The best PC monitor for the price

Ok I was in the search of a new monitor to do my photoshop and video editing after not liking an ultrawide monitor works for my workflow a regular shape screen works much better for me, I did research about brands, technology, features and price , the choice narrow to only two models : Sony X85K and LG A2. Read the entire review on a great site (RTings.com) and according to them the A2 has better performance the only downside 60hz , for me, the 60 Hz its not a big deal since I just play games casually , I do have an high end PC and a high end Macbook but I use the for work mainly, the colors are amazing, is very smooth even at 60hz, this is the best monitor I have ever had hands down, I was not a fan of LG but after this , LG is my favorite brand for TVs now.

The value of what you get for the price of having OLED technology is one of the best I've seen. I will say that I am neither a videophile or audiophile but your regular consumer. The picture quality of this TV is amazing. Blacks are black and not pixelated looking like I've seen in older LED TV technology. The sound coming out of this thing was pretty good. If you using as a home theater, then maybe get the sound bar and bass speakers or surround sound, but for the built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos turned on, it sounded great and I often have to turn down the TV if watching at night because it is very loud. LG uses WebOS on this TV and it is snappy. The remote is amazing. I have full capability to punch in a TV channel number, integrate it with Alexa, use voice commands through the mic on the remote, have preprogrammed shortcut buttons for some of the most popular streaming services. The TV also has LG IP tv and and i nice TV guide to view them all in. I literally got hundreds of free channels. The internal OTA antenna on this is great. I was able to pick up so many more channels than my old Toshiba LED TV. The signal is strong so the channels do not become choppy or pixelated. There are an appropriate amount of inputs on the back of the TV, but I had an old Wii with RGB outputs and I had to buy a converter on Amazon which works ok but not as sharp through the conversion. It's something I can live with. The TV is super thin too and almost no bezel whatsoever on the screen. I would easily recommend this to anyone looking for the latest OLED technology and good featureset/sound for a great price.

THIS LG OLED TV IS INCREDIBLE! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I'M OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I SAW COLOR TV. IT WAS AROUND 1965-1966, AND IT WAS A ZENITH COLOR TV. I WAS AT MY UNCLE'S HOUSE, AND WE WERE WATCHING An NFL FOOTBALL GAME. I CAN ONLY REMEMBER ONE OF THE TEAMS PLAYING, IT WAS THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS. AND I REMEMBER SEEING THE BRIGHT RED JERSEYS THE KC CHIEFS WERE WEARING, AND THE GREEN GREEN GRASS OF THE FOOTBALL FIELD! AND NOW, ABOUT 60 YEARS LATER, I'M LOOKING AT AN LG OLED DISPLAY IN BEST BUY, AND I'M JUST AS ASTONISHED AS I WAS WHEN I SAW MY FIRST COLOR TV, ABOUT 60 YEARS AGO! THE LG OLED PICTURE IS TRULY AMAZING! NOW, THAT RED KC CHIEFS' JERSEY IS REALLY RED! THE BLACKS ARE SO DEEPLY BLACK! THE DETAIL AND PRECISION OF THIS LG OLED TV ARE AS CLOSE TO PERFECT AS YOU CAN GET! I'VE NEVER ENJOYED WATCHING MOVIES AND SPORTS AS MUCH AS I DO NOW THAT I'VE PURCHASED AN LG OLED TV! I CAN'T EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW MUCH I LOVE MY NEW LG 48" CLASS A2 OLED TV. AND IM SO GLAD LG OFFERS A LOWER PRICE OPTION, FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME. USUALLY, LOWER PRICE MEANS LOWER QUALITY. THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE HERE! IM NOT INTERESTED IN GAMING AT ALL. THEREFORE, I DON'T NEED ALL THE GAMING TECH OF THE HIGHER-PRICED LG CLASS C2. THAT, COMBINED WITH THE FACT I LIVE IN A SMALL APARTMENT, THE 48" SCREEN SIZE FITS IN NICELY. ALL THAT ALLOWS ME TO HAVE THE EXCEPTIONAL HIGH QUALITY OF AN LG OLED TV, I IM ABLE TO AFFORD! THEREFORE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LG 48" CLASS A2 OLED TV FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME. AS LITTLE AS 1 YEAR AGO, I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD AN LG OLED TV. BUT THANKS TO LG & BEST BUY, I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE AN LG 48" CLASS A2 OLED TV. IM A HUGE FAN OF "STAR WARS" & "MARVEL" MOVIES. AND NOW, IT'S LIKE IM WATCHING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME! THANK YOU, LG AND BEST BUY!

I still can’t believe the price on this TV. With absolutely no regrets, this is by far an exceptional TV with deep blacks and rich, vibrant colors. The response speed is most impressive when opening streaming apps. There’s no latency. The only con is the remote. I solved that with the $10 GE universal remote that is backlit. It works flawlessly with this TV and all its functions. If you’re considering this purchase don’t hesitate any longer. It is well worth it.

