Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in 2014 from Best Buy only to find out by one of the several reparirman who have come out that the fridge was actually a 2012 model..... In just a year here is what has happened...the icemaker malfunctioned and flooded my kitchen, the refrigerator has frozen food in the top section and thawed out and refreezed my food in the freezer section. LG Repair experts have come out and performed major repairs 3 times in my first year. Surprising in spite of their advertised excellent customer satisfaction they have refused to declare it a lemon and exchange it for a good new one. this refrigerator has cost me a damaged new kitchen floor and thousands in spoiled food. Unbelievable!

We have had LG come to try to fix cooling issues, Geek Squad multiple times, parts replaced, sensors, motherboards and still issues with cooling. Fridge likes to turn off the fans and let the temp get to mid-50s. Not good. Never buy another LG fridge again.

So much room and the added compartments are very helpful. I saw reviews about the ice machine not keeping up.. We have run into that problem, but it's after several glasses of ice are being used. I can fill up 4 water bottles with ice and still have enough for a drink or two. If it's expected to keep up for a party, than you may want to grab a bag of ice from the store!
I would recommend this to a friend DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!

First the cooling fan was unable to spin because some tubing had to be relocated in the back panel (March 2016), then the ice maker stopped working and had to be repaired (May 2016) . It is still not working correctly. Next we returned from vacation to a refrigerator full of rotten food due to a broken compressor !! The smell still lingers inside the refrigerator and is terrible. All in 6 months!! LG refuses to consider this a lemon and replace it as long as it can be repaired. I would never recommend this model to anyone. Best Buy please stop carrying this model! I wish I would have read reviews prior to purchasing the model.
