Works so much better than my top load that I used to have.I will never go back to a top load washer. This machine does a excellent job getting clothes clean! Easy to used quieter too! Love the quick wash function.

I bought this washer after my older Samsung front loader threw a bearing and needed to be replaced. I tried a top load washer but felt that it didn't really wash clothes as well as my previous front loader. We've been using this one for about a month now and overall we really like it. It is nice and quiet and seems to clean clothes well. I tried the steam setting once because that is supposed to help to get clothes cleaner but I honestly didn't notice a difference. It did make the laundry cycle take a lot longer though. A normal cycle is about an hour. The same cycle using steam took a little over 2 hours. I set up the washer with LG's SmartThinq app but I haven't really found anything that is useful about it. Sure it texts me when the washer is finished and you can start a load from the app. But you need to be home to load the washer in the first place so I don't get the point. This machine has a lot of cycles, (probably way more than we will ever need) but it certainly seems to get the job done. The 2 most important things to me in a washing machine is that it works and is quiet. This machine does both.

We are super happy with our LG 4.5Cu Ft washer. It's quiet, huge, easy to use & it does a great job washing clothes.

I'm impressed with this machine's quietness of operation and its motion technology that keeps it from shaking my downstairs during use, unlike my previous washer. I enjoy the steam feature, and the fact that my clothes come out whiter and brighter than I expected. The washer is easy to operate, and the Geek Squad was helpful in setting up and guiding me through the process of how best to use the machine and keep it working optimally for a long life span.

We replaced a 13 year old LG Tromm with this washer and we are loving it - it has some great wash cycles that are customized for the type of loads that we do - its easy and intuitive to use and it does a great job washing our laundry - it is super quiet and we have started using the delay washing with the app to setup the wash to end when we are getting home and can move things to the dryer - we are super excited about our new LG washer

This machine replaces a 2006 LG that provided excellent performance. Thus far the machine performs better than our previous unit with less water consumption, reduced noise and better spin out cycle. Clothes appear to be at least as clean if not more so. The WiFi function is a bit gimmicky but does provide notice of cycle completion as time remaining. Two minor complaints include a somewhat difficult to read panel due to low lighting and a slightly more flimsy door.

Finally a washer that can handle my king sized comforter. So far so good, the machine washes great, The washer has great and many wash cycle options and the wi fi connectivity that tells you when the cycle has ended is great for busy households. The washer is very easy to use and understand. I've only had slight issues with the matching dryer not completely drying a load on certain items but I've learned to add more minutes. Not a deal breaker for me.

Does a good job washing but some cycles take a long time. Machine is very quiet and vibrates very little. Washer does not allow you to jump in somewhere in the middle of a cycle Panel displaying settings has text which is completely unreadable unless you use a flash light. There should be a good backlight (unforgivable), Manual is far from complete and gives lots of info but not about the various cycles. Also had to go to the internet to find out what the red circle meant with a lock

Quiet, efficient , easy to use, lots of good features, and fast! We like it. Lot.

We've had this washer for just less than a month and we are really pleased with it and how simple it is to use. There is an easy slide out compartment to add detergent, fabric softener and anything else that is needed. It is simple to select the desired wash setting and easy to adjust the setting if you want to change it for a custom cycle. This washers does a great job of cleaning our laundry. The one thing we noticed is that during some of the high speed spin cycles to drain the water, it spins so fast that the washer starts to vibrate the floor noticeably. To help eliminate the vibration we backed the spin cycle down one speed slower. It seems to have helped. We haven't tried the wifi setting yet since we haven't had a need to remotely operate this washer. We haven't tried the steam settings yet but look forward to trying them. We did a lot of research before purchasing this washer. We wanted to move to front loader and this is our first one. We had family that purchased this washer before we did so we had a chance to check out how it worked and test it before purchasing ours. We are very pleased with it and would recommend it to someone who wants a front loader that offers a lot of value for the price.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because there is water left in the tray where the soap and softener go. So when you need to start a new load, you have to wipe it out so that the detergent isn't diluted. I do like that the little tray comes out so you don't have to drag a big laundry bottle out to pour into the tray. Otherwise, this washer is amazing. My clothes come out perfect, not damaged and they smell CLEAN. My old washer the clothes would still come out smelling dirty and the dog hair was never removed. This removes the dog hair! Also, the settings are awesome. I still haven't figured out how to use the wifi, but I love the little noise that you get when the cycle is complete. This has really made me much more efficient in my washing duties, because I remember to gather the laundry, it doesn't smell musty because I left it in there and I can start another load right away. Another draw back to this is that the rubber rim and the door does hold the water and condensation, so you MUST leave the door OPEN and you MUST wipe clean the drum, door, and rubber or else you will have a moldy washer on your hands, which smells gross. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase except for the two small little things, but I'm really looking forward to see if I save on my water bill!

