Defective product but looked great

Spent nearly two full days trying to work with Best Buy to get resolution - as recipient of our gift had no cooktop (already pulled out), has three young children, and house had smell of gas. Had to be a new replacement unit that cost several hundred dollars more.

accurate flame, easy install

Controls work evenly as do all the flames burning blue with no yellow tips. Unit itself is very light when you don't figure in the weight of the grates. I was hoping for a little heavier quality on the stainless steel. It's not your typical shiny LG Stainless if you are looking to match other LG appliances in the kitchen, this is similar to a brushed stainless. There is no back-lighting on the knobs. Installation was very easy and the measurements to drop in where dead on. Superboil burner delivers as promised, works quickly. I like the angled raised knobs on this as opposed to the typical knobs which lay flat on the surface. Overall, i reccommend for the avid cook.

Nice cooktop

We really like how it performs, especially the big burner. The top grates are solid and impressive. If the steel was of a better gauge I would've rated with 5 stars. Overall, very nice.

My only issue is that the available specifications for the cutout are inaccurate. They matched exactly the cutout specs for the old cooktop so we did not plan for any issues. On arrival, the installer said the specs were wrong because they failed to take some "lugs" into account, and the existing hole was 1/4 inch too small in both dimensions. I was in a bind and he offered to cut the hole larger by 1/8 inch on each side, for $225. We agreed to it and the rest of the install went smoothly. So the only issue is with the specifications. The install was good, and the product is excellent. This was our experience.

FAULTY KNOBS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cook Top is perfect but the knobs all have broken on more than one occassion and I have had to replace them at 50.00 a piece which is ridiculous when this is clearly a malfunction of the unit and LG should provide replacement knobs
