I bought this TV on sale for $150, and it is deffinatley worth it. It has a great picture, the only down side in my opinion is the black levels could be better but that's it. Not the best picture ever but it's very good for the price, by far the best in this price range.

Read reviews before buying. Very easy to set up. Did some skin color adjustment. I feel the picture is quite good with doing very little. Yes, I would recommend if you are looking for a budget TV with a decent picture.

Bought this T.V. for a bedroom and it is a good size! Only issue is that sometimes the remote doesn't work very well. Other than that great color, great sound and easy to use!

This is our first flat screen TV over 18" in width, and we are pretty happy with it. We're particularly happy we paired it with a Roku stick (which basically makes it a smart TV, since that gives us options like Netflix and what not), and we're also stoked that the sound quality is good enough that we didn't need to a purchase a sound bar. (Trust me, this thing can get LOUD without losing quality or bass.) Between both, our budget was going to be $300 for the size and accessories, which seemed impossible at the time, yet we managed to stay under and get more bang for our buck while sticking to a reputable brand like LG. All and all, awesome purchase.

Son's family needed to replace TV. Went online (deal of the day) found this on sale. With gift certificates and sale pricing this TV was an amazing deal, so I purchased it. They are enjoying the TV very much.

The picture looks great, easy to use, &1080p, an awesome tv for the price. I purchased two of this for my kids, I upgraded there 32"LG to this 40"LG.

I bought this tv for my bedroom to watch at night and when i wake up. it is perfect! nice big size, and very clear picture. sound is much more than enough for me in that environment. highly recommend....can't believe the great price.

This is my 2nd LG TV. Had first one for over 10 years. Picture quality is fantastic and speakers are decent enough considering this unit is in a bedroom. Only downside is it only has 2 HDMI ports but that isn't s deal breaker for me

My sons TV went out right before the holidays, i was able to catch this LG "40 at an great Open Box price. He loved it, shows good. I would always recommend getting the extended coverage when purchasing "open box" products to be extra protected.

I love this LG TV for a few reasons, but some notable reasons for me are the number of HDMI ports, the remote design, the thin screen border, the sturdiness, and the base (I really dislike "feet" stands). It seems as if all HD TV's these days just can't get the "white" in the picture right... it's always too much white and it never seems to balance no matter how much tweaking you do. But besides that, the sound and picture quality are great. Very happy with this one so far (I've only had it for almost 3 weeks now)... and it's viewed every day for numerous hours.

A great picture that offers deep blacks and rich, but natural colors. The sound quality is better than most tv's in this price range. It's hard to beat at this price range.

I bought this TV for my Dad when it was on sale in December. It's a great purchase for the price from a brand I trust. Picture quality is good and sound is decent enough.

I bought this tv because it was cheap and was a brand name tv. The picture is very good for the price, nothing to complain about. However, there are a couple things missing that really shouldn't be. First and foremost, no audio out. None whatsoever!!! There is no way to output the sound to anything. Not a sound bar, headphones or audio system. I don't get that. I know this is a cheap tv, but come on. Really they couldn't include an audio out connection for $250? Had I known that before I bought it, I would have bought another tv. For the bedroom its good, ur unlikely to need more sound, but for the tv room, sound is really lacking on this model. Has to be turned up to 90% sometimes. Lastly, 2 hdmi ports. This was advertised and I knew this going in, but I still think its so cheap to not have at least three. Remember when older tv's would come with so many ports you didn't know what to do with them? This tv comes with 4. 4. 2 hdmi, 1 coaxial tv connection, and 1 usb. Thats it. For the bedroom its a good purchase.

I was looking to upgrade my kids TV in their room. Initially brought the TV for the inexpensive price, but was extremely pleased with the picture quality once we plugged it in. Im very satisfied with our purchase.

No complaints so far. I got this tv for under $200 during the holiday and everything is working just fine. It was easy to set up and looks great in my bedroom.

This tv is a great deal. Good clear image and the price I paid ($200 including 2year coverage during holiday sale) made it a steal. I currently use it for a PS4 and a computer monitor and am extremely pleased.

This TV is a smart tv. I haven't used it but it can be wireless. It has capability for using Netflix app so you can watch movies in your room too. I use that. So easy! Great picture too! Great buy!

Bought this TV for my daughter. Great quality for a great price has everything you need in a basic TV. Great picture and sound. Perfect for her apartment. I purchased the 50" version for myself.

This tv was purchased for the main living room in my house as one of two corner tvs the size is perfect and the sound good. It is even right on time with the other tv so no lag in programming
