Being able to turn it on through the app when we are on our way back home is amazing. It is not super quiet, also not very noisy, but it is definitely quieter that the one we had. And its a great value.

BB sent me the wrong AC, they sent model LW1017ERSM1 which is NOT slide-in chassis (and was a lower price). Sent back with notice, they sent the wrong one again. They were quick to pickup both wrong units and processed payment back.

Also, for a little white noise as well.. The unit doesn't seem to cool as well as the old unit that died but I could maybe get used to that. The reason for 1 star is, when you turn the unit off, it reverts back to a default setting of economy (which cycles the unit on and off throughout the night) and low fan speed. So every single time I turn it on at night I have to reset the unit to cool (run continuously) and a fan speed of high. For me, that is aggravating to have to do every single day. I understand it is for energy efficiency but it should my choice to save energy or not. If I had not already installed the unit when I found this out, I would return it.

Less than a year since I bought this AC, it started to leak water flooding my room. (many people complain about it)! They refuse to service the unit and have given me runaround for months - outrageous! Do yourself a favour and stay away from the LG products!

Didn't set it with Alexa yet. I don't see the point of it anyways. The app is very handy. My room gets cool in no time, Let's see what happens when the summer comes. Installation was quick'n-easy. It is a bit noisy compared with my last AC unit, but it's ok.

Best Buy fails to back up their products

I was not able to install it for a coupon weeks. When I finally installed it , it worked for a day. The next day I powered it on and it blew something internally then shut off and smelled hot. It won’t power back on. The return policy expired 2 weeks after my purchase and a couple days before I installed it. Best Buy will not exchange or return it.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I give this two stars as I have to have this set at 67 and the highest fan speed it should be freezing in living which is not a large room and it's just cool... also the clean filter came and when I pulled out to clean, it was not even dirty I brushed it clean with cloth and ran under water as instructed...but the clean filter light still stayed on...I needed to reset AC.

It uses about 25% less power than same BTU capacity units used just a few years ago. The disassembly/assembly assembly of the unit as per the instructions was a pain. This unit could have been built much simpler and it would have been fine. I have not tried it with the app for my phone. Overall, it works well, uses less power but be ready for some disassembly/re-assembly with this unit; it helps to have a second person to provide assistance.