We bought this machine to replace our previous LG machine, which I loved! Both machines (old & new) use very little water and detergent but clean the clothes nicely. Clothes don't fade as much as in a regular washer and stay new looking longer. There are plenty of wash cycles to choose from. Direct drive is a plus. On the downside of this machine: there's not enough light behind the touch screen to illuminate it. Until I learned where each button was located, I actually had to use a flashlight to see the options! Also, the machine doesn't spin smoothly. In fact, often when it spins, you can see the door bulging out and going back in as it spins. I have concerns that the machine won't last long due to this. The tub sits at a tilt (lower at the back, higher at the front) which the old one didn't do. Not sure if this is the cause of the issue. The spin cycle is noisy and always seems off balance. Our machine started making a whistling noise recently while filling. We had purchased the Geek Squad extended warranty (which we will never do again) so we called for repair. The soonest appointment was 1-1/2 weeks out. Geek Squad contracted with A&E Serives to make the repair. The cold water inlet valve needed to be replaced. The repairman was gone to his van for quite some time before returning with a part. After replacing the part, he said he tried the machine and it was working. After he left, we turned on the machine and it wouldn't fill. My husband looked at the part the repairman had put on and found that he had replaced it with a part that wasn't compatable with our machine and had ground down the sides of the metal prongs to make them fit into the wire harness clips. (See pics below.) We called the repair man's phone and left a message but our call wasn't returned. We called Geek Squad, explained what had happened and were told it would be 2 weeks before they could send someone out. My husband ordered the correct part from a supplier online. They had it here in 2 days and he replaced it himself. When he told Geek Squad and A&E Service what had happened, he was not offered as much as an apology. The extended warranty was an expensive mistake. Also, when he had the top off of the machine, he found pieces of something that resembled small chips of concrete in the machine that appears to have come from the top front of the drum encasement. I doubt we will buy an LG washer again. Given the customer service we've received from Geek Squad, we will not be wasting our money on an extended warranty since it has proven useless. The repairman had the model and a description of the problem before he came and it seems that he would have been prepared with the proper parts. We have bought from Best Buy for years. It's very disappointing that they would have an unacceptable service department like Geek Squad

Bought this pair in 2020 and it works most excellently almost five years later!!

We have been using this machine for more than one year now. It cleans cloths well. It's quite and seems to be a good product from LG. It's very easy to use. Push power button on, then push start button since I keep it on normal wash. It remembers everything you programmed from last use.

This washer was easy to install. Does a great job washing clothes. It is quiet. I wish the display lit up the words and not just an indicator light. In the store it was very easy to read but at home in our laundry room it is hard to read. I ended up buying a magnetic task light so I can read the display panel.

My Whirlpool Duet front loader bit the dust after 6 years. Unfortunately washers these days come with some much electornic hardware & gadgetry (this LG unit has wi-fi), it's usually the motherboard or electronic components that go bad before the mechanical function of the washer itself. I've bought LG appliances in the past; this washer seems to do a pretty good job w/ getting our clothes clean and extracts much of the water to cut down on dry time. It's still to early to tell if the LG will die a premature death, but I'm told the new norm for washers is 6-8 years. It's highly doubtful I'll get 15 years out of this LG washer, so temper your expectations.

This is a fantastic washing machine. I have the coordinating steam dryer and it fits perfectly side-by-side in my laundry room. The range of cycle, temperatures, and settings allows me to wash even my most delicate items easily. I can fit two sets of queen sheets with blankets in a cycle, or a queen/king duvet. A little more space even than this would have been preferred for family laundry, but honestly this a a good capacity. It gets everything very clean — I’ve washed diapers, Rothy’s, rugs, and lingerie in this, and everything is fresh and staying in great condition! Just remember to leave the door and drawer open for awhile when you finish using it; you don’t want to grow mild in the gussets! Sturdy and high-quality product — I would purchase again!

So I seen, done hours, and days of research, and was afraid that the water being used for these machines weren't going to be enough! The clothes actually did come out clean surprisingly! No oders, and was pretty good at removing stains too. Overall these are pretty good for the price, They also look good in the kitchen, and makes the house look, and feel different like if it's not even my own house I'm walking into! I suggest you try out the diff options, personally I put everything on heavy, and added an extra rinse too, except for the white clothes I used the option seemingly dedicated to the whites. I'm not saying this is te best machine either but it is good, and I honestly would buy these all over again if needed with no regrets at all!!

Replaces a previous front load washer where the main tub bearing failed. Reliability rating steered me towards LGs products. So far very happy with this washer. It's cabinet dimensions are a little smaller than other washers in this capacity range. This is very welcome in our small laundry room. One noticeable improvement in washing is how this machine handles bed linens. Our previous washer always balled our base and top sheets into a big lump. This machine does not seem to do that, leading to better cleaning and fewer out-of-balance conditions. I agree with other reviewers that the display panel could use a redesign to make it more readable, however, I think this is only an issue in dimly lit rooms. We don't have any problems in our well-lit laundry room.

Writing a review for something I've had for less than a month isn't easy.........but here goes. I love its' large capacity. I can wash a lot more items at one time with this machine than my previous Maytag that I had for 14 years. This means I have less loads to do. The only problem I've had so far has been when I washed some sheets a mattress cover. The error message UE appeared when the machine stopped so after looking it up in the manual, I found that I had to manually redistribute the items in the machine. I never had this happen with my old machine. This machine is also extremely more quiet than my previous washing machines. I'm little disappointed that the clear part of the door doesn't dry easily; I've left it open to get it to dry. Again, this wasn't a problem with my Maytag.
