Excellent Basic 4K TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a 65" (oled) and 50" (led) LG 4K UHD TV in addition to this 43". Only has 2 inputs, but since that is all we needed, it works for us. I really like LG (switched from Samsung). Great picture. Good sound and volume. The Magic Remote is really nice and the reason why we spent the extra money and bought this model. Easy to set up. Controls and settings are intuitive. Would definitely buy again and recommend.

Great budget TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a great little budget TV for a secondary room. For non critical viewing it provides a bright, punchy picture that is uniform. The built in apps and interface is good as well. Love the LG mouse-like smart remote. I would definitely buy again for my usage scenario but for critical "videophile" viewing I'd go with one of LG's OLEDs. Better blacks, better HDR, etc.

Amazing picture and sound quality, includes Wired
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a slightly larger LG and am very happy with this purchase. I made a few minor SETUP changes otherwise it's pretty standard as it comes out of the box. It's about half the weight of the previous set. Easy setup. One odd thing is the LG Channels required me to set up Wifi specifics when I am using WIRED Ethernet for streaming. The extra channels are nice, similar to many free internet streaming channels with advertising. The SMART APPS do NOT include many major network apps (like PBS) which was surprising, so I continue to use my Roku box for most streaming apps. The"Magic Remote" is quite large and can use voice comands which I haven't used , it includes a cursor and up and down arrow keys for making choices. Going to and from different inputs is easy for example. Also for changing SETUP values. Closed captioning is done with two clicks. There is a Show GUIDE (similar to TV Guide} listing shows on all channels, now and future, also has a Notificatioin function to tell you when a show is about to start and will take you there at that time if you want. The only thing for me seems to be less sensitive antenna reception. Yes I still use free broadcast TV on occasion as I live not too far from a major city so making use of these channels for news and older tv shows is handy. But now some channels have disappeared or I have to move the antenna around a lot during the day as reception changes. Maybe because many people use cable and/or streaming services on air broadcasts are less important so this feature gets less attention. But everything in life has advantages and disadvantages and the advantages of this new set outweighs my particular disadvantages.

Best TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was rather hard. I had to get used to the magic remote, and, for some reason it kept saying "not connected" even though I had both the HDMI cable in, and cable connected; plus everything plugged in right. I put in my computer ethernet cable and the TV finally came on. But, I had to call my cable Co out as my cable remote wasn't working. He switched it over from the Samsung I'd had to LG (he said "that's the problem, and then he ripped out the ethernet cable out and said you don't need that in there," and the TV stayed on. I then learned by using the computer the best way to set the TV up to my liking. Once I had done all that, I've been satisfied, and the picture is fantastic. They shouldn't advertise 120hz refresh rate when it's only 60hz though. The only thing I may add to it is my DVD player, and don't plan to add streaming or anything else. I could have settled for a 40" LG for less, as I really don't need all of the Smart features on this one, but, for the money, I'm not complaining. One other thing. By taking my 43" Samsung back (that the picture faded bad at an angle), I saved $34.00 + received a Best Buy card for $8.26. Thus, I feel good about this buy, and Best Buy people were very helpful when purchasing this one.

Makes a great computer monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to use as a computer monitor and it works very well for that purpose. At 43 inches and 4k resolution (3840x2160) It is equivalent to a two by two array of 21.5 inch 1080p (1920x1080) monitors but with no bezel. The pixel density is fine when looking from 2-3 feet away and having this much screen-space is awesome for programming and more general office type tasks (email, spreadsheets, etc.) HDR works fine in Windows, games, and videos. This particular model has one of the highest ratings for use with a PC at the rtings website (not a typo, really is ratings without the "a" and with a com domain). And when I got it on sale for a mere three benjamins, well, it blows away any monitor that is even close to that price. Even when its not on sale, there is no monitor that is close to comparable until you get to MUCH higher price points.

Great TV For Use As A PC Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Television is well suited to be used as a PC Monitor even for Gaming. I have played online shooters and single player games alike and the input latency and smoothness is as good as any normal PC Monitor that I have tried. At no point did I feel at a disadvantage to other players because I was playing on a Television, if anything I was playing better than with the previous older unit that this product replaced. The up conversion quality of this TV is quite good with 1080p content and I could see a noticeable difference between this model and other 1080p only Televisions that I own. This product's sound is adequate for bedroom use and has more clarity and bass response than similarly priced offerings from other manufactures. It has several presets that can be tailored to suite the content that you are viewing, from quiet late night viewing to louder sports broadcasts and movies. The only drawbacks that I have experienced are that Standard Definition content is not presented very clearly and the base feet are wider than my previous Television so adjustments had to be made in order to position it properly in the same space.

Great Value, Great Picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two--the 49" for our living room and the 43" for my mother-in-law upstairs. Both use IPS screen tchnologhy, which is a far brighter, clearer picture, especially from side angles, than most TV's (which use VA technology). Smart remote with on-screen cursor is more handy than I expected. Bluetooth connectivity gives my mother-in-law the ability to use any earphones/headset/earbuds to listen to her TV in lieu of the old TV Ears she has been using. As usual, Best Buy had great prices on both and knowledgeable personnel to direct me to the right equipment.

