    I had some trepidations about getting a front-load washer, as all my other washers have been top loaders. But this LG washer is much more efficient than my other washers and cleans just as well. Although some past reviews complained of a potential mildew smell, I have not noticed it. Also, the manual provides ample instructions on how to avoid this problem. I've followed them and, so far, no smell.

    I truly can't stand the matching dryer so they are both going back! Hard to read and set display. It doesn't have a "my favorite cycle setting". The liquid detergent dispenser always has standing water after the wash cycle. The owners manual is not complete. To get all the operating instructions, you must download from LG and print it yourself. End of cycle signal is not loud enough, even when set to high.
