Customers appreciate the 4.5 Cu. Ft. HE Smart Front Load Washer and 7.4 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer WashTower's quiet operation, ease of use, and efficient cleaning performance. Many also highlight its space-saving design and large capacity despite its compact size. While some found the unit heavy and installation challenging, the positive feedback on its functionality and features outweighs these concerns. The app integration, while useful for some, is a point of contention for others.

I’ve had this washer/dryer tower for less than 2 years and paint is peeling and has some discoloration, potentially rust around the soap dispenser. No detergent has been left in the area to cause peeling. No harsh chemicals have been used to clean the machine. This is considered a cosmetic issue and neither Best Buy or LG will resolve this. LG sent me a link to a website form to “write a letter” to the LG president and I’ve not been contacted by a person. I did randomly receive a link to extend my warranty but I do not qualify and that would not help anyway if they feel this is cosmetic. I see this as a DEFECT. There should be no issues in such a short time. My previous washer/dryer tower that was at least 20 years old didn’t have rust or peeling paint. I’ve seen other customer complaints about paint peeling on these units often around the door. It makes me wonder if warmth from the hot water is melting the paint. This all needs to be addressed!
Additionally, the dryer does not 100% dry my clothes. The setting needs to be on high to get close to dry. I often let my clothes air dry after each load before putting them away.
I would not recommend!
Hi, Janette. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback regarding your LG Washer (WKEX200HWA) model. We understand your concern about the peeling paint, discoloration, and issues with drying performance, especially given the short time frame and your prior positive experience with similar appliances. We aim to offer top-notch products that exceed our customer's needs. For the peeling paint and possible rust, it's crucial to keep the area around the soap dispenser dry and not too wet. Even if you didn't use harsh chemicals, being around moisture for a long time can still cause cosmetic problems. Please inspect the machine for any trapped moisture or residue causing these issues. Regarding the drying performance, try running a clean cycle on the dryer to remove any build-up affecting its efficiency. Great for smaller spaces with a larger load capacity
