I bought this to use as a gaming tv/monitor and the panel is awesome once you get the settings dialed in. This is my first OLED panel and the picture on this thing is amazing!

Had a 49" curved Samsung for 3 years, but this 42" LG is the best monitor I every owned. As a gamer, there were almost no adjustments made after turning the monitor on. Perfect as is!

I tried it as a monitor and it was too large, too glossy, and wrong aspect ratio. However, as a TV it is awesome. I have a C4 and the C5 is definitely better in almost every way except the remote.

Great 4K TV but if you're looking to use as a monitor with multiple computers, stay away..... the PC auto-sensing capability is flaky at best. In my opinion this TV is overpriced!
Hi, Mike. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG TV (OLED42C5PUA) model. We understand the importance of having a TV that works smoothly as a PC monitor, especially when you’re switching between multiple computers and relying on consistent input detection.
One helpful step you can try is turning off HDMI‑CEC (SIMPLINK) and setting the input to a fixed PC mode instead of relying on auto‑sensing. This can help stabilize detection when connecting different devices. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-OLED42C5PUA.AUS. While the tv itself is quite nice and fits our needs perfectly, it arrived without the necessary hardware to attach the stand. This was a huge inconvenience as it was Thanksgiving day and it was a gift for a family member. We managed to find two mismatched screws to install it, but it was an incomplete product as purchased.

We understand that your LG 42" Class C5 Series OLED TV (2025) arrived without the necessary hardware for the stand, and we understand your inquiry regarding the missing parts. We are glad to hear the TV itself fits your needs perfectly, and we appreciate your resourcefulness in setting it up for your family member. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-42-class-c5-series-oled-evo-ai-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv-2025/JJ8VPZTHLJ For further assistance and any specific concerns you may have, please contact us on [email protected], and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo

I have this tv in a small room and it has been nothing but a pleasure to use. Only caveat would be the hdr countoring issue not being fixed on all of it preset modes as of this review other than that great oled tv.