I purchased a Hisense U7K 55in in BF. The eARC start to fail in a couple of days, I returned it and get the 48 LG A2 for $550 no matter it was smaller. This is a real tv, the TV recognized my Roku Stick, my cable box and my Polk Soundbar and now I can use LG remote control for everything. I’m not using webOS because Roku is better and the TV is configured to be default to Roku hdmi input when turn on. Picture quality and blacks are excellent, sports looks really good with no lagging. If this tv is not for gaming and will not be used in a very bright room is a bang for the bucks. Many Youtubers and bloggers recommends Hisense and TCL because high specs but the reality is the quality is not there.

We absolutely LOVE our LG A-Series OLED TV! Fantastic picture quality, perfect, all-the-way-around viewing angles, impressive sound (for a TV), accurate colors, and LG's OS is smooth and easy to use. It's just such a pleasing TV to watch and use. Can't believe we got it at such a great, sale price at BestBuy, too! Icing on the cake.

I bought this to use with streaming services and so far it's been perfect. I expect that to continue. The picture is amazing -- just note it may not be great in bright rooms. I have it in a room with no overhead lights and all lights and the window are behind it. This A2 is setup right next to a 55" Samsung Q80T (used as a monitor) and the black levels are night and day in dark viewing. The only thing I wish is that it came in a smaller size like the C2. This 48" barely fits the space it's in, but I'm getting used to it. Now the Black Friday price . . . that was a perfect fit. The remote is annoying though. Give me a Play button!

Absolutely the best picture quality on a TV that I have ever seen! Downsized from a TCL 65" Roku TV that was simply too big for the room. Got this TV from Best Buy at about half of its original MSRP, and WOW! What a bargain!! Using this TV with a Roku Streaming Stick 4K, and it truly gives a brilliant picture when streaming 4K content. Setup was easily done, and after experimenting with the various presentation modes, I am using Vivid. The picture just seems to pop off the screen. Hooked up to Bose One soundbar, but even before I connected that, I was impressed wit the sound coming from the built-in speakers. Very pleased with this purchase.

    Great upgrade from LCD

Replaced my 55in LG LCD tv with uneven bightness and poor backlight uniformity. The 48in OLED is a step up in every way and does not seem to use PWM flickering to lower brightness levels. While some complaints could be made about overall brightness, i tend to find even with indirect lighting, and minor glare doesn't destroy the picture quality, nor does it need to be in a picth black room to be seen easily. So with a bright vibrant screen and great color accuracy, audio out in two forms, and 3 hdmi ports whats not to like? The screen is only 60hz but for most content is being made in 4K 60hz, I dont see this as a problem for video content. Games look clear and with great colors as well, playing retro games in 4:3 aspect ratio (or nonstandard ratios) are great on this display due to the true blacks that the OLED produces. Overall for more or less $600, it seems to have the opportunity to be a best in class choice over other TVs in this same price range.

    My first UHD TV.

This is my first purchase of a 4K/UHD TV, so I really can't provide an objective review. I first looked at offerings at W*Mart, and found an LG UQ7070 (55") set that I thought looked very good overall. Then a friend asked if I had looked at TV's with OLED technology. W*Mart doesn't sell OLED in-store, so I went to Best Buy, ended-up buying the 48" A2 model at the $550 price ($200 more than the 55" LG set at W*Mart) and hoped I wouldn't be disappointed. Now that I've had a chance to use the A2 for a few weeks, my impression is mostly favorable. First thing that caught my eye is that the TV's legs are made of metal. That left a good first impression. Other reviewers have said that WebOS and the Magic Remote have a learning-curve. This is definitely true. It took several hours before I felt comfortable using it. Example: to select an Input, you must press the mouse button, hover the pointer on-screen to the input source that you want, then click OK. For OTA broadcasts, I would say that the A2 is no better or worse than what we had before. But for streaming content: Netflix, Amazon Prime, Roku Channel, Pluto TV, etc., the picture quality is noticeably better. But I attribute that more to the set being UHD, not the OLED panel. I found that the A2's remote can control my Roku-4 and Vizio Blu-Ray player, both of which are very old. One problem: We used a Vizio soundbar on our old TV, which lacks an HDMI-In jack. When I attempted to connect the fiber-optic cable between the soundbar and the A2, I was unable. There was a LOT of deflection of the optical jack, and I was afraid to exert more pressure for fear of breaking something inside the case. So for the time-being, I'm using the soundbar connected to the optical-jack on my Roku4. Not sure if this is an issue with my cable, so I'm going to visit the store and talk with the manager who sold me the set before I attempt again. I was disappointed to see lack of RCA inputs (I have a Mini-DV camcorder from 2006), but that's not unique to LG. I bought an adapter from Amazon for $10. A potential problem could be support. Reading their replies to other reviews, it appears LG Support is only available through Facebook or Twitter/X. Well, that's great if you subscribe to those platforms. I have no interest in social media, so I hope there's telephone or website support if I need it. My conclusion: If high contrast and perfect blacks are what you look for, then you'll want a TV with an OLED panel. At the moment (January 2024), the 48" A2 is the only choice at the $600 price, and it's pretty darn good for an entry-level set. But: there are QLED TV's at this price-point (and much less), from TCL or the Roku Plus series look VERY good, have brighter and larger screens, and other tech features - such as VRR - that the A2 lacks. I don't buy TV's often, but for $200, I felt the LG brand and OLED screen was worth paying extra for, even if the screen is smaller than I intended to buy.

