Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the superb picture quality, rich colors, and ease of use of the 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. Many appreciate the OLED technology and the TV's lightweight design, making it easy to wall-mount. However, some users find the refresh rate and remote control less than ideal, and a few have expressed concerns about the user interface and operating system. The price point is frequently praised as a significant advantage.

Review of 48 inch LG A2 series OLED

Outstanding picture quality. I haven't pulled the film off yet and it still looks great. Video is better when streaming over the network than going thru the cable box. Had no idea all the stuff a smart TV could do. Some of the operations over the internet are a little slow compared to what a laptop can do. I imagine a later series TV with a more powerful processor would be quicker. I wish there was one more HDMI port (there are only 3). I keep the sound turned down so that I don't disturb the neighbors, so I can't really comment on the sound other than it sounds fine to me. I was thinking of returning it to get a later series TV in a larger size, but I'll probably just keep this one. $550 for this set is an awfully good buy.

What a great entry level 48 OLED 4k TV ! It’s definitely an improvement over last years A1 and at the Black Friday price of $569 well worth it. I did not buy this TV to be a primary TV . I bought it for my bedroom and yet I am still amazed at the picture quality for that price. I have a LG 55 B9 OLED in my living room and this TV comes real close to the picture quality of the larger full HDMI 2.1 120HZ TV Though it does not have HDM 2.1 or 120 refresh. I am not trying to use this as a gaming TV or computer monitor. It’s a bedroom TV and for the money a deal that could not be beat. I will say when it is at the non sale price you might want to consider a C2 48 which is a better TV. It really all comes down to what you pay for it. The Black Friday price made it a simple choice.

Great budget Oled every TV in my house is an Lg Oled 77 & 65 C models & two 48 A2 models in my bedroom & nine-year-old son room has the 48” A2 models. 2019 was my 1st Oled i’ve never had an issue with burning or any issues with any of the TVs knock on wood. I’ll leave the TV paused for extended periods of time never had an issue they just work that’s all I can say. Gaming movies, beautiful picture my 77 inch is in a room with bay window no issues I can always see the picture just fine The TV is bright. If you can afford it and it’s the main TV you’re gonna watch I would suggest a C model since it is brighter and just little better but u can’t go wrong with any LG Oled model cause the cheaper A2 is still stunning. Telling u there is no other choice then Oled & LG THEY BEEN MAKING THIS PANEL FOR MANY MANY YEARS!

Pretty amazing bang for your buck. I'm not the kinda person to make a quick purchase without doing some research but when I do get it, I'm convicted. Picture quality is excellent. Of course you can't beat Sony's Bravia processing but the images coming out of this is crispy. More importantly, LG has a dead pixel warranty for quite a long time. If you don't know about this, you should read up on it. I purchased mine for $600 which is honestly a steal, considering 55 inch OLEDs usually go for way more than 1k. Also LGs user interface for their apps is very good and smooth. The remote acts as a pointer so you don't have to keep clicking on some stupid remote 10000 times. Brightness was pretty good. Viewable in a bright room so no problem but I obviously wouldn't put this outside in the sun. Sound was decent! I never use any TVs internal speakers but from what I heard I was surprised. I still don't use it haha

What a great picture. Found this $1299 48” smart TV on sale after Christmas for only $579.00. Fits perfectly into our arm-our, easy set up, had all the inputs I needed, including an optical to use with our LG soundbar. Can’t wait to see more 4K content on this beauty.

Bought this TV when Best Buy slashed the price. Literally got the last unit and even though it was open box “fair condition “ TV looked brand new. There was a tiny little scratch on top of the frame (hardly noticeable) but that didn’t bother me. As for the TV itself, it looks great, beautiful deep black colors, the only thing that I personally would like is a bit more brightness. But overall great value and quality TV. I also purchased extended 3 year warranty (kicking in after manufacturing warranty expires after 1 year) so I have it covered for 4 years which is great. Speakers sound is good so I do not use sound bar and the magic controller is love it or hate it. I have another LG TV so I’m used to it, but some people that used it for the first time hate it.

