The lower unit great for large items and still does not cause over heating in kitchen.

Just opening the door should do this. But no, you added an extra step. I will kill the sound but that defeats the purpose of having a beep when the microwave is done. I like the looks and bought this to go with a new LG refrigerator, stove top and dishwasher so they were matching. I have not used the oven yet but if that functions like I expect I will leave the rating the same as the beeping/having to clear the microwave after every use is just annoying.

It would be nice if the digital display could be made brighter. It's fairly dim. Slide out rack is very nice and sturdy. Nice oven for the price.
