They appreciate the excellent sound quality, simple setup, and reasonable price. However, customers are negative about the subwoofer, connectivity, durability, remote control, and warranty. They have experienced issues with the subwoofer cutting out, connectivity issues, the soundbar not lasting long, and problems with the remote control. Sounds good. Subwoofer is a little boomy but I haven't tried to figure out equalization or crossover options. Set it up using Digital audio out so I could use a splitter for another analog output but I can't use the tv remote to adjust the soundbar volume.

I’m giving this sound bar 4 stars, but it could be 3 or 5. I am using a Black Friday LG TV from 2 or 3 years ago and there are missing features. The most important being missing LG Connect from the TV. Therefore, wireless connectivity is not available, even though that was expected with two LG products. This is a TV issue. It would be nice to be able to check features for a sound bar based on the actual TV model. Without wireless, I was forced to use HDMI or Optical. In my first installation attempt, I was unable to connect the tv at all. This was due to not using the HDMI ARC port I believe, which I didn’t think was a baseline requirement if you did not have an external device. This was followed by reconnecting through the ARC port. At this point, the sound bar was super low volume, no louder than actual TV volume. I tried using a firestick and the actual smart tv app. I tried streaming services and Spotify. This had no impact. I was considering returning. Then I decide to try connecting the firestick directly to the sound bar. This created a major improvement in sound for the firestick and a stunning improvement on Spotify. Spotify with subwoofer sounded like a major set of dual standing speakers made for events. BOOMING. But streaming volumes remained better, but not home theater like. So at this point, it was clear the sound bar had the power, but there was some setting somewhere between sound bar, tv, and firestick that required a change. I found a firestick setting for volume leveling that provided more sound after turning this feature off. But the sound was still suppressed. It was now much louder than the tv speakers, but still orders of magnitude lower than the amazing, wake the neighbors, level of Spotify via Firestick or TV smart app. I wrote all of this because it makes it clear that there is a compatibility issue between tv, sound bar, firestick, and streaming apps. I’ve also modified some streaming app settings, but the issue still exists. All in all, the sound bar does the job. I’m not trying to wake the neighbors :). But the suppressed sound for action movies is a real disappointment. I also would like more sound effect / preset options (there are only three). And it should be clear wireless doesn’t automatically work every model tv, especially Black Friday specials. I can’t ding the sound bar more because it’s clear it can perform. However, I can’t rate 5 stars because I can’t be sure some of the early incompatibility issues were now due to firmware issues that were someone now corrected in my adjustments and reconnects. One plus that must be mentioned is that the firestick remote with HDMI-CEC turned on for the tv allows it to control the tv, firestick and sound bar! That’s a super plus. A final note, I tried the optical cable that came with the soundbar, and it had no effect. It was probably still lower. I also tried internal and optical sound. That helped a little, but I didn’t feel like taking the time to fully sync, so there was an echo and I eliminated this option.

Mostly I was happy with this product. The sound isn't the best in the world, but it's not a top end product in price either. I felt like it delivered what I expected. Good (not great) sound at a reasonable price. My one complaint was with the remotes and the settings. The settings are weirdly complicated, and when you use the remote to try to change them, it's far from obvious how to do certain things, like turn on Surround Sound (you have to hold down some buttons to get to certain settings). The settings UI could be way more intuitive.

Adds crisp high and deep lows to your watching experience. Bluetooth capable so you can pair your device to blast music while you work or make dinner. I also considered other brand sound bars but the more postive reviews and the option to buy add on rear wireless speaker sold me on this sound bar. I did catch it on sale right after the Holidays. I was leaning to buy a TCL sound bar to match my TCL tv so it would work wirelessly but deicided on the LG do to better reviews. The only negtive is I need one more remote and my TCL roku remote volume control doesnt work. The volume up turns it down and volume down does nothing. Haven't found a fix yet but Oh well. The sound bars quailty and optional rear speaker upgrade makes up for this small inconvenience.

