Great Soundbar!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The soundbar and bass speaker are packaged very good, everything is protected with styrofoam. Set up was pretty easy. Plugged everything in to power and used an optical cable. The soundbar pretty much set itself up as it was on and playing when I went to turn it on. I have it set up with a 75 inch 8 series Samsung tv and the Samsung remote worked the volume with no set up of the remote. The sound is great compared to the tv speakers, my older LG sound bar and a Samsung soundbar that matches a 55 inch curved tv. The low profile of the soundbar allows plenty of room so it doesn't block the bottom of the tv and it fits between the feet of the tv. I went through many of the settings just playing around with it. It does not come with a paper owners manual, you have to download it to your device to keep it handy. I haven't really read through the whole thing yet but I'm sure I'll discover much more about the soundbar that I 'm sure will be a pleasure to learn and listen to. I'll update this review as I learn more about the settings and how they sound. Sorry I can't post any pictures or an update to the review at this time, will post soon.

Had to turn down the bass and treble but now sounds just right. Bass doesn't go deep but it's tight so I'm happy. But I am a little worried about durability based on reviews.

This is truly the earthquake of soundbars. I got the extra speaker set but even before hooking them up, the soundbar and sub alone shook my entire house. If I can get a bigger tv, then there will be no need to go to another movie theater again! My family and I sat down to watch the hunger games and felt completely encompassed in the sounds of the cannons, explosions and even the subtle whidpering of the wind in the trees. It was like we could almost taste the popcorn and overly expensive candy without even being there!! I am also an avid music listener, and no matter what genre I threw at this bar, it performed phenomenally. Punchy bass and perfectly balanced treble, a true concert like experience. The SN8YG looks sleek and classy in front of the tv, and fits perfectly. I love the matte finish on the bar itself and the fact that the sub is entirley covered in the speaker material rather than just the front. Both units are heavy, but in a good way. You can tell these are well made and sturdy. I really wanted to find a contrast to all the positives but honestly I can't, this truly is an exceptional product.

Incredible clear sound but connectivity probs

The reason I give it 3 stars is cause it has constant connectivity problems. Sometimes the sound just disappears and I have to go through a bunch of resets to get it back on. Recently the bar stopped turning on together with the tv which is really annoying. One day suddenly the woofer wouldn’t connect and it took me many hours and efforts to get it reconnected. The sound is incredible especially in atmos but connectivity issues tarnish the whole experience.

Pleased With This Soundbar

My favorite feature is the dedicated center channel in this 3.1 soundbar. With the soundbar in "movie" mode, the center channel really brings forward and emphasizes the dialogue, which tends to get buried in music and sound effects in so many movies. It did take me a while to figure out the best HDMI cabling configuration...with my cable TV box left connected directly to my TV, I had problems with out-of-sync audio and video when watching cable TV content. By moving the cable TV box to the soundbar's HDMI input, that problem is resolved. I love the Dolby Atmos capability; watching Disney+ and Netflix Dolby Vision/Atmos content on my LG OLED TV and listening through the SN8YG soundbar is an audio-visual treat. (Check Guardians of the Galaxy 2.) The low-profile soundbar fits well with the tabletop-mounted LG TV. Out of the box, the soundbar is too bass-heavy, which I guess is the norm because so many people crave earthshaking vibrations and excessive volume, but fortunately there is plenty of level adjustment range available and I could achieve decently balanced equalization.
