    LG Display way too Fragile

This is a review of the product not Best Buy. Purchased on 7/12/2023 and took the utmost care in handling it. I needed to move it to the floor to rearrange some things on my desk. I grabbed two corners and gently lowered it down. There was definitely no impact. When I lifted it back up, the screen had a circle as seen in the picture and lots of lines. Called LG warranty and they said I had mistreated it and it had an impact in that area. The second picture shows my screen with the TV off and there is not a single mark where they accused me of impacting the screen. Moved my larger Samsungs many times with no issue. Obviously the LG Display is a lot more fragile.

I don't know if I got a bad model or what, but I have had repeated issues with the TV randomly showing snowy lines and random times. I've had even worse time trying to reach out to LG to schedule a technician to come look at it again.

I've had this television for a few months. I have a lot of LG products, most of which are IoT connected to Alexa. The picture is excellent, the onboard apps and LG's channel content are decent with a lot of options that don't require a subscription. I don't have local, cable, nor satellite service - just Netflix, Prime, and Hulu. I haven't yet had any need for more than that. The sound quality is good and I was able to connect my Echo Studio wirelessly, which does a great job of approximating surround sound. It fits perfectly on my bedroom's fireplace mantle - the included feet are 8" deep and the mantle is about 8.5." The house is >100yrs so I didn't want to mount it on the original plaster wall. I think the price was a good deal, too. It was on sale and I had some gift cards from a promo on my new kitchen appliance package that covered almost the full amount. While I wouldn't place this on the living room, it's a great option for a bedroom, office, or kids room. I do wish it came with a magic remote so it can run the equalizer calibration like I have on my 55" living room set, and I could use that muscle memory with the LR remote. Frequently hit the wrong button because some of the layouts are different.

The LG-43-class-uq75-series-led-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv was easy to lift and put into a small SUV. It was my first new TV in over a decade and the technology has improved. LG's UQ75 series was thin, lightweight, and could be set on a tabletop (legs were included) or mounted on a wall (wall mount was not included). Once I got it home, pairing the LG UQ75 with a cable-TV company's remote was difficult. The cable-TV remote seemed to remember the previous TV. So we switched to the LG remote which wanted us to provide our name, phone, email address, and set up a password for LG. The navigation (left, right, up, down) did not include a method to correct an entry. Eventually, using the LG remote, we got over 200 internet channels, Amazon Prime, and Hulu after putting in user ids and passwords. But the cable company's remote did not seem to do much. And the biggest problem was that we did not realize that the cable-TV DVR box should have been plugged into HDMI port 1. Silly me. I had plugged in the Amazon Fire Stick dongle from the old TV--it was not needed. If there were printed instructions, I missed them. The on-screen instructions (once our WiFi network and password were entered) suggested getting a ThinQ smartphone app and possibly an LG TV remote app. The ThinQ app allows the user to link to various LG products in the home but was not a TV remote. Data entry was still a problem -- one error and we got to start again from the beginning. If all I wanted was TV, streaming, and premium channels, I was set. But the DVR from the cable-TV company (record to play back later) did not work. I suspected the cable-TV remote needed to be paired with the new-to-me LG UQ75. It was getting late. On the next day, I tried to pair the cable-TV remote and eventually got most of the function -- as long as the cable-TV DVR was plugged into HDMI-1, we could select TV programs, record, and playback. This seemed to be what I wanted. BUT could not navigate to Amazon Prime, Hulu, or Netflix using the cable-TV remote. A workaround we were able to master was to set the program source to LG channels when we wanted to use Amazon Prime, Hulu, or Netflix and then use the LG remote to select the premium channels. Using two remotes is undesirable; I plan to ask the cable-TV company for a better remote. For now, when we want to use the cable-TV channels and the DVR function, we select the HDMI-1 program source and use the cable-TV remote. When we want to use Hulu or Netflix, we select the LG (wireless internet) channels and then use the LG remote. I blame the cable-TV remote for not being able to entirely pair with the LG-43-UQ75. I blame the LG remote for a difficult-to-use input for user IDs and passwords when a smartphone app could easily input the required information. LG may have a better smartphone remote app but suggesting that the ThinQ app be the first one to try was not good. The LG UQ75 allows users to have on-screen prompts, audible prompts, limit to high definition only, and a host of maybe-we-will-look-at-features. The picture is sharp and can be seen in bright light conditions.

I purchased this TV for a bedroom we use at the wife's sisters' house in Las Vegas. We visit there every few months. Great price ($249). Great TV. I would have purchased the next size bigger (50 inch) but the cabinet it would have set on wasn't wide enough to support the legs. The TV has great color and when tied into the cable TV carrier in Vegas the display is perfect. The internal speakers are very good; no need for a Sound Bar. This is a good-priced TV for a bedroom or smaller room and is a great bargain during the Best Buy Black Friday sale.

Great picture, easy to set up. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is the remote control. It is not set up in a way that is easy to use. It is hard to find the buttons in full daylight, and next to impossible in the dark. I haven't tried using the app, because I have 2 of these TV's and only 1 can be supported on the app, so even if it works better it would only improve the experience in 1 room.

My brand-new LG 43" Class UQ75 4K Smart TV is better than the old one I have had for over 6 years. It's got Everything you want and I've put the Disksaver to see pictures and watch the videos I made. I like This New Smart Television and it's better than my old smart TV because of its bright look It also has 4K Images and graphics on Television and I also love to use it in My Soundbar. I also like the remote control to turn the TV and It's Awesome. I Would recommend to all of you to get the LG 4K Smart TV.

I'm no TV expert but this was such a snag of a deal. I placed it in our small loft upstairs and it was easy to mount. Wasn't heavy at all. Nice organized apps on the TV and even has instruction on how to set up your phone as a remote. Can also use voice control. I wouldn't necessarily use this for a main room TV or game room because the volume is just okay, but it is nice for small areas or bedrooms.

New 43” LG Television Outsmarted to Bypass “smart”

We purchased this television for our master bedroom. We had a 40” Samsung which was developing a bright spot in the picture. We did not want a “smart TV” but virtually everything is “smart” now. This television does not have a built in camera or microphone and does not have the voice controlled magic remote. THANK GOODNESS! We didn’t want any of those features. We were able to bypass any of the LG smart setup and were able to set an HDMI port to our Comcast Xfinity cable box. When we turn it on, it immediately goes to our Comcast box where we can control everything with the Comcast voice remote. We can set aside the LG remote to use for television specific settings.

Almost gave 5 stars due to price. Positives: Picture is excellent. Speakers are excellent as TV speakers go. Settings management is simple and intuitive. Has built-in browser. Technical support is OUTSTANDING. Price is great. Negatives: Remote is too small for functions and can hit wrong buttons easily. Most built-in LG channels have too frequent ads. Only one HDMI in port and one HDMI/ARC two-way port. Also one USB port. Will not support standard HDMI input for video (old analog DVD and VCR converter to HDMI), or digital to analog audio output to stereo (does not have PCM format needed.) Check user manuals for TV and outside devices for compatibility before buying if not sure.

Tv itself is great i love the function were it changes the screen size automatic when watching movies from apple tv or Amazon etc . the setting control is a headache that is minor word setting timer to shut off the tv takes 5 minutes the remote buttons are closely packed together suggest using thinq app for lg it is not the greatest but it makes fumbling thru setting much easier thinq when its updating its updating and you will not be able to access it till its done updating they do warn you in advance if the update finishes at 330 pm they mean 330 pm not 329 pm shifting between tv and apps is long wait at time that is the reason we took a star away for all remote and phone app remote aggravation
