We were a bit concerned as nobody seemed familiar with this model and there were some concerns in the reviews. It was a perfect fit for where we needed so decided to give it a shot anyways. For only two of us, it works perfectly. We saw concerns about clothes not completely dry and were ready to hang them if needed to let them finish, but we havne't had to yet. We followed the instructions and sorted loads and did not overfill, no problems at all. A 'normal' load may take 3-3.5 hours to complete, makes it easy to throw in then go to work. If you need to do multiple loads a day, maybe it's not for you though.
We got the installation and pedestal also as it's pretty heavy. Be careful as Best Buy's system will automatically add a vent, the salesman took it off, it appears as though the system put it back, so we had to have it removed again. Our installers were also not familiar with it but there is nothing to it, attach hot/cold water, attach drain and plug in to a regular 110 outlet. That means you also will not need to add a new dryer cord or outlet.
Overall no complaints at all and would highly recommend, especially for a small household.

I truly wanted this combo washer/dryer to be great. I wanted to love it given how much space it saved us.
Having owned this washer/dryer combo for almost a year...and it is not worth the cost. For almost $2k, you can find a stackable unit that has way more worth.
For pros:
It is compact and with 120V, can be put almost anywhere. As a washing machine, it does a great job. That is it.
For cons:
Within a year (today being 2/8 and the machine was delivered and installed 2/11 of 2019) we are having drainage issues, clogging, and 3 different types of error codes. Currently in the process of having GS come look at the machine.
In addition to that, drying takes literally a WHOLE DAY. I kid you not, ALL DAY. I would start a load in the morning and would be lucky if my clothes were dry by late in the evening. Air drying my damp clothes would take the same if not less time than the dryer.
For the amount of space you have in the machine, to effectively dry, you can only max fill it 1/2 way. Aside from that, clothes come out wrinkly beyond belief. As if they have been scrunched up in a bag for the last week.
It is a decent machine for someone who does laundry frequently and is alone.
For the amount paid for this combo, it is an over-glorified washing machine and nothing more. You can find something much better for this cost and unfortunately, I am currently looking for a stackable unit to replace this.

Great option for places without W/D hookups

We purchased this unit the first week of March in order to get ahead of the now worldwide pandemic. We did not want to continue to use communal laundry in our apartment community due to the implicit risks in doing so. We did not have access to special power outlets or washer and dryer hookups in order to install a conventional washer and dryer in our apartment, nor did we have the space for two large units. This product checked all of our boxes in terms of standard 120v power adapter, ventless drying, and a relatively small footprint compared to multiple machines. It does take longer than a traditional dryer to complete a dry cycle, however given the limitations of our setup, this is more than acceptable.
Tips:
1) Do NOT take the large capacity of the drum for granted if you want to dry items in a reasonable amount of time. Generally speaking we try to load the drum to approximately 40-50% capacity at maximum. This enable a full wash and dry cycle to be completed in about 2.5-3 hours. If you overload it, it will take 8-12+ hours to complete a cycle. You can do many more smaller loads of laundry in less time than one big one, with overall vastly more clothes being washed in the small batches.
2) Do not extend the drain hose beyond the attached, built in hose's length. This will further increase your drying time. If you have to, use gravity by extending the hose but ensuring that the maximum height of the hose at any point is somewhere along the original hose.
3) You can attach this to a standard faucet with a standard W/D line fed into a Y splitter hose designed for this specific purpose. The adapter to attach this to your faucet is relatively cheap and readily available, it uses the thread of a standard garden hose.

I give this a four star because it does what it's supposed to do and works like a charm the way as intended. However, I would rather have the old style, separate, washer and dryer than this machine. I miss laundry taking 1 hour and I do not mind switching from wash to dry. I would trade this machine for a regular w/d combo. Yes, this machine is fancy with no-vent drying and pretty noises, but it's not quick and efficient. It's slow and efficient. People may like the "set it and forget it" but I prefer the "quick and done".

Washes good, the drying takes hours, you have to wipe the lint off with a wipe after every use but it’s small and does a good job

LG makes a great product! It’s simple to use and quiet! Love the washer. The drying has a bit to be desired. Thought I could avoid installing a dryer vent in my Townhouse but it’s unavoidable. I can’t live with this machine for 11 + years. Takes 3 hours from start to finish, with only one load working. I didn’t get the kickstand but would recommend it if you do purchase this unit.

My wife and I were looking for a efficient washer and dryer for a small apartment. We decided with the LG brand since we had positive experience on our previous washer and dryer units. This one is great for small to medium loads because of the steam dry feature. We are not turned off by the unique way of drying clothes, as I have a lot of dress shirts and dress pants that I use on a daily basis. The clothes have come out very damp at first when we started with the unit, now we figured how much is to much. Hook up was easy. We decided to connect to our kitchen sink. We spent about $20 for couplings and additional hoses. It has a powerful motor, having it in a pantry room right is great, cause now the walk in pantry is our laundry room, and the noise is low. This sure beats laundry with neighbors unless that's your thing.

