However, for a reasonably priced 3 channel bar with a subwoofer, this is a fantastic upgrade over built in TV speakers. AND there is an additional kit to upgrade this with 2 rear surround speakers for a 5.1 surround experience!

They gave me a number for a lg technician and said I have to pay for the repair myself.

Posted .Unless you purchased an extended warranty when you purchased your audio system, you are responsible for any repairs when you are outside the 1 year manufacturer’s warranty period. ^Jennifer

The sound quality is excellent. Its center speaker volume control let’s us hear dialogue quite clearly, not drowned by the music (as usual). And it looks good when attached to the TV, better than the previous Soundbar we had.

BUT...it doesn’t sound that great. I had an older and much cheaper LG sound bar that sounded better. Listening to music or action movies through is not that impressive. For the size the subwoofer it is disappointing. Not sure what to do. The next step up is a significant price difference.

Initially purchased a 2.1 channel Samsung but returned it as the dialogue through the speakers was hard to hear. The extra center channel speaker on the 3.1 LG makes a world of difference for another $100.

Having the third speaker in the middle of the bar really helps with dialogue isolation and clarity. Slightly on the base side of sound which can be balanced out a bit using the TV speakers in conjunction with the soundbar.

Like most new TVs I thought I would need a sound bar but when I hooked everything up I could have done with out it. It’s not a bad product it’s great & I did keep it & am using it but the TVs volume is good enough on its own which says a lot about the LG tv.

A little past the year mark for the warranty it the subwoofer no longer connects to the sound bar, leaving the sound very flat. I’ve read through LG’s recommendations as well as several other online sources to try to fix the connection, but no luck, yet. So, I’m going to replace the pair of these with a Sonos sound bar.

I highly recommend 3.1 channels over 2.1 channel. Easy to set, and the remote is clear and easy to use. You can even adjust the sound level of the center channel separately from the front and sub-woofer.

Comes on and shuts off automatically with the tv. Had to use hdmi cable to connect with my lg nano cell 90 series tv but also comes with optical cable. Great bass sound with out overpowering the sound from the subwoofer