OLED does not disappoint. After years of buying bigger and bigger UHD tv's thinking quality would improve, I finally realized you have to buy better technology to get better picture. All tv's are not the same! Also, it is nearly impossible to find an OLED for under a thousand bucks! Feel like I robbed LG and BestBuy. Thanks! Forget QLED, QNED, UHD, Mini-LED, blah blah blah. OLED is worth the cost.

A great TV for a great deal. I got it for $650 on Labor Day and it was worth every penny. Smaller display with fantastic clarity that I have in my living room. I plan on buying a bigger TV from LG once they go on sale as well. If I had the money I would buy another one right away! It has great accessibility and is easy to use. I like it more than the competing Samsung or Sony TV's for the price.

My 43" 10 year old LG was starting to get a bit hard to watch in a bright room (was still nice in a darker room), so I promised my self a new set for my Christmas present to me. I torn between 2 TVs in my price range, when I stumbled on this one. I couldn't believe the price. i didn't think I could afford an OLED in my price range, but it didn't take me 5 minutes to decide to purchase this TV. Picture is stunning right out of the box, but obviously needs tweaking to personal taste. There are tons of picture and audio adjustments, enhancements and modes that it will take me a while to run through them all (only have had this set for about 10 days). One of the deal breakers when looking for a TV was that it needed to perform in a bright room. This TV looks great in a bright room, as well as a dark room. The sound is decent out of the box, and there are many modes and adjustment you can make to suit your taste, although I run off an LG soundbar, and it even gives you the option, if you have an LG soundbar, to run the sound through the soundbar AND the TV speakers. Set up was very easy and the initial set-up when I first turned it on was only about 30 minutes. Bottom line is that the picture is absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend this set, especially for the price

I purchased this to use as a computer monitor and it has been spectacular for the task. The contrast is jaw dropping and the picture looks as good as my 55 inch LG C1. It is only 60 hertz, but I don't need more than that for this computer. SO if you don't need 120 or higher hz, this is an incredible picture for the money.

This is my first OLED, and it truly is incredible. The color on it is just beautiful. My only annoyance is the remote has this annoying feature where it wants you to treat it as a wii remote, aiming it at the screen to select stuff with a pointer. This selection mode activates if you move the remote to much, or even wiggle it a little. No way to deactivate it, but when the curser appears I simply click an arrow direction to get rid of it. I also found some of the "smart" audio and picture selecting to be annoying. It would basically try to switch to different video/audio settings based on the app, which would make the experience fluctuate. Finally, I found it annoying that it tries to save the video/audio per app. So I'd have to set the video/audio settings every time I open a new app and try to get them to match. I believe I found the setting to turn this off, but was annoying for a bit. Overall, amazing picture quality. The speakers can sound a little washed out during very loud scenes sometimes, but are mostly fine for tv speakers. A good TV!

Overall, I've been happy with the TV. The picture and sound are good, though I am far from an audiophile. I particularly do not like the remote, especially when it turns into the mouse (magic remote). I may consider disabling that feature permanently - hopefully this post works for this tv https://www.bestbuy.com/site/questions/lg-65-class-oled-b7a-series-2160p-smart-4k-uhd-tv-with-hdr/5935272/question/93f07a4a-d6fd-36e2-9c2b-1f03edc4238f. I also am not a gamer, so don't really notice any issues with the 60Hz refresh rate.

Review of 48 inch LG A2 series OLED

Outstanding picture quality. I haven't pulled the film off yet and it still looks great. Video is better when streaming over the network than going thru the cable box. Had no idea all the stuff a smart TV could do. Some of the operations over the internet are a little slow compared to what a laptop can do. I imagine a later series TV with a more powerful processor would be quicker. I wish there was one more HDMI port (there are only 3). I keep the sound turned down so that I don't disturb the neighbors, so I can't really comment on the sound other than it sounds fine to me. I was thinking of returning it to get a later series TV in a larger size, but I'll probably just keep this one. $550 for this set is an awfully good buy.
