This unit has been a fantastic addition to our household. Its spacious 4.5 cu. ft. capacity easily accommodates large loads, reducing the number of wash cycles needed. The 6Motion Technology is impressive, utilizing multiple wash motions to ensure clothes are thoroughly and gently cleaned.
One of the standout features is the ColdWash technology, which delivers a deep clean using cold water, saving on energy costs without compromising performance. The washer operates quietly, allowing us to run cycles at any time without disturbance.
The user-friendly controls and variety of wash cycles make it adaptable to different laundry needs, from delicate fabrics to heavily soiled items. Its stackable design is perfect for maximizing space in our laundry area.
Overall, this LG washer combines efficiency, advanced technology, and convenience, making laundry less of a chore. Highly recommend!

Great, but Confirmed Has an Odor....

4-stars for only one reason....other reviewers have mentioned a smell from the washer. Yup, confirmed, it has a smell. This is NOT a musty, mold smell --I have owned front-load washers before and learned to always leave the door ajar and I've had the unit for only a month, this smell was present from day 1. It is a machine oil or something from the manufacturing process. It is a metallic / oil / machine-y smell. I did use a dose of the Afresh brand refresher tablets specifically for front load washers. Helped for the next wash but smell has returned. Has be something on the internals of the unit. Don't know what this is, is kind of concerning and annoying, however, if use fabric softener and dryer sheets the smell does not come out on clothing.
Beyond that strange issue, this thing is top notch. Great value for the spend, uses MINIMAL water and overall is extremely quiet. I do need a shim or adjust the feet as is not quite perfectly level so it slightly rocks on the spin cycle -- not an issue of the unit is an issue of my floor!
The user guide sucks, had to watch some YoutTube videos learn about all the functions. But, I am a single guy so most all my wash I run on Normal, Tap Cold so until the girlfriend decides she wants to run laundry here 90% the functions are lost on me. I did use the Bedding setting and yes my sheets and duvet cover turned out real nice.
Yes, I recommend this product simply be aware of the odd machine-type odor. Again, odor is not on my clothes is simply kind of a stanky smell with the machine.

Felt fantastic to upgrade to this washer after dealing with a tiny and noisy GE Spacesaver unit in our old apartment. We have it installed in the unfinished half of our basement, where the other half is our home office, and even on a high spin cycle I forget it's running until it does its little cute song at the end.
One thing I wish it had though is the option of a reversible door like the accompanying dryer has, since we're stuck with a utility setup that has the dryer vent on the left and the drain tub on the right. This makes it a little bit awkward to move clothes from one machine to the other because at least one door is in the way, though I understand this is a limitation of most residential washers.
Otherwise, we love it and appreciate the generous capacity and efficiency for its price.

So far I'm happy with the washer performance. It is quiet
when spinning too. The laundry is really clean. I had some
exceptionally dirty laundry that piled up when my Maytag washer would not work any more even though I had taken 4 loads to the laundromat. I had prepped the left over laundry for washing but still it had some stains that I thougtht would maybe not come out but I washed those white leftover laundry (towels and wash cloths) on Heavy duty one load at a time not overfilling the laundry and using
Clorox only the amount recommended per load and it came out as clean as a whistle. I was so thankful .

Still getting used to this machine. I've never had a front loader before. Not sure I prefer it, though many people told me it's the better design. I do like the fact that this machine is very quiet, supposedly uses less water, and definitely uses much less detergent. It seems to clean well, which is what counts, but it's computerized, so it's pre-set for times depending on what cycle you choose. The amounts of time for most cycles, including "normal" seem ridiculously long. I've decided to do most laundry on "delicate" no matter what I'm washing because it's the most reasonable amount of time--and even that is too long as far as I'm concerned. My old, but dying, 25+ year old machine did a wash in about 35 minutes. This thing wants to take at least 45 minutes and up to 90 to do the same job, unless you choose "speed wash," which is only 15 minutes, which seems too short to me. I wish you could opt to select your own amount of time no matter which cycle you choose. To be honest I chose this machine largely because of size, and even then it was a challenge getting through my doors, one of which had to be removed. This reveiw requires a yes or no in terms of recommending this machine. My true answer would be "it depends," neither yes nor no.