I live in a smaller condo. Had a stacked washer dryer. This one takes up less space and I just load it once. Does take a little longer to run a load, but not a big deal. I like putting in dirty laundry and it comes out dry.

We live in a home without washer/dryer connections and this combo is perfect for us. In my opinion, it is gentler on the clothes and gets them cleaner. I haven't had it very long. But so far so good! :)

Love this washer dryer and how convenient it is to use. It’s easy to setup and it’s very handy when you’re not home all the time to deal with moving from washer to dryer. Only downside is it leaves a lot of fluff inside the drum and it’s not too easy to clean out.

Awesome machine for anyone with a space issue, a disability where bending and changing loads from one machine to another is painful, or you just forget to change the loads and find them wet days later. You put dirty clothes in set wash and dry cycles, add your detergent, push start. Forget about it. When done everything is clean and dry. If only it folded and hung them to. George Jetson must be on the horizon.

I purchased this item because I was unable to buy a dryer since it required 240 Voltage, and I would need to rewire my apartment. This was actually convenient because it has both a washer and dryer. One down side is that the drying process takes a longer time than usual, but since your doing it at home it shouldn't make a big difference.

I bought this a month ago and was a little leery about reading some negative reviews. But because I was short on space I went ahead and bought it anyway. It was so easy to learn how to use it though I use alot of the same settings repeatedly but have alot of options for specialty loads. It does produce some humidity during the lengthy drying cycle so we added a ceiling intake fan which took care of the problem. Machine is VERY quiet and every load so far has come out unwrinkled and clean. I do wipe down around the rubber seal like others suggested due to it being ventless, but other than that it doesn't require extra care. Definitely recommend if you want to get down to one appliance!

There was lots of critical reviews for the washer-dryer combos, but I took a chance on this one because of the size (every other combo out there is about 2 cubic feet, this one is over 4 cu). I love it! Washes efficiently and effectively, gentle on clothes and being able to leave a load to wash and come home to it dried is great! My only complaints are that drying alone (with out a wash) can take a little longer, and because it has rubber seals for the washing feature, there is a rubber smell when drying. It's not too bad, but I'm hoping that will go away with time. I would recommend this for anyone in a small space, and advise you to read the instructions fully as it's more complicated that a stand alone washer or dryer. But I'm happy!

I’ve had it for three years and I absolutely love this washer and dryer. I love it does not take up much space. The clothes do take about 3 hrs to wash and dry for a heavy load of clothes. Just make sure your not in a rush.

I hooked it up to the sink with a special adapter that allows me to still use my sink faucet at the same time! Great product, super silence. Clothes do take a little longer to dry. Electric bill hasn’t come out yet but so far so good.

Machine fits tight spaces where you cannot place two separate machines AND no gas line access. But it is slower and you cannot really use it for larger loads. It’s useful in the right place. Pricey for what it does. Uses electricity do running cost is higher.

For a small place and a small family, this thing is fantastic! Only problem I’ve come across is the inability to change setting/time when you set it to dry only. They should have had it so that you could check on your dry clothes whenever you want it to save on electricity instead it basically forces you to let run for 3- hours of drying every single time you stop it (which is a manual stop) and engage it to continue to dry. You can, however, before you set it to dry only, set a time rate by using the dry selection before you start it again. But really, LG??? Just allow the user to stop it whenever you want to check if the clothe is dry and allow to continue if it’s not. Big huge flaw there for sure.

I hate going to the laundromat. Like, LOATHE!!!
This beautiful machine is so perfect! It cleans and refreshes VERY well. Many settings to play around with. And, if you're in an apartment, the best thing EVER is that you don't need a vent, and it plugs into a standard power outlet. It's electric, so, obviously, you don't need a gas line. The dryer is not as slow as some people think, either! It depends on the size of the load. I can wash large quilts (You know! The ones my friends with houses have to go to the laundromat to wash), and even it never takes longer than 2.5 hours. It is so worth every little red cent!
So, get it! Thank me later!

I was skeptical about buying a two in one machine, but our laundry room is incredibly small and this was the largest model available.
The price was about the same as buying a washer and dryer. It’s a lot of maintenance to keep clean, but honestly it’s a game changer. I love putting my clothes in at night and waking up to dry clean clothes. I don’t think I could ever go back to a regular washer again!
ALSO: the steam dry keeps hoodies and super soft blankets super soft. Traditional dryers always ruin my micro soft blankets and I used to go through a whole ordeal to dry them. But this washer keeps them prestige!
