If you are using a Mac, it is advisable to use the displayport cable to get an undistorted image. the cable is not included in the package and you need to shell out money. It costs like $10.00 in amazon. If you use the HDMI cable that came along with it and connect your imac to it, you will get a distorted image. To fix the distortion, you have to change the monitor aspect ratio setting to Original or 1:1. but you'll get these annoying wide dark backgrounds that fills the left and right edges of the screen to accommodate the unmatched aspect ratio. If you are using a windows PC, the HDMI cable works just fine and you'll get the correct image once you've configured your PC.

Such a beautiful display! Great resolution and is great for my office! I now can use a single monitor and work on two documents side by side due the the ultra wide display. Well worth the money!

I was skeptical at first about the ultrawide monitors, but I like to use multiple monitors at work for productivity. For my home office, I purchased this monitor and it works very well. The screen is wide enough to give similar productivity as a dual monitor setup, but with a much cleaner look. The software for Windows is great, as it adds features to aid with screen-splitting, but I also use the monitor with Linux without any issues.

I enjoyed this monitor for 18 months. light use, 10-18 hours per week. A few weeks before it died, I would get a black screen while in the middle of doing something. Then, went to turn on computer this morning, backlit screen only. Menu buttons also not working. Now, I have to research. Might be (hoping) a bad power cord / supply, not supplying enough watts to fully power Monitor or a bad control board. Was expecting at least 4-10 years with no issues.