Great television for an “economy” 4K HDR TV.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A solid 4K HDR economy TV. Paid just $319 plus tax. Was very happy when I brought it homeAnd saw the quality of the 4K and HDR that this TV was capable of for the price I paid. The remote control is the best remote control I’ve ever had.

Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for a smaller living room as a replacement to a "box TV". Found the set-up to be straight forward. You're guided by prompts on the screen. Only issue for some is the sound quality from the TV's speakers. Not top notch, as they face down for one thing; but a soundbar could help that. For me, I can live with the ones in the set. Owned it about a month now & no problems at all considering the size and price I paid. I'm thinking of getting a second one for another room in the house.

Magic Remote is the Icing on the Cake!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so I’ve had Samsung, Sony, Sharp and so far, the Sharp is by far the worst. So, I’ve decided to try LG now. I’m really impressed with the TV! Picture quality is awesome but I think by far the WebOS that LG runs is superior to others. And the remote doubles as a magic remote which allows you to point at the screen and a pointer shows up and you navigate like a Nintendo Wii. Way cooler when entering passwords and emails for Apps like Hulu and Netflix, etc. if this TV can stand the test of time I will be crowning a new TV manufacturer #1 in this house and swap my Living Room 70” Sharp 4K for an OLED LG.

Fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect colors! It has instant game response for Xbox One X and PC gaming. Comes with magic remote to use like a “wii remote” when navigating apps like Netflix and Hulu. Definitely the smartest smart TV for this price in my opinion. It could cost $1000 and I’d still be happy with all the features, so for just $300 you can’t go wrong. It never lags when changing between apps. The software is very user friendly. It is not OLED but the IPS is so darn good.

Solid value
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the time of this writing the 50” was $10 less than the 43” I got. I wish I could fit a 50” in this particular spot, but it would look silly. So 43” was a hard cut off, and owning other LG’s including an OLED I was looking for another. I love my magic remotes, even though I wish they were more sensitive to come alive sometimes. So even though this tv was a little more than a larger size, I still feel like I got a good value. The tv looks great, sounds surprisingly well, and the UI is great. As always, go over to rtings website and look at their recommendations for color settings.

Giving Samsung a run for their money
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this Tv. Easy set and installation. Very easy to use Netflix, and Amazon video functions super easy. Not to mention the use of Alexa. I was very close to purchasing a QLED which offers better picture quality but I was very impressed with how I can control my cable and all the tv functions with the remote that comes with the tv; fully integrated. The new Samsung QLED TVs definitely offer better picture quality. However, overall, I give this tv 5 stars because how user friendly all the functions are with this tv.

Great bedroom TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this 2019 TV with high hopes that it would be of the same level of quality we have come to expect from LG. We were not disappointed. Picture, sound, and ease of use are all A+.

Great First 4K
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i got the 43 inch i believe and I definitely am glad i did not go bigger. TV is set in a bedroom small approx -12x12 and the tv works well with PS4 HDR gaming especially when in Vivid mode it looks incredible but has moderate lag in fast cars/specific motions. Dark blacks, lots of ‘Smart’ tools like Siri can be used to turn it on or off based on your iphone location and manual operation. Youtube app is uncomplicated and the remote is fun but annoying with the mouse control. Google Voice search and whatnot works well but i wish it was more intuitive like siri but again this is a midseries affordable tv can’t go wrong ! Sounds amazing with downward firing speakers.

High display quality and plenty of features
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.summary explains it all. UHD picture quality is crisp and clear. The standard viewing quality is 4K UHD and if you want to play games on it it has a gaming mode that lowers resolution but makes it more responsive to your inputs than the regular UHD quality. Speaker quality is quite good and the menus are easy enough to navigate. Great pick for both a starter Smart TV or an upgrade

Excellent 4K Picture, 1-Person Install possible
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality of this 43" LG TV is excellent, especially with 4K media. I played "The Rise of Skywalker" 4K Blu-ray using an Oppo-203 and Panasonic-UB420. The TV detects 4K input and switches to "Deep Color Space" automatically. The TV does a very good job upscaling non-4K input. I am watching broadcast TV over-the-air with an antenna, so programs are HD (1080i, 720p) and SD (480i). Newer OTA HD programs are very good, vivid and sharp. Old "classic TV" programs tend to look a bit flat/washed-out but that's to be expected due to the source material. This 43" LG TV is a nice size for smaller rooms or if you have limited space for a TV. Weighing only 18 lbs, one person install is possible if you "modify" the un-box procedure. Gently lay the box screen side down on the floor. Cut the tape on the bottom of the box and bend the flaps up. Tip the box up to standing position. Cut the tape on top of the box, remove accessories, pull the box straight up and off, leaving TV standing up in bottom and top styrofoam pieces. Take box and rebend/tape bottom and top flaps. Lay box on floor next to screen side of TV. Tip TV down onto box. Slide TV so that bottom styrofoam hangs over edge of box. Remove bottom styrofoam, unseal/open plastic bag just at the TV bottom. Install mounting feet. Tip TV up to standing position. Now you have TV with mounting feet in protective bag and top styrofoam. Finally comes the hard part. Stand behind the TV, approximately in the center, one hand on top and bottom and lift without touching or squeezing the front screen, etc. This part depends on your arm length, flexibility, where you are putting it, etc. so you will have to adjust this part to meet your needs.
