This is a great soundbar to pair with any LG television. I have mine paired with my 75 Nano 90, and the sound is amazing. You're not going to throw a concert with this but it would definitely fill a large room with very clear sound. I have mine paired with the LG SPK8-S surround sound speakers, which creates amazing 5.1 immersive experience. I would say this is definitely worth the money. Although you can get much better Sound Bars at much higher prices, I think this will do just about everything you need. Oh, I didn't mention the base. The wireless subwoofer gives off very clear and precise Bass which totally enhances the audio experience. Overall the system it's constructed well with quality materials. Not much plastic at all. And includes mounts with mounting template which makes it very easy to wall mount. Connection options include HDMI ARC, Optical, and Bluetooth. You could also use LG Smart sync. I definitely recommend this unit to someone who wants a nice big Soundbar with great sound add at a moderate price.

Some major points. Sounds great. Bass isn't annoying. Does come with mounts. You just need anchors and screws to center it under the TV. It comes with small screws to attach the bar to the mount tho. Don't lose those. Its comes with a perfect paper template to make your holes. Make sure the paper is perfectly flat to the wall before drilling. Drill right through the paper. Also it DOES Bluetooth music. It does not have Alexa or Google. Or voice control. But for $250 this thing is awesome. Set up is very easy. Plug in the hdmi to your ARC hdmi outlet on your TV. And plug in power cord. The subwoofer is just a power cord. It has a pairing button but should just automatically connect. Enjoy

Ive owned this set up for quite a few months now. The sound quality is amazing for the cost. I was thinking about going with a system with a higher wattage but opted to go with a more economical one just to see what I thought about it. Honestly I don’t think I need any more sound. LG products have really impressed me across the board and the sound quality is equally impressive as a anything I’ve heard for the price.

So far so good. I have had this for almost a week now and to me it sounds amazing, sound just like a theatre. I bought this sound bar because my tv needed more volume. To be honest this is a really loud and powerful soundbar in my opinion. At volume 16 it's almost to loud for me and it goes all the way to 39 and then MAX level after 39; and at max I cant even hear myself scream its so loud. The sound bar is 49 inches long and it does have a display on it so that you can see what your doing. So far the woofer hasn't went in and out like other reviews say and the bass is loud and has a big thump even just on level 16 (on bass blast mode). So yes the house will shake with the woofer if that's what your looking for. To me it's a good balance of bass and sound; I have an Lg tv and used the optical cord to connect. You can pair your phone through bluetooth and play music and the woofer is wireless, you just have to plug it in and it will automatically connect to the soundbar. The soundbar modes : standard, dts virtual:x, bass blast, Ai sound pro... if that's important to you. Standard is good enough for me and all others sound good as well. 15 1/2 x 7 x 11 1/2 is the measurements of the woofer.

YOU MUST BUY THE sound bar when you're getting a new home theater. It is amazing and easy to use. the Beast Buy agent will show you how the remote works. Sturdy and is the best audio when watching sports, movies etc. Don't go cheap - you can't really do this and you know it. HIRE A PROFESSIONAL. The whole TV/SoundBar is bonded to my wall. So easy to get behind the TV on the occasion it needs a restart.

Sounds great! Easy set up. Love that it has the numbers to tell what setting sound is on because our Bose in the other room doesn’t do that. Also had a Great price and we saved $30 buying it in a Bundle with the TV!

I love these! This is my 2nd one I’ve purchased both through best buy. I love watching movies and especially listening to music via the connection from my phone. The price isn’t bad and I’ve had this model for 2 years and going strong; even after my kids spilled water in it!

I love the sound quality of the LG SLM6Y soundbar and its bluetooth capability. I had a little trouble getting it to automatically connect to the tv but once I figured out the settings, it auto connected and I could even use the tv remote to control the sound of the sound bar. The sound coupled with the new LG OLED TV provides an unbeatable combination. I can’t say enough good things about LG audio and video products! I would definitely recommend this to someone who is also looking for quality sound at a reasonable price.

Sound this good used to mean a whole day of tinkering setup frustrations. Now, with HDMI-CEC and ARC technologies, you can be up and running in minutes! This soundbar turns on and off along with my game console, television, and streaming box. With AI Sound Pro, my content always sounds it’s best. The default 3.1 configuration sounds so good, I may have to pickup the optional rear surround kit to make this a 5.1 system! Helpful tips to help you maximize your setup out of the box: Enable HDMI CEC on all connected devices (sometimes called Simplink or by other trade names, or more generically as HDMI control, this technology controls sleep/wake and auto-negotiates input, passes remote commands such as volume and mute, and is the secret sauce that lets it all work seamlessly!) Make sure your devices can output bitstream audio for highest quality, or at least PCM Connect the HDMI Out on this soundbar to the HDMI ARC port on your television (this allows for the best sound quality with this system, and allows all HDMI devices connected to your TV to use your TV as an audio selector switch) And that’s basically it! Plug in the sound bar to power, then the sub, and you’re ready to rock!!!

Excellent decision! The sound quality is so much better, especially hearing dialogue over background music, and it’s easy to use. Soundbar can be linked to the tv remote for ease of use. Love it!

Such a great sound. I replaced my 2.1 system with this 3.1 and added rear speakers for a complete 5.1 surround sound feel. By far the best purchase ever. Every movie and song sounds so perfect. Enjoy every bit of it. Cant say anything about dtx and dolby. But two modes does sound different. I like the dtx

Upgraded to this when I purchased a 65" LG TV this past year for our 20x30 sitting room. The sound is amazing and it was the easiest to set up. I have recommended this item to family and friends. I would definitely purchase it again.

Sound is great. Sleek nice design. Associate was very helpful in finding the sound bar I needed.

I recently added an LG tv to my den. I decided I wanted to sound bar to match. For me the issues are because it’s a smaller room. So I had to turn the sub woofer down a bit. And increase the center channel. Hooking up via HDMI (arc) was a breeze and the remote foe the tv controls it all. The quality of the build and sound is amazing. If I had a larger area this would still fit nicely. I used the Best Buy universal mount kit and mounted this sound bar right under the tv. It fit and works perfect It’s so good in fact , I am considering adding a LG tv to my living room as well.

First of all dont buy LG products. They will not last. I purchased a LG Tv and it last 3yrs. I purchased this sound bar unit and the sub lasted 2yrs. My bad because I didnt purchase a warranty also. Trying to get LG to respond to email about it. Maybe a repair or just to purchase a new sub but no luck yet. Buy Sony or Samsung. Ive never had a problem with those products.

I like the arc feature. We used to have to turn the sound bar on separately from the TV with our old unit, but this unit interfaces well with our TV. Only complaint is that the HDMI plug is on the bottom. However, if I wasn't using a 90 degree plug it might not bother me as much.

Best sound for best price hands down and the sub woofer makes it that much better!!!

This sound bar is awesome and easy to use and it also comes with the bracket if you want to mount it in the wall..I just love it!!!

Bought open box, no accessories. Had to order power cords and remote from amazon. Big sound small package, ARC compatible, couldn’t beat price mark down.

Awesome sound bar system. Was going to buy the one step below and was told to get this one and did not regret it. Would highly recommend getting it if you have an LG tv.
