Within less than 2 months, a line of dead of dead pixels already appeared. In 6 months, another line had shown up. I was able to temporarily fix both lines by gently wiping the spots on the screen with microfiber cloth, but it only lasts for about 10 minutes before both dead pixel lines appear. Not the happiest camper with this screen. Hoping LG can provide a repair but I wouldn't recommend.

I recently purchased the LG 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV from Best Buy, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The standout feature for me is the breathtaking display – the colors are vibrant, and the contrast provided by OLED technology truly enhances the viewing experience. Equally impressive is the sound quality. The TV delivers an immersive audio experience, eliminating the need for external speakers. Whether I'm watching movies, playing games, or simply catching up on my favorite shows, the audio quality adds another layer of enjoyment to the overall entertainment package. The webOS Smart functionality makes navigating through apps and settings a breeze. The user interface is intuitive, and the TV responds promptly to commands. It seamlessly integrates with various streaming services, offering a wide range of content at my fingertips. The smart features, combined with the user-friendly interface, make this TV an excellent choice for both tech-savvy users and those who prefer a more straightforward setup. I order LG - 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV syria on NOV 23, 2023, Today is DEC 29, 2023. I found that this TV is on the right border, and there is a light fence from top to bottom. I tried to restart the TV, but the problem still existed. This is a new TV without any collisions or scratches. It has only been used for a month, and such a problem has occurred. I am very disappointed! I don't know if anyone else has encountered the same problem? I don't know whether to exchange or return the goods? Can anyone tell me?

We’ve only had the tv for less than 2 months and it’s already glitching and having issues. In addition, for being a smart tv it doesn’t have over half of the apps that we typically use so had to move our Fire Stick to this tv. Horrible tv for the price.

This was a great deal for Black Friday but now realizing an issue with the tv and it’s magic controller. I bought this as a second LG tv in for my man cave but been having nothing but issues having 2 LG tv’s in the same room. If I don’t find a fast resolution for this problem, I might just return it. The issue is that both older model lg tv and this recent new lg oled have the identical magic remote so when you turn one tv on it turn both tv’s on and scroll identical to the other tv. These controllers can’t detect with tv it belongs to!!! It’s a complete mess and I have tried every setting but nothing works!!! I basically gotta watch the same change on both Tv’s. If I shut one off manually, it fine but now when I shut it off the other tv goes on because it detects the power. Its a big headache!!!

TV became defective within 5 months of receiving it. Screen developed a thin blue vertical line visible on all channels/services. Blue line remains visible even when TV is turned off. Best Buy did NOT help as they stated it was past their defective product return window. Had to call LG directly to issue warranty service, which we are still awaiting as of this writing. Avoid this TV!

Budget Brilliance with a Few Caveats

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Picture Perfection: This is where the A2 truly shines. OLED technology delivers inky blacks, infinite contrast, and vibrant colors, creating a mesmerizing viewing experience. Watching movies in a dimly lit room is pure joy, with every detail and shadow coming to life. Even SDR content gets an impressive upscaling boost, making older favorites look surprisingly good. Gaming on a Budget: While not a dedicated gaming TV, the A2 handles casual gaming well. The input lag is impressively low, making fast-paced action feel responsive. However, the 60Hz refresh rate and lack of VRR (variable refresh rate) mean you won't be enjoying the smoothest gameplay on the latest consoles. Smart and Snappy: webOS remains one of the best smart TV platforms, offering a clean interface, intuitive navigation, and a vast selection of streaming apps. From Netflix and Disney+ to lesser-known gems, you'll have no shortage of entertainment options. The Magic Remote with its gyroscope control adds a fun layer of interactivity, making browsing and selecting content a breeze. Sound & Design: The built-in speakers are decent for everyday use, but if you crave immersive audio, a soundbar is highly recommended. The A2's slim design is undeniably attractive, adding a touch of modern sophistication to any living space. A Few Niggles: While the picture quality is undeniably impressive, the A2's peak brightness can't compete with some QLED rivals. This might be noticeable in well-lit rooms, especially with HDR content. Additionally, the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports means you'll miss out on some of the latest gaming features like ALLM (auto low latency mode) and eARC (enhanced audio return channel). The Final Say: The LG A2 OLED TV offers incredible picture quality and a user-friendly experience at an attractive price point. It's a fantastic choice for movie enthusiasts and casual gamers who prioritize stunning visuals and a smooth smart TV experience. However, if you're a hardcore gamer or crave the absolute brightest picture, you might want to consider alternatives with more bells and whistles.

