We were a little hectic to get this cause we really wanted to get Samsung but they were out and we didn’t want to wait. Overall this is a very good tv! Love the picture quality, VERY CLEAR and I love the all the options it comes with. Everything about the tv is perfect, except for two things. Every single time we turn it on for some reason we need to delete the wifi from the tv and re enter it, very annoying! That’s made us skeptic on whether to return it or keep it, but I don’t want to go through the hassle of a return so we will see, also, the second thing the remote needs a light on it it’s hard to see anything on it at nighttime. If there is a solution to those two problems then this tv would definitely get 5 stars and would be a keeper for sure.

Frequently crashes and lack of apps

First, the good: - Nice picture quality - Works nicely with Chromecast and Google Assistant The bad: - Frequently crashes. I can't even get through an entire show without the app crashing (I've experienced this with the Netflix and Hulu apps). I'm not sure if it is the app, or the TV losing its WiFi connection (I have high speed internet so I know that is not the issue). But I will be watching a show and all of a sudden it freezes, then tries to load, and eventually tells me the TV is having trouble playing this and to try to turn the device off for a minute. So I have to turn the TV off and then on again, reopen the app, and it tells me it cannot connect. I usually have to do this several times before it works again. It's incredibly frustrating and annoying. - LACK OF APPS! This is partly my fault as I should have done more research before buying this TV. But I assumed (incorrectly) that a leading Smart TV would have all the standard apps. There is no HBO Go/HBO Now app, which I find the most surprising. It also does not have an NBC app which is one I use regularly. - This is more of a personal preference, but I don't love the remote. There are a lot of buttons, but I only use a few of them. I would prefer that pause and play be the same button. Also there is no button to rewind 15 seconds. I selected this TV because I had heard great things about WebOS. I don't know what those people were smoking. In my experience, it sucks. I wish I had just gone with a TV that had a Roku platform, as I've always had good experiences with Roku. It may not be fancy, but at least it's dependable and has all the apps.

We are enjoying our new TV and sound bar.. Not real happy with the Geek Squad though. They set up our remote and it doesn't work right. I messed with it for days and just learned to live with it.. But gets very frustrating.. Geek Squad was to call me back and after several weeks I still have not heard from them. Plus I paid for the yearly coverage which gives me extra protection and should be better quicker response. The MediaComm Tech was here at the house the other day and I asked him to work on the remote and he gave us a new one and now we are getting along much better..

Very good picture and easy to set up-my only complaint is cannot get dts to work on my older Kenwood home theater system as lg is telling me the only way is to have home theater receiver with HDMI arc connection-still good sound but only Dolby digital

I've setup my new TV with a Geek Squad setup in my bedroom - it's definitely bigger than I expected but still a nice size for my room. I'm happy with the picture quality and the overall quality. This is my first LG television and I'm definitely not disappointed.

I am currently using this as a computer monitor for viewing 4k footage while video editing. For this application, the color reproduction is ok at best. I realize that this is not it's intended purpose however, so I'm not giving it negative marks. As a tv, this works just fine. You get what you pay for, but at $200ish you get 4K and hdr. Picture quality is better than the insignia 4k tv I bought last year, but nowhere near as good as my Sony 4k (which cost 5 times as much). Really, the only real negative (given the price) is the menu system. It's a bit clunky and not exactly user friendly. It is not intuitive, you really have to learn and remember where settings are located. Compared to the fire TV or Sony menus, it is not very good.

LG-43 Smart TV is easy to setup and the picture quality is unbelievable. Less than 15 minutes to set up and use the available programs. It is though the actors are standing in the room; almost like 3-D. Great value and performance. Thank You!!

This LG TV provides a very good picture and decent sound. The backlighting is even so the screen does not suffer from light bleed at the edges or dimness at the corners. Out of the box, the TV was set to smart motion so all programs on ALL presets suffered from the soap opera effect. Getting into the manual settings for the picture quality was not very intuitive and there were NO clear instuctions in the manual for adjusting them. Thanks to a video posted on Youtube I was able to find a way to turn off smart motion. Once done, the picture was very satisfying. Sound is plenty loud but not terribly rich and there really isn't much by way of surround. If I were using this for my main TV, I'd add a sound bar at the very least. My main complaint is that LG does not support the Spectrum TV app so I had to buy a ROKU stick to be able to watch cable TV without a cable box. Finally, I'm glad this tv has a full featured remote.

I was looking for a TV for the bedroom to replace an older, non WiFi model to watch Netflix, etc. I’m not very techy. To me, the tv was very easy to set up, easy to use & has a very good picture. BB also matched Walmart price!

One of the better TVs I’ve bought. Was hesitant as I don’t usually buy LG but this was worth it for the price. Great picture and user friendly functions. I will for sure consider LG when buying my next TV after this one.

Great quality tv for the price. Picture is sharp and sound quality is good. Perfect for a dorm room or guest room, not too obtrusive and it’s a light weight unit so it’s simple to mount or rest on a piece of furniture.