I purchased this unit during a $50 off sale and couldn't be happier with the purchase. Once attached to our LG 4K Smart TV with HDMI ARC it totally simplified my setup. I had an old analog Bose Acoustimass - one controller, the TV - another controller - and a ROKU - third controller. Now I have one controller which we use predominantly for most of our TV time, the ROKU controller which can turn the TV and SoundBar on or off and control the SoundBar volume. We put the TV controller in a drawer and only bring it out to change settings, which is rare. The sound quality is excellent. We like to watch concerts with high fidelity sound - Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Rush, etc. and this is plenty loud enough for us. And we do turn it up. Way up. There are different sound "settings" on this, including the ability to turn "surround" on all the time so no matter what the input source, it still uses the center speaker. We have not had to change any of the EQ settings on it either. It just sounds great, right out of the box. I can't tell you what a MASSIVE difference 3.1 makes as opposed to 2.1. The old Bose had a subwoofer and two stereo speakers. And while it was excellent for concerts (it's wicked loud) it fell very short when it came to dialog, especially low key talking softly or whispering. This soundbar provides a totally different experience, and we find ourselves "squinting to hear what they're saying" far less often than with the Bose. I would recommend this sound bar as an excellent choice to pair to any smart TV with HDMI ARC or Optical connection.

Got this on a Black Friday special so good price. I bought it to pair with my new 65 OLED LG. The sound on the TV was okay but this really upped the volume. Easy peasy setting up with the TV--basically plug and play. Also it synced with cable remote.

I loved this sound bar and subwoofer and the sound was awesome. 13 months after purchasing, the subwoofer stopped working, I contacted Best But to possibly repair or replace the subwoofer and was informed that LG doesn’t have a replacement subwoofer, I would have to repurchase the entire product. Other brands allow you to replace just the subwoofer, very disappointing!!! Wish it has died one month earlier while under factory warranty. Also, the sound bar sat on my mantle and the subwoofer next to a cabinet. Never moved or bumped either item, they were very well cared for.

The sound on this sound bar is perfect. Easy to use and just a great job lg. My only complaint is that every now and then it switches from connection arc to something else, it switches to opt so then I gotta grab the controller and switch it back to arc. Kind of crappy when I wanna start watching tv right away because now I gotta look for the controller lol. If it didn’t do that it would be 5 stars.

I bought this to go along with a new 65 inch LG nano 8 TV. Coming from a older Sony 2.1 to this 3.1 is night and day difference. 3.1 is absolutely amazing with its center channel for dialog. Bass is not as good as expected but that’s ok with me. I absolutely love how I can control this with my LG TV’s remote as well. My old Sony couldn’t do that and it was always a pain to have to keep switching between remotes all the time.

I'm very pleased with this soundbar and subwoofer. The DTS Virtual X: setting offers an amazing sound - not quite like being in a theatre but enough to satisfy. It is newer technology for me so figuring out the adjustments is a little frustrating at times. However the AO(?) setting is pretty good so all I have to do is control the volume. The subwoofer is powerful. When I first got it I set the bass up so high that the pictures on our living room wall vibrated. I am hearing impaired and so do have some issues with understanding the dialog. I think this would work better with an LG tv, but the one we have it hooked up to performs nicely. There are just as many adjustments available. It would be great if I could hook up a couple of speakers to it for surround sound but the kit to do so is really weird and I think ugly looking.

It's a quality soundbar. Sound is full, especially in a larger room, and the sub offers nice bass for the price point. It still has the issue where every once in a while the subwoofer loses connectivity momentarily while it tries to repair with the bar. Doesn't last long, but can be annoying if you're immersed in a movie with good sound.