Great OLED TV with plenty of features

This is the first OLED TV I have owned and it was a mistake because I think I am going to stick to OLED only from now on. The picture is much better than my Samsung Q60. The blacks are blacker and the screen is just phenomenal. Playing the XBox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch all seem look much better on this TV. My only complaint on this TV is that when you pause Netflix using the built-in app, it will show a screen saver after 5 minutes of being idle and then when you come back, there is a message on the screen asking to start screen restoration by turning the TV off for 5 minutes and it will start again when it's done. I have done this process but I still get the error message every time it goes idle. The default selection is yes to start the process and then the TV turns off. You can select No, it's just annoying to have to deal with and I haven't found a way to disable this. The LG app for this TV is amazing, better than the Samsung app even. The magic remote is a game changer too, I like being able to point the remote at the TV and control the cursor on the TV like a mouse and you can adjust the sensitivity for that too. LG OLED TVs are like Apple products, the best of the best. I got this TV 50% off during a Best Buy Total Tech support sale. I want the C2/C3 LG TVs but they are more expensive. I bought this to be a computer monitor as well, haven't used it as a monitor yet but I am sure it will be great. This TV would get a 5-star rating if it wasn't for that annoying message popping up after being idle.

    GREAT BEDROOM TV*NEED SLEEP BUTTON*

Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This review and the 5 stars is based off of how I am using the TV for late night viewing in my bedroom. ***So far my only NEGATIVE is that the remote does not have a SLEEP button, LG replace this with the 25 other buttons on the remote that no one uses.**** --HOWEVER the cool feature they do have is that you can set a timer for 7 days a week that will make the TV turn off at a certain time. I am using this and have it set for midnight which is generally a good time that I should be fast asleep and not annoy my dog and wife in the bed. So technically if you have a schedule this should more than suffice. I paid the extra hundreds(great black friday pricing 2022) for an OLED due to the need for it to be dark and the image to not be washed out. In my case I have this TV's brightness turned down to 29 and the reason is so my wife is not disturbed by a bright light in the bedroom. Now I can see the image pretty clear whereas with a LCD tv it would still have a glow in the room but the image would have contrast issues. Now this is a 60 Hz panel and honestly I think I prefer this over the 120Hz panels. Movement actually seems smoother to me than having options to add soap opera effects, etc. -SOUND is fantastic when you turn on the AI sound as an option. Game changer. -SOUND BLUETOOTH- Before I hooked up my Apple Airpods to amazon firestick but they would crackle, fade in/out and never sound good. Now I have them connected to the LG tv and they keep a solid connection and sound fantastic. Glad I went with this TV for my use. Now for some shows that were a little more action packed the movement seemed good. -- --Wife Factor-- She loves this TV more than the 24" LCD we replaced. It is less bright even though both were turned to a low brightness. Now the room doesn't have a glow on the white walls. Other than that TV is very responsive and worth the purchase.

This is a fantastic entry point into OLED. It is relativly afforable and regularly goes on sale. The only negative I can think of is the peak brightness isnt great. If you are putting this tv in a room with a lot of lighting or a lot of windows you may want to consider a c-series model.

I set up side by side and compared this to my samsung 8000 series led tv and the picture was basically the exact same for anything filmed in daytime or bright light. Then I turned on a sceme feom a reality show that was filmed at night time. The blacks in the background were noticibly darker and i definitely preferred the LG oled in that specific instance. Only thing is, not sure how often im watching shows shot in darkness or with low light. As for the tv remote, im not a big fan of the pointer showing up on the screen when youre aiming the remote at the tv. I also dont love scroll feature on the select button. I often accidently scroll to the right or left when just trying to select whatevers hilighted. Overall its a good tv with great picture and it was at an affordable price point for an OLED. Probably worth the money, but I suggest using this as a bedroom tv thats mostly used at night time since ambiant daytime lighting in a living room can also hinder the OLED capabilities from really being showcased.

Great OLED TV. This was my first OLED TV and love the LG quality so much I bought a 65" B4 which is a class up from this model. I still have a use this TV after 3 years and will continue to use it for a long time, picture and colors are crisp and clear. Only downside is brightness, but being the lowest end of LG OLED models, lower brightness is to be expe3cted.

At 48" this TV fits very nicely in a bedroom. As an OLED the picture is fantastic. The color and sharpness are incredible. And being al OLED, this TV is remarkably light. Set-up was easy. It recognized everything I plugged into the HDMI ports. If you are looking for a second TV or want to see just what OLED does, this TV makes a great starting point.

Even though this is one of the cheapest OLEDs around, the picture quality and build quality are both fantastic. I use this as a large format monitor for my PC and feel very productive with all the screen real estate. I do some gaming on it with a 3060 OC and while the refresh rate is limited to 60 Hz, that does not bother me at all. I love the deep blacks that only OLED can provide and everything just looks crisp. Games like Frostpunk and Cocoon look amazing. I'm very happy with this purchase.
