I cant say enough good things about this. I love the darker color and wouldn't love the lighter one. This is the most amazing washer, It works great, looks great, easy to use, love love love it. I was told that the negative was that it didn't dry enough or well enough and that it smelled bad. I put those dryer sheets in it and left the door open so that it dried so those issues are gone, This is beautiful and wonderful. I got the pedestal and love that. I dont think I would be happy without it, but then i have back issue and bending is not good. I only wish I had been smarter and got it years ago., Best thing since sliced bread. Quiet, no shaking, absolutely the dream. Just leave the door open after using it and it dries so no problem there.

Purchase online was easy, as was scheduling the delivery (which could have even happened over a holiday weekend!).
The installation went smoothly, and the installers professional - and not a single complaint about the flights of stairs up to our front door and then up to the second floor of our older home.
They even removed our broken washer in the same fashion (well worth the $25 fee).
So far we are VERY pleased with the new LG machine:
It's quiet.
The features are easy to understand and all work well.
Especially nice to see how long each load is going to take - no more guesswork.

Great washer that cleans well. Can take large load. Pretty quiet. Only reason I took one star out was the washing time -- sometimes it takes a long time to wash particularly with heavy soil option.

I looked into lot of front load/top load washing machines before deciding to purchase this washer.
Our LG front load died after 11 years and I was sure I wanted a top load this time, but after doing lot of research decided to purchase this LG front load washer. So far, I am very happy with the washer especially I can put huge capacity and still the clothes come out so clean and almost dry.

I had to replace my 10 year old Kenmore washer (which I loved). Apparently technology has come a long way in 10 years. I love all the features. It's easy to use, not too fancy so that I can't understand it. It's larger than my old one with a bigger opening. I had a problem with black mold in my front load Kenmore and this one seems to handle that much better too. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

While shopping for washer, ive always been hooked on the agitator..the Best Buy tech. Introduced me to a new way of washing and i am sooo in love with this washer. Some washers fade your clothes, never had a problem with this washer. I have loaded about 5 loads in one and everything came out fresh and clean as if i washed one load. Just Awesome. I would highly recommend. I also recommend the pedestals as well, come in handy for storage and also height.

My LG started making a strange noise and would not count down past 9 minutes. As we have had it several years and gotten great use out of it we decided to purchase a new machine rather than go with trying to fix it. We purchased a similar model to the old machine and I am pleasantly surprised. It is quieter by far than the old machine ever was. The quick wash, which I use a lot, is even faster and I think cleans my clothes better than the previous machine also.

This is my third or fourth HE front loader washing machine and so far it's the best. Huge capacity, quiet, very steady on the spin cycle (my last one waltzed all around the room on the spin cycle) and I love the steam feature. There's an "add water" feature which I use a lot, because otherwise the clothes don't seem to get really wet. I'm told this is normal and they're still getting cleaned, but I guess I just like to see the water swishing around. Excellent machine.

Really like the machine, it's very quiet while running , has lots of settings, and cleans quite well. At first the machine caused a loud vibrating bang of our pipes when shutting water flow off. Had to call service it was so obnoxious throughout the house (and machine is in basement). Service suggested we install like a shock absorber onto our valve. After adjusting our valve pressure we are now ok without adding the extra part.
Next complaint is the water that remains in the liquid bleach dispense after every load of clothes. I had resorted to just absorbing it out before my white loads, but included that with the service call. He went through some cycles, leveled it, but ultimately said I would have to just keep sopping it out before each load of whites. HUH??? THAT'S CRAZY. Clearly not a machine for anyone doing lots of white loads.
My final complaint is that the LG set is not compatible with IOS or iphone for use of it's scanning capability to download other pre-set cycles. That is totally surprising given the high tech company that LG is.
I can live with these issues, and ultimately I like the machine, just surprised by these glitches and the service rep tiptoeing around the fact that these are indeed glitches of the unit.

I purchased this washing machine as I was moving into a new house. My previous washer had been top loading, so a front loading design was new to me. I have been very happy with it as it is quiet, gets my cloths clean, and uses much less water than the previous model I have owned. It has more features than I use, but it is very easy to select the cycle that I want without worrying about all of the other controls.

my old washer died, argh!.. i have to buy a new one... i spent a good 2 weeks reading reviews online.... even went to a local Best Buy store.... they showed me several top loading washers... then we came to this beauty... at first ... i was slightly put off by the idea of a front-loading washer... i wanted my old washer back with agitator.. i spent some time online reading stories about how clothes got twisted and tied up, how a front loading washer was actually better. so i said to myself.. .take a chance.. boy i'm glad i did.. i loaded my first load following all instructions and bam clothes came out practically dry after the final spin cycle. if you read other peoples reviews you'll probably read how it makes too much noise.. mine? .. i barely hear it... then again i don't overload it... maybe that's their problem?... you might read how there are always suds or maybe the washer doesn't drain... well.. don't add a tub of detergent...1 laundry pod is all you need ... oh and i love the extra water feature.. if it feels like you don't have enough water in there sometimes... looks can be deceiving just press the "add water" feature.. and it gives you a little extra.. i'm sure those saying that it doesn't drain probably fully load the washer with enough water to fill a small pool... people think that more is better with this washer and it simply isn't the case... I had gone to a friends wedding and got some kind of black residue on my pants....i ran to the bathroom to try and wipe it off... no luck... I washed my pants the next day and stain was gone.. after i finish laundry.. i wipe it down.. and leave the door open so that it can air dry... i've had this for a little over a month now.. and i have yet to experience the issues everyone else has... my guess is that their issues are a result of not following instructions on use, overloading the washer with clothes, soap and water.. i would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet efficient washer..

Best Buy keeps pestering me to leave a review, so here it is. After much research and comparison, we settled on purchasing this washer. One of the major selling points was the assurance that the spin cycle is so high, laundry comes out nearly dry and cuts down on drying time, saving money.
Right away, that was not our experience. On the Cotton/Normal setting, clothing was not only not nearly dry. It was sopping wet towards the back of the drum, and there was visible water sitting in the back of the drum. This did not occur when washing towels on the Towels setting.
So we contacted customer support, and they sent out a service person. He was here maybe five minutes, ran some diagnostics, didn't get any error codes and declared it was an installation error because the drain hose was too high above the machine. He advised that the pipe needed to be one foot lower because the machine didn't have enough power to push the water that high.
Fine. The pipe could not be cut, so we purchased a pedestal for the washer, which lifted it fourteen inches closer to the pipe. Clothing on Cotton/Normal still coming out as wet if not wetter than our old top loader. Towels still coming out dryer. If there's an installation problem causing the machine to not drain properly, why are the towels spinning out properly? Customer service advises that since the service person said it was an installation error, if he comes out again, we will have to pay for the service call.
So now we have a machine that doesn't do what was promised, on a pedestal we didn't need or want. It washes things well and uses less water and detergent. That's something. But we're now running the dryer MORE, not less. So no, I don't think I could recommend this machine.

Replaced an older front load washer, this is quieter and more efficient while offering more features. Spin load balancing is great overall, depending on your load it is sometimes amazing how little noise and vibration there is. This does have a manual filter/drain you'll need to clean occasionally. Not a big task and may save you a service call if you take care of it. Overall very satisfied so far.

Best investment for washing clothes; We haven't upgraded the washer for ten years, so choosing the right one was important. After careful research and consideration, we decided to settle on the LG washer. And no lie -- it has been amazing. Saves a lot of money --low energy, low water usage and has many features competitors don't offer. I am happy we settled with the LG washer.
