After about six or seven months, it progressively needs more and more time to dry. Then I call geek squad, fortunately I purchased a plan with it. The technician comes and tries to explain that it takes a long time to drive with these ductless dryers. I tell them yes I understand that but it shouldn’t take eight hours to dry two towels. One of my nieces had told me to stay away from LG appliances. They’re always needing repairs. So far the washing machine that comes with this has not broken. But I do have another LG unit that needed a repair. This time I’m going to ask for an exchange for a different machine. I would say it’s a lemon.
Hi, Bethann. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your concern about the LG Dryer (DLHC1455W) model, especially after it’s been taking significantly longer to dry clothes. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations. While ductless dryers can sometimes take longer, eight hours for two towels is excessive, and we want to get this issue resolved for you. It could be a potential issue with airflow or an internal sensor, and we recommend checking the lint filter and venting system to make sure they’re clear and functioning properly, as blockages can sometimes cause extended drying times. Since you've purchased a service plan, we recommend working with the Geek Squad to ensure the unit gets the necessary repairs or consider discussing an exchange if this issue continues to persist.

Getting the settings put in for drying is kind of complicated, but that means you have MANY OPTIONS. And the way the machine adjusts the load before starting the drying cycle is fun but time consuming. The ventless feature is fantastic.
Best Dryer I've ever used.

DO NOT BUY! I never write these reviews but due to the horrible last 11 months, I will make an exception for this dryer. If I could give this dryer a 0, or even negative I would. It has NEVER worked. We purchased it from Best Buy, spent months and months asking LG to repair it. Hanging every load to dry after hours of it running. They kept coming out, running their tests, said everything is fine....I said you can see the clothes hanging, it runs for hours with only two towels or one shirt and it never fully dries. They said they can see that, but since all their equipment says it's working, there is nothing they can do, they have to label it as "working" and leave. We ended up having to spend $500 more dollars to buy a different dryer, with no reimbursement from LG. If you need a small one, get the Samsung vented dryer that is the same size, it is so much better and I don't have to deal with LG anymore! DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER!

Hands down this is the best washer/dryer combo for smaller spaces. The smart features are extremely helpful and the performance is top notch. Buying the washer and dryer as a combo set is a must since they link together to recommend settings.

the LG stackable electric dryer with dual inverter heat pump is the newest and fastest electric dryer out there. the fact that it is ventless makes it easy to put anywhere in your house. with the 10 year guaranteed for the pump, this is a great buy.

This was the only available dryer of this size when we purchased it during the pandemic and we understood that this heat pump technology would take longer to dry than a vented dryer, but it is much longer than we were expecting. We have it in a vacation rental property and have received negative reviews because of it even though we have signage explaining the issue. It can take 3-4 hours to dry 3 beach towels. If drying time is not important, it does have nice features and the Wifi connectivity is great.
We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with the drying time of the LG Smart Electric Dryer. The heat pump technology is designed for energy efficiency but may result in longer drying cycles. We recommend ensuring the lint filter and condenser unit are clean to optimize performance. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please reach out to our social media team at @LGUSSupport. Your satisfaction is essential to us, and we want to ensure you have a positive experience with our products. Thank you for your understanding and support. ^Sam

I’ve had this washer and dryer set for two months now, and they dryer is a HUGE improvement over my last electric one, which was a different (well-known) brand and 4-5 years old. My last one took 3-5 hours to dry a small load, this one takes an hour and a half or less. Also, my last dryer would shut off before the clothes were dry, so I had to restart it at least twice. This one has not done that to me once! I am very happy with my purchase, I only regret not doing it sooner.

My washer is quiet, and fits perfectly in a closet with the dryer on top.
The representatives that removed the old washer and dryer were rockstars! They put the new washer and drying together quickly, and were very punctual! 5 stars!
Skeptical about being ventless, and now a believet

Does a much better job of drying than 3 previous vented dryers. Only minus is the softener dispenser holds water and would start to have an odor if sitting for a long period

We needed a compact dryer (space requirement), and this item exceeded our expectations. Only downside is limited capacity and drying time, but for us that doesn't matter.

The washer and dryer are great but delivery and setup scheduling were a nightmare. Owner must be present the whole time. This went to a vacation house so that was very inconvenient.

This is such a nice dryer. It was super easy to install and the controls are super simple to understand. I have not setup the Bluetooth yet, but plan on it soon. It also tells you exactly how much longer you have til the load is done which is nice. I was confused because we couldn’t figure put where to put the dryer vent, but it’s ventless. There is a compartment that sucks out water that you must dump after each load. I feel like the clothes actually dry nicer with this dryer rather than our old one.

A little costy but worth it. Some people mentioned that it takes a little too long to dry, which is true for most cycles but heated dry and delicate mode are my go-to if you want the best results in under an hour.
