I bought this for my dad to give to my mom (he paid) for Christmas and this really sounded great in their living room. I personally have the Samsung HW-N950, and honestly I feel like this performed better then my soundbar. With this we also picked up the rear speakers and the overhead sound really stood out while watching Dolby Atmos movies from their new 4k Apple TV.
The disappointing thing - regardless the soundbar used - is getting things on the right input. I have the Samsung, a Vizio and this LG and they ALL struggle with correct input selection, it is really frustrating.

This is a very nice sounding sound bar. It connects and works very nicely with my LG Nano TV. There are multiple sound settings and five or six EQ settings for fine tuning. The bass isn't anything to write home about however. I compare bass in sound to black in a painting.....it makes it more bold and powerful. So while this soundbar is very clear and sounds really good, it's not "bold".

I had been researching and reading reviews for soundbar systems for several months knowing that I would pick one up around the time of Black Friday deals. It was a purchase that my wife and I had budgeted for because we were having so many issues with our older soundbar system. It was just old and was on the precipice of giving up the ghost. My hope was to find a Sonos Arc on a sale that would bring it down to our price range. When that did not happen, I found this LG set that I figured would work perfectly with my LG TV. What I did not expect and what I was surprised to find is that this LG has all of the most important features of the Sonos system. Dolby Atmos, full immersive surround, etc. etc. The sound is great. Setup was probably a bit more troublesome than it should have been - especially for someone who is a bit of a techy. It was just a bit more complicated than it needed to be. However, once that's taken care of - it works PERFECTLY! AMAZING SOUND! As soon as I got it set up and had everything hooked up - when my wife heard the sound, her eyes got big and she literally said, "Whoa!" Just truly stunning sound that has brought the living room to life! Nice controls. There are probably 2-3 more features I would like to have but not anything that would come close to changing my mind or preclude me from recommending it. In fact - my father-in-law bought the EXACT same set. I went over and set his up for his Sony TV after his Bose soundbar died on him. He and my mother-in-law were blown away by the sound! He has been thanking me for the recommendation and the setup ever since! So yes. I HIGHLY recommend.

Pretty decent sound bar and sub woofer, nothing about it is exceptional. Sometimes it takes a few moments after pausing, for the proper speaker mode to come back on. Struggling with getting the LG app to connect to wi-fi, in order to fine tune speaker levels. Maybe I’ll need to download google home which I prefer not to do?

Really impressed with the quality of sound for the price and form factor. (Got it discounted on Black Friday). The setup for the bar and subwoofer was very easy and it’s all easy to control. The app was a little trickier to connect at first just because it needs to be set up through Google (and needs to have the Wi-Fi activated to use Bluetooth for some reason), but that’s not necessary unless you wish to use those functions. In the end I got this for a theater sound from a compact form and it delivers.

This sound bar is pretty awesome. Has great sound when watching anything on tv especially movies. Bought this with a LG 75 90 series nanocell tv. These two together make for a great theater system.
This sound bar is fairly easy to setup, you can hook it up several ways to the tv. It’s easy to use with an iPhone via Bluetooth to play music, which also sounds great. Did buy this on sale for around $400 don’t remember what I exactly paid for but don’t think I would pay full price.

I'm not an audiophile and this is one of those things that I can say, it sounds great to my ears and is incomparable to the sound coming out of the tv by itself. I live in a free standing house so I get to enjoy this at the sound level I'd like with the bass rattling my windows. I'd hate to live next to someone that has this in an apartment!
I listen to content in Atmos mode and don't know if it is the type of content I listen to or what, but I don't get a surround sound effect. It sounds good, it feels the room, but I've never noticed sound "around" me.
Setup was easy, but one thing I expected was that I could use the google voice like I do a google mini, but you have to hold the button to activate it, so this isn't going to be one of those free standing voice assistants. Good thing is that it is Google and unlike Siri on Apple TV, once activated it can do anything a regular google home device can do.

This thing is amazing. I was going to buy the Bose Lifestyle 650, but decided to take a look at soundbars before I pulled the trigger. I found the Vizio V Series, the reviews were very good and the price was great at under $200. Went to the store to take a listen, and felt like it sounded "good enough", especially for the price. The salesman recommended I take a listen to the LG, and I am super glad I did. It sounded amazing in the store, and sounds just a great in my condo. The center channel is great and it just cuts through any ambient noise and is very clear. The sub is great, especially with ATMOS (be sure to place it properly in a corner). A note about the sub: it's not as window-rattling as the Bose, but it is more than enough for me as I live in a condo and don't want my neighbors giving me grief. But don't get me wrong, it is definitely enough bass. Also be sure to place it away from your wifi router and close to the soundbar, otherwise it tends to disconnect due to interference/distance. I have mine about 6 feet away from the soundbar and have no issues.
By the way, I did listen to the Bose on several occasions, and honestly wasn't blown away, especially not $4,000-worth blown away. I am extremely satisfied with the LG and am glad I happened upon it. I also got the surround speakers and with ATMOS it sounds amazing. As a sidenote, some streaming services such as YouTube TV stream in 2 channel stereo, so if that is all you are watching, there is no need to buy the surrounds. But if you use Apple+, etc., get the surround speaker set up.