I bought this soundbar a little over two years ago, so I can give some information on its reliability as well as quality. It is used in a medium-sized room and does a great job, especially when compared to the lousy speakers that come with standard big screen LED TV's. A feature I really like is that the subwoofer is wireless, which allows me to put it in an unused space that isn't visible since subwoofer placement isn't very important to sound quality. It also has several inputs: HDMI, Optical Digital Audio, USB. More importantly it has HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC), which minimizes cables and makes setup easier. The on/off and volume functions on the supplied remote are taken care of by my TV remote, so I didn't have to have yet another remote to deal with. Sound quality is a 7 out of 10, which is what I would expect for a system of this size and price. If you are looking for amazing sound to impress your friends, you will need an AV receiver and speaker system. I bought this soundbar to avoid having to setup a complicated and expensive system. I wanted good sound to watch TV, and that's just what I got. Over the two years it has seen daily use and has worked flawlessly. The wireless subwoofer has never failed to connect. It integrates completely into my simple system so much so that I don't even have to think about it. It's like it was designed for my TV

I got this to go with my 65" OLED LG that I had bought and I am really satisfied with the sound it puts out. It can be a little frustrating to initially set up, but once you get it set, it just does the rest. Compared to my last major brand soundbar, I would pick this one hands down

Ok so I’ve only had this for 10 days to the date but will say I’ve played with it and messed with it went through all the sound options and have customized my EQ settings aswell and found what suits me for my use of it. So first off I bought this just to have some more bass in the low end for movies as the tv speakers while very decent lacked in the low end. If you have an LG TV this is an even better buy as the connectivity is seamless no need for 2,3,4 remotes to control everything automatically pairs to the tv when function is set to LGTV and when volume is turned up or down with the TVs remote or a paired cable remote controls the volume of the soundbar and the volume bar will still show up on the tv so there’s no need to look away to the soundbar to see the volume (while not being a dire function I thought that it was a pretty intuitive feature nonetheless) so on to the sound. I thought that it wouldn’t have been much different from the tv speakers other than some more bass but I sure was wrong crisper louder and the bass packed a little punch for being right out of the box but still wasn’t to my liking so I went to the EQ and maxed the bass and it did much better IMO watched a movie and the highs and lows and the voice was very crisp and clear at low and high volume later on I paired my phone and played some pandora and switched functions to bass boost blast or whatever it’s called while also still having the EQ bass maxed and cranked it to 40 and I was not disappointed no matter where I went in my house I could hear it clearly and while the bass wasn’t “shaking the rafters” low it was very decent for what I paid for it. Now I will say if your looking for something that is just a bass monster this is not for you your looking more towards that Bose $1200 dollar soundbar. All in all I am impressed with it and do not regret buying it I’ve actually ordered the add on rear speakers for it it’s a good bang for the buck in my book with the features displayed but also has some little tasteful features that aren’t mentioned like I said the automatic paring in LGTV function but also when you turn your tv on or off while it’s paired to said tv it will also turn off and on without the need to use the soundbar remote separately of you’re in the fence about buying this I’d say go for it it won’t disappoint you for the price point

I was replacing a 7 year old, $1,500 Sony soundbar because it could no longer support most of the higher end formats. I decided to give this one a try because I had just purchased an LG TV and the reviews were quite good. I didn't expect the sound quality to exceed my previous high-end Sony, but it did! The DTS Virtual X surround simulation is very good and the overall sound quality is beyond what I had expected for the price point. One note is that even though the instructions aren't clear on many things, you can adjust base, treble, individual speaker volume and woofer volume through the remote via an unlabeled button. I am very pleases with this LG soundbar and would recommend it to anyone looking for a soundbar with good build quality and great sound, at a reasonable price.

When it worked it worked great. I love the sound quality and bass. Im not very in depth or know too much about sound quality. But if it sounds good when needed then I think its good and firing on all cylinders. The issue with this sound bar was frequent issues with it connecting to the wireless subwoofer. Also the soundbar wouldnt match with the volume. I would have it at a 20 or so and itd be moderately loud. After turning it off and back on the volume would be ridiculously loud. For the price you think itd have minimal issues. I wanted it to work very badly.