It’s a OLED and it’s made by LG! Not sure what else needs to be said. In all seriousness, this is my 2nd TV from LG and my first that’s a OLED an have the Magic Remote, a let me just say.. it’s beautiful. I’ve always heard that OLED’s are some of the best looking displays and boy they’re not lying. I bought the 48in for my Office/Gaming Den an it requires 2 people to mount it safely. The speakers are fantastic (for a TV speaker anyhow), they get decently loud as well. If had to leave one negative comment about the TV, it’s about the remote. I find the “Wii” aspect of the magic remote a little too sensitive. If I just jiggle it even the slightest amount, I’m now using a Wii remote to control my TV. Don’t get me wrong, it works really good but it’s a little too sensitive for my taste.

The OLED picture and slim design are fantastic. But the user interface is really annoying. It's cluttered and hard to navigate. It's annoying that the main button of the remote doubles as the okay button and scroll wheel. I'm constantly activating the mouse pointer because of it. And the absolute WORST part of the TV is the TruMotion (aka soap opera effect) is turned on by default and is intentionally buried in the menus, making it hard to find and turn off. I've turned it off several times now but it seems to keep turning back on. Hopefully a future update will improve this. Overall I wouldn't say it's worth the extra money.

Great picture and easy to use. I had an older LG model and I liked the improvements they made to the user interface. I decided to go with this over QNED or QLED because I felt the contrast was better when looking at them in the store.

So far, I am really enjoying the LG - 48" Class A2 Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. The colors are vibrant, and the clarity is excellent. While I prefer using a sound bar, the TV's audio was decent. The setup process was straightforward, and I loved the QR code shortcuts. However, there are two things I am not satisfied with. First, I would prefer it if the TV opened my preferred streaming service immediately upon being turned on. Secondly, the home page contains all the apps, live TV, and other commercial like stuff, features that I do not use. I want to customize the page to only include frequently used applications like the sleep timer. Having a direct selection on the home page would be much more convenient. Despite these concerns, I like this TV.

Absolutely wonderful picture, especially if you take time to go through all the settings and optimize them. The OLED technology is truly amazing for contrast and there is no glare whatsoever on the screen - remarkable! The sound is great as well (although I output the audio to a Vizio soundbar). I like the remote with on-screen pointer, which makes it SO much easier to enter data, etc. You'll get used to it. It was bit tricky vetting the remote to recognize my sound bar, but LG support helped to sort that out. I love this TV and there is nothing anywhere near this price point (sale prices) that even comes close. Unless you are a gaming fanatic who demands ultimate perfection in response, you will have no issues with this unit. Some reviews claim that it has limited brightness, but honestly, I cannot see any issues here.

I love this TV! The OLED system is a huge improvement over the 12 year old TV it replaced. I always research any purchases and I was pleased to learn that internet reviews were good. It was also highly recommended when I checked it out on Consumer Reports. If my budget would have allowed, I would definitely consider the LG C series which is higher quality as well as a larger screen. For my purposes, the C2 is definitely acceptable, screen size fits my small space perfectly, and the operation and set up is very easy! One thing to note-- if you are replacing an older, wall mounted TV, I would recommend checking out the type of mounting system before leaving the store. I had to make a return trip to get an updated mounting system to fit this TV-- something that is standard on newer models, but my old flat screen mounting system was not compatible. My local Best Buy had the type of mount I needed in stock at a great price, though.

I’ve always wanted to try an OLED tv and this sale made it an easy decision. The contrast levels and colors look better than any other tv I have purchased. Black levels live up to the hype, too. Still dialing in my preferred settings, but it gets bright enough for my room even at 60-80 on the OLED brightness setting. For gaming? My PS5 looks incredible and I love how it handles motion and the lack of dirty screen effect is great. The cheap price made buying the 5 year warranty a steal, too.

The picture quality is amazing. My old set was a high def unit but this one is on a whole new level. It was a snap to set up and get hooked up to my FIOS input as well as the DVD player. It took me a bit to get used to the new remote but once that was out of the way it's been very nice.

I’m in love with this TV! Pros: - Best picture quality - Slim and sleek design - Easy to use operating system - Functional remote - Works with HomeKit - Good built in speakers w/ Dolby Atmos Cons: - The operating system can be a little slow Overall, I would highly recommend this tv! I can live with the OS being a little slow here and there. All the other amazing features make up for it. The OS can probably be sped up with a simple software or firmware update too.