When my 13-year LG old washing machine became unreliable. I decided the cost of repairs might not be a saving if the older machine were to fail soon in some other way.
Newer machines had steam and WiFi features, but I selected the one most like my old LG washer. I bought one with a brighter display because there were mixed reviews on the darker display panel.
To my amazement, the new LG machine cleans even better than my old LG, and is it so much quieter with no unbalanced load noises. It spins the clothes that less dryer time is needed.

Very good washer, quiet and use minimal water to clean the clothes good. The clothes are barely damp after spin cycle which means less time drying. The wash cycles are longer than usual but that’s a minor detail in comparison to all the other wonderful features. My sister loves her new LG washer, it cut her laundry day shorter with its larger capacity and can now wash her king size bedding set at once and not have to take comforter elsewhere to wash when she had an old top loader with agitator.

Very nice washer for the price. Very quiet and easy to operate. Minimal water noise and nice running through all the cycles including the spin cycle. I ran several wash loads right away including my comforter. The performance was outstanding and smelled cleaner than before. The soap and softener dispenser are easy to fill and read fill lines. Next I filled the tub to the max with clothes and towels to see how it performs with a heavy load. Ran just as smooth without any problems.

Nice machine and does a good job washing the clothes. However, the clothes come out with a mildew smell that is extremely hard to get rid of. I use the monthly pellets that are recommended to clean the machine. I wipe it dry after every load. I've had to switch soaps several times to find one that minimizes the mildew odor but doesn't drive us nuts with the perfume odors that are added to soap. I don't know if this is unique to LG or if this is true for all front load washers. I just know it's annoying to wipe your face with a freshly washed towel and smell mildew!

Hello there, Lorena. Thank you for sharing your experience with us regarding your LG - 4.5 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Stackable Front Load Washer. We understand that this unit didn't meet your expectations, and we understand your inquiry regarding the mildew odor. To address this, we recommend cleaning the drain pump filter located behind the small door at the bottom front of your washer, as trapped debris can often cause persistent smells. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-4-5-cu-ft-high-efficiency-stackable-front-load-washer-with-6motion-technology-white/J7G564PKH5 For further assistance and any specific concerns you may have, please contact us on [email protected]. Waited until I'd used this a bit to write my review. Bought this to replace my 18 year old LG Front Loader that died in March 2025. We average 2-3 loads of laundry a day for our business. Simple design, affordable, basic functions, much quieter than my old one and more efficient. Install crew was great too.

Great washer for the price, leaves clothes super clean. Spin cycle does good job at getting most of the water out of the clothes before going in the dryer. Overall its pretty quiet and easy to maintain as well.

We purchased this model to replace a 10+ year old top load Kenmore Elite washer. It is amazing how efficient and quiet this new washer is, especially during the high spin cycle. It is truly a great replacement. Front load model does require to wipe off the extra small amount of water leftover after the cycle is completed to avoid getting dirty, but it is not a big issue. Best buy purchase and delivery experience is top notch as well. The delivery and install only took 20 mins. Price match and Cal water rebate worked as well to lower the total purchase cost. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

Purchased this on sale two months ago and wow, love the ease of use and the crazy amount of options for washing clothes. Does very well with bedding including my pillows. Also has a speed wash that cleans well in less than 20 minutes. BestBuy installed the machine (also lifted it to the third floor of my townhouse) in no time. Also, the chime noise this machine does is both pleasing but travels far. I'm able to hear when the washer is done from the first floor even though it is located on the third floor. Very spacious and easy to load and unload clothes. Would definitely recommend.

This is a replacement for our 14 year old LG washer. This washer is a dream! The cold water high efficiency function is out of this world. It takes longer on that cycle but when done my whites have never looked so good. This machine is soooooo quiet too! I have the set and stacked in our small laundry room and to have two large capacity washer and dryer fit in a small space is amazing.
