My 11 year old LG front loader finally started failing after pets/kids/moving. It was fantastic. This top loader didn't wow me on the website but I promptly changed my tune seeing it in the store. Getting my hands on it made a big difference. Here are the Pros of the buy: Best Buy staff was awesome. They are my first stop for major appliances, which has not failed me yet. Free delivery, was delivered on time/schedule. Direct Drive motor (11 years on the last LG, motor kept going too). Very high RPM's. Anti vibration features all over the place. I didn't need to level it, but did check it per instructions. Reaching in versus bending over for a front loader is a welcome change. Reaching in makes you inadvertently fluff the laundry which helps it dry faster. Yeah, I'm getting older and less flexible (not paying hundreds for a front loader base either). The controls are simple to use and the manual does a nice job of explaining things. It is plainly written and easy to understand. The brains have a Smart Diagnose feature that goes online. You can even download cycle details if you want to get fancy. An online laundry washer, crazy. The capacity is freaking awesome! This saves on the number of loads, which saves soap, water, and energy. And the clothes are getting cleaner than ever versus in the old front loader. It's amazing how things like that go unnoticed over time. The capacity leads to the only con. My old dryer is pretty maxed out when I use the washer to full potential. It get everything dry but I see a new dryer in my future next year. You guessed it, Best Buy and LG. It's been a month or so and this new LG washer has cut my laundry time in half, clothes get cleaner, and I expect to get 10 years of use out of it (tip: use Borax in every load, good for the fabric and hard water, it's magic). I wanted a great top loader washer and this is the vastly surpassing my expectations. Yes, it's made laundry fun (we watched the first load for a full 20 minutes, kinda nuts).

This LG washer has been the best ever. I previously own a Whirlpool washer and thought nothing could beat it. I was absolutely wrong this washer is the total package. It cleans our clothes really well and is quiet. The features on it are easy to understand and love the load capacity by far I am very satisfied with our purchase. I'm an LG consumer for life. I would highly recommend this washer to anyone. If in doubt about purchasing one I guarantee you will be glad you brought this model.

Easy to use, lots of space. Washes well. Only complaint is the tub is so deep I can barely reach in.

Ok, so maybe fun is a bit much, but we actually enjoy using this machine! The large tub allows all of the bedding to be washed at once. It runs quietly. The programmable feature is easy to setup and use. Even my guests can use it by just showing them the on button, and the run program button. The digital count-down is useful. It does a great job on washing too. The window is not really needed, but interesting to watch!

Top loading machine goes through calculations to gauge load size, adds sufficient water, runs very very quietly, spins out most of the water and cleans clothes well. There is no center spindle to thrash the clothing, so one gets the sense that the clothes are handled more gently than otherwise. I particularly like the very quiet running, and being able to look at the action through the glass top lid.

It took me a couple of washes to get used to the low water level and now I adjust it to my liking at a little higher level. Other than that, it has worked great and it's pretty quiet. I've never had an HE before and I'm very happy with my purchase. I love the fact that there's no agitator because I can wash my quilts and other items without worrying about damage.

This washer is so efficient! I didn't have a washer before I made this purchase and my electricity and water bills did not increase very much after adding the washer to my electricity and water use. The washer is also big enough to fit whatever I need in it and it's very quiet. I love it!

So far I love it! It is quick, energy efficient, quiet, and very roomy. I was able to get my king-sized filled comforter in, and wash without difficulty. The bin is a deep, and slightly difficult to get clothes out of the bottom, but it is manageable.

I got a great price on this washer and the matching dryer due the Best Buy's price match guarantee and it's been worth every penny! The washer is quiet and efficient and easy to use. I've been more than pleased with both this washer and the matching 7.3 Cu. Ft. 8 cycle dryer! I would recommend them both!

This washer is extremely quiet and a huge upgrade from my previous washer. Easy to use with larger load capacity. The reviews were accurate in that it is worth it. Only issue is the depth of the barrel. Might be tough for shorter people.

I love my new washer, it dose a great job cleaning and after spinning there is not a drop of water left in clothes. My only problem is that it is very deep, wish is great for large loads, but I have a hard time reaching items at bottom of washer.

I love my new LG washer (and dryer). Super easy to operate, holds a LOT of clothes, syncs up with my smartphone for a few functions, cleans my clothes really well, it's quiet, takes up less space than my previous W/D, and I LOVE having the controls located on the front of the washer.

This washer is huge! We can practically do all our clothes in one load. Nothing to complain about. We love it. If you are short, though, you might have problems reaching to the bottom to get the clothes out. It's quiet (on our 1st floor) and has a nice sing-song-y buzzer.

Very big and quiet washer. Easy to operate--lots of choices! Works well so far-bought it about a month ago. Very deep, though, so I have a bit of a stretch to get clothes out--could be a problem if you're not at least average height. Switched back to this top loader after having a front loader for ten years--got tired of the clothes falling back out as I tried to load it.

Very large capacity for the price. This machine has a number of different cycles but really how many do you need? The washer functions well gets clothes clean and the spin cycle extracts a lot of water so the loads are fairly dry when they go into the dryer. Cycles are long, and the chime notifying the end of the wash is very soft

Great washer and very easy to use! I can wash my queen size blankets easily. I love the different settings depending on your wash load. I also love that I can change the spin cycle speed to go slower for my workout clothes and lingerie.

This washer is so quiet compared to my other machine. I like that it is a top loading washer and there is tons of room to wash comforters and blankets. I like the user friendlyness of the programs.

Large capacity and many easy-to-use settings. Nice and quiet compared to last washer. Top loading washer with glass door that lets you see in while the machine in washing. Buttons/controls are right in front of the tub. The tub is deep so it can be a challenge to get all of the clothes out; and you are leaning over the controls.

I absolutely love this washer it washes clothes perfectly and spins all of the water out of clothes and virtually dry when they are done. The drum is a little deep for those who are shorter so beware of that. Small and compact and great.

My wife, the one who washes all of our clothes and things has stated that this unit is the best washer she has ever used. It is simple to program and is extremely quiet and cleans everything better than anything she has seen before.
