The best OLED alternative in 2022-2023

The black levels and colors are really similar to OLED but without the burn-in worries. I'm very critical of new tech and this TV is truly as good as the reviews say. It is leaps and bounds better looking than my LCD TV from 2013. It is only 60Hz but 60fps games and movies look like they're running on liquid-smooth 120Hz. I am quite impressed with this TV.
I use it as a computer monitor next to my UltraSharp for viewing 4K HDR video from my camera. I have two ARC-based devices, so I use a splitter to share the single ARC HDMI port this TV comes with. When I'm not using it as a monitor, it streams all the free TV programs through its native apps which include all the big names. It's great. Switching between apps and computer monitor and a single button. Honestly, this is a feature I didn't even know I needed until I had it. I got spoiled with this TV. I guarantee you will too.
The ONLY thing I could complain about would be the viewing angle. It's not as wide as OLED but again, you don't get burn-in. I highly recommend this TV. If you do your homework, you'll probably find yourself coming back to this TV. Trust me...get it. At the price it is, it's a keeper.

This tv was so easy to unpack and set up. Color is very vivid and sound is acceptable for the room without being too loud. The magic remote is very useful and easy to operate.

We wanted to upgrade to a smart TV to start a migration away from cable to streaming. Our Samsung 40" (8years?) was working fine but not internet capable by design. This TV hooked up quickly and we are finding out what is available. We have access to Prime and the Verizon entertainment package. One thing that takes some getting used to is that the remote has a pointer for selecting screen menu items. The picture and sound are acceptable/good. This remote also has speech capability which is a plus. One thing that caused us some pain is that the legs are spread apart 32" and the old Samsung had a center stand. Our TV stand is 29" wide. We ended up getting a 36" x 5" shelf board and laying it on our existing stand. We could line up the edge of the screen with the shelf board. Not ideal but it works. The board finish did not match the TV stand but we are getting past that. Our BluRay player needs different outputs to work with the new TV. Will have to get a replacement at some point.

This is a nice tv for the price. The viewing angle is very narrow but it’s just for the bedroom so it works for me… keep that in mind .. Webos isn’t very good so plan on using a alternate streaming device that’s a must….overall you will be happy if you do some tweaks. It does have some nice features so it evens out.I’m happy I think you will be too.. good luck it seems frustrating even trying to buy the right budget Tv.

Great customer service. LG TV has great color, good sound quality and easy to use. Installer from Geek Squad was fast and knew exactly what to do. Especially liked that he brought TV to house in addition to installing product.

It is a great buy if you are not looking to spend more but still wants premium video and audio. The use of nanocell technology seems to be doing its job pretty good at this price range.
Good for eyes, better and wide viewing angles (upto 45 degree.)
Choose an IPS screen if you want better viewing angles.
avail in 45,55 inches and above.
The only thing which bothered me is the web OS. For some reason it seemed to be working slow( mostly a 5 second response time).
Gaming is smooth
Overall the tv is 4.2/5

The speakers are surprisingly good for a TV, though I bypassed them shortly after purchase. Image is good, but off axis viewing is pretty dodgy. It’s more than good enough for our rather wide couch, but that’s about it. Interface of WebOS is weird and not intuitive to navigate. Overall worth the price.

I am totally impressed with the clarity of the picture and the ease of its programming via verbal and screen wordage step by step. The at home picture color clarity is exceptional in all view areas. This is my 6th LG TV that I have purchased over the last 10 years. I have purchased 32 inch 42 and the latest 43 inch TV's along with 50 inch and a 65 inch Tv. As you see I am one dedicated customer

I am beyond happy that I purchased this TV! Setup was a breeze! My Xbox one looks great on the 43” display! I love the Magic remote! It took no time at all to attach the feet and go through the initial setup! The picture quality is fantastic! I love the built in apps that LG has installed! This was a purchase I was very excited to make! LG did not disappoint! They are the only brand of tvs in our household!

This TV is really crisp and sharp it has a few flaws though with gaming on a PS4 it will have to be used in HDR resolution mode if you don't have an 4k HDMI cable or system that supports 4k.. other then that I really enjoy my new TV it was a great sale price to $350 compared to its $500 price tag..

Picture is excellent. Screen is bright and sharp. Remote control is simple to use. Streaming menu's are as easy to use as a Roku with good number of sources available at no charge. 43" size is easy to move around while still large enough for easy viewing by multiple people. Very happy with this purchase

I had high hopes for this TV, but I am very disappointed. I bought it online without actually seeing it live, BIG MISTAKE!
Colors are dull and inconsistent and picture quality is extremely poor. Add to that, stepping even slightly to the side creates a very noticeable decay of the already poor picture. Three or more steps to the side and the whole screen looks pink.
Picture and sound settings were useless. Only two settings for the picture, Vivid and Sport, were even tolerable. All the other settings were dark and with almost no contrast.
I also had problems with the LG apps. The system kept wanting to change over to LG web programming and it was a struggle to return to the HDMI port (HDMI #1) where my cable TV was connected. At one point, I spent 40 minutes trying to change it and the system kept changing it back. I finally unplugged the TV and restarted, which seemed to resolve the problem.
The poor color stability and picture quality were total deal breakers. Returned the TV the next day.
Bright side: After this experience, I went to the store and shopped for a replacement. I DID buy another LG TV, the OLED48C2, which so far, is outstanding! It was a little more than twice the cost, but easily worth it. Guess you get what you pay for.

This TV was recommended by the employees at Best Buy. We have enjoyed this TV. The picture quality is so good. Ive watched 4k movies on it and love it. Set up was easy. Only took a few minutes. There was either this or one other brand we looked at. Very glad we chose the LG.
