model would not run off of my new Lenovo computer as a VGA. I tried an adaptor which worked for about 3 weeks and then just failed to work. Now I have the correct monitor. I bought this super wide because it was on sale and with all things considered was an excellent buy. Other affordable monitors at the Best Buy store were pretty much on my never buy list. But LG has never disappointed me and so far with this one it hasn't.

Really nice monitor for the price (170). Do be aware that the monitor does not have speakers, only input for sound. It was strange because I I connected my laptop sound to the monitor, and there was no sound! Had to take audio out from the monitor and send that to my stereo - I would just rather connect the laptop directly to the stereo.
You will also need to play with the display settings to see what works best for you. I changed the custom scale to 125% and it works wonderfully.

I think this screen is geared for gaming, but when I saw it in the store, and saw the benefits of having an ultra-wide screen for business purposes, I jumped at the chance. I do not regret it. I love having several documents open side-by-side - up to 3 comfortably. It's like having a multi-screen setup with only one screen. Loving the color depth and the resolution. GREAT MONITOR!!

I needed something to use while I worked from home recovering from surgery. I have 2 screens at work and when I remote login on my laptop, everything is so small. Now I can see both screens simultaneously and have been kicking myself for not buying a screen earlier. Only down side is that there are no integrated speakers. I had a pair laying around and use them so all is good. No camera either but I am fine with that as I never use it on my laptop either

It's a solid monitor. I got it so I could fit more rows of Excel on one screen and six decently-sized Finder windows on Mac; does both of those perfectly.
The menu nub is intuitive and pleasant to use, and build quality is solid. Was happy to get 60hz over HDMI from my GTX 1060.
It does make you frustrated at folks who upload 16:9 videos with black bars embedded, but that's the content creator's problem, not yours.

The monitor exceeds my expectations. After about a month of use this thing still rocks! It's a replacement to my 24 inch screen. (Wide enough for multitasking). The only thing I wish wouldn't happen is that the monitor head itself is a little heavy for the stand that it comes with. Every movement I make when typing or using the mouse causes the screen to noticeably shake, and it isn't a little shake either. (Not a violent shake, just a somewhat annoying bounce, which can sometimes be disorienting, but that's just me). Will probably buy a wall mount soon.

My husband had the idea to get me two monitors to assist with the online classes I teach and grade. We headed to Best Buy to shop and found this gem.
I wasn't sure about how it would work for what I needed.
Boy, was I in for a surprise!
This extra long monitor has been life-changing!
I have cut my grading time in half by not having to put everything in pencil and then into my saved spreadsheet. I can grade assignments and immediately enter grades and comments into my spreadsheet.
The display is adjustable and it is perfect! It's crisp, clear and much better than my old monitor. I can't say enough great things about it.

I purchased to work at home with my Mac laptop.Tried to use it with an HDMI cable but the resolution wasn't right and couldn't adjust. So I purchased mini-displayport to displayport cable and it worked just as desired. Great for putting up multiple windows next to each other. So much easier than just using the laptop screen. The widescreen plus laptop is like having 3 screens now instead of just 2!

Unboxed the monitor and set it up with no problems. Took a minute to figure out the joystick like on/off/control point but once you get it, no problems. I struggled understanding where to get the software to allow split screen use, had to call support. Customer Support was great and I'm loving my new monitor with split screens!

I was looking for a new screen that was both super crisp and wide enough to use split screen, I'm very happy with this purchase. The resolution is spectacular and it has a user friendly settings system. Gaming is also awesome on this, but be sure to have a graphics card with at least 4gb, as this screen uses quite a bit of memory. I dock 1 star because I thought speakers would be built into a LG screen this nice. Oh well, I like it enough to keep it.

I needed a higher resolution monitor because I do a lot of web design and need to ensure that I can see every aspect of the web site. This monitor did the trick. Got it on sale in store at a great price and it looks magnificent. Can't say a bad thing about it.

I bought this monitor for my son to help with schoolwork and to use for gaming. It is versatile and the refresh rate is pretty good considering the price. The screen is longer and you get more of the action while gaming.
The 4 way split screen is pretty awesome if you really want to multitask.

This monitor works very well for what it's meant to, especially considering the price. The bezels are very small and the 75hz refresh rate is accompanied by AMD freesync which removes screen tearing in most scenarios. The ultrawide aspect ratio works very well for native 21:9 content, most notably movies and games that support it, however 16:9 or 4:3 content will have black bars on the side.

This monitor was cheap and it works great. I used this with my Surface Pro and the MSFT dock. I have a monitor at work and one at home so i can just move my Surface back and forth between home and office. Resolution is good and the price was right. Very happy with this purchase
