    machine kept jumping around even at the lowest settings. had to install ropes around it to stand still the machine has no balance.

      One helpful step you can try is checking the leveling legs at the bottom of the washer. Even a slight imbalance can cause significant vibration. Make sure all four legs are firmly touching the floor and adjust them until the washer sits evenly. You can also run the Tub Clean cycle afterward, as residue buildup can sometimes contribute to unbalanced loads.