Decided to upgrade my sound bar from a Polk Signa S2 to this amazing (but huge) sound bar. I wanted the ability to use the eARC feature on my Vizio TV and it definitely checked that box off. Add on top of it that this sound bar supports practically every audio format is also a bonus. My only gripe with this sound bar is that you have to set it up using Google Home app and then there are some features hidden in LG’s Wi-Fi speaker app (though some of these features are accessible using the remote but you have to stumble upon them like holding down the adjust button to turn surround sound on or off). Once this sound bar is turned on you’ll want to spend the next few days tweaking the sound so you don’t need to keep making adjustments or switch sound modes constantly. It takes some time but you can adjust the sound bar just enough to the point that it’ll work great with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Audio, Stereo regardless of whether you’re watching a movie, listening to music, watching a talk show/news, enjoying some cartoons, and more. I’d recommend this sound bar if you live in a small to medium size home because it does fill the room up just enough to give you a theater experience. Another minor downside to this sound bar is that you can’t adjust the angle of the upward firing speakers like on Vizio’s and Samsung’s sound bars, but those sound bars are limited in what features they have (no eARC, no DTS:X, etc.). This LG sound bar is an all around good sound bar for those that want as many options as possible for audio formats, but just be sure to spend the time needed to make all necessary adjustments for your particular set up otherwise you’ll just replicate the same poor audio quality from a TV’s built in speakers.

Dolby Atmos sound for a small room

Bought these in a deal for 500$. I wanted to buy a Dolby atmos system for a small living room in an apartment and these fit the bill perfectly. These are not too loud such that neighbors are not disturbed and at the same time fill my living room with adequate sound. I paired this soundbar with LG SK8S sorround speakers converting them to ideally 5.1.2 system for my LG C9 LOED. I liked the combo very much.

The setup was very easy. The integration with my LG TV and cable box works seemlessly. The sound is awesome. Of course this is "so far". I have only been using it for a few weeks. I will edit this, if I can figure out how to do it, after I watch movies in each mode to see which sound is best. I played music on the music mode and it sounded good. I dig it and recommend this product.

I give it 4 out of 5 because I got it for a super deal and love it. Sound is good for TV sources and excellent bass response for the size of sub. I was impressed with the sound of the top speakers when system was mounted exposing them. I first installed speakers in a sound bar area that covered the top speakers but once that was resolved, I was very impressed with playing high def on any TV source. What I can add later to this system would increase range if desired so that is a plus if/when I decide to add wireless to make it a 5.1. I took off 1 star due to sound missing high range for full range music sources. sound is OK and bass is good but you can tell the speakers are more for TV sources and not full range music but that may improve with adding more speakers to this simple setup.

Sound is good. It's a basic system with a clear sound. Not top of the line but good. The bass speaker just started having a cracking sound in just over a year. I'm hoping I can get a warranty service.

We are very happy with our purchase of the sound bar. It was easy to set up using the optical connection to our tv and the sound is great! Haven’t been able to program the Direct TV remote to control the volume up and down or turn the sound bar off when the tv goes off, but other than that highly recommend the sound bar.

I returned the Sony HT-G700 Soundbar for this LG soundbar and I'm glad I did. The Sony left a bit to be desired in the bass and vocals and I constantly found myself adjusting the volume for different content. I'm pleased to say this LG soundbar is much more balanced with better vocals and a more balanced sound stage. The vocals come through clearly and the bass is nice and punchy. At first, I was not very enthusiastic about having Google Assistant built in since I already have the Nest Hub in my living room but it incorporates itself very well. The Nest Hub will display what's playing while the soundbar pumps out the music and they integrated pretty seamlessly to my surprise. The upward firing speakers do their best to give you the Dolby Atmos effect but ultimately does not give you the full feature of Atmos (which is to be expected out of a standalone soundbar). I did notice a much improved sound space though over other non-Atmos soundbars with a simulated surround that works well without requiring separate height speakers. For the price range, I do feel this soundbar is great all-around and impressive.

I am very satisfied with this sound system. Replaced a much less expensive model and the difference is very noticeable. Excellent blend of sound between effects and voices. Voices don't get lost in the noise . Set up with an app but worked without too much hassle. Syned up to my Samsung TV without too much issue.
