The OLED quality and unbeatable price point are also well-received. My Review of the LG 48-inch Class B4 OLED 4K TV

I’ve been really impressed with the LG 48-inch Class B4 OLED 4K TV. The picture quality is excellent, with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and sharp details that make movies, shows, and games look amazing. The OLED panel really stands out, especially in dark scenes where the contrast looks incredible. Overall, this TV delivers excellent performance and premium picture quality. It’s a great choice if you want an OLED experience in a slightly smaller size.

One of my moms favorite things to do: Watch TV

My mom got this TV after I upgraded my TV to the LG 55". She is 86 and in independent living so her 3 favorite things to do: She watches TV, sleeps and plays Bingo. All make her very happy. She says after years of watching The Big Bang Theory on her old TV... This LG UHD TV is like watching the series in a whole new light... She says she can't believe the colors and the quality. I tried to talk her into a larger screen but she wanted the 48". She tells me almost every day how happy she is with the new TV.

I purchased this LG 48" OLED TV 4K UHD to serve as a replacement monitor for a 42" 4K LED unit I had been using as a computer monitor for 3-4 years. What a difference in picture quality. Text in word processing and spreadsheet programs is so much more distinctive and easier for these old eyes to read. The accuracy of colors I see on the OLED screen make photo editing pleasurable because printed images come out looking like they were intended to.

Any oled is better than 90% of non-oled

Do yourself a favor if you want a oled experience this here is the cheapest option for gaming, and viewing content. Any oled will be better than any non oled. It’s a different experience. The only negative is that it doesn’t get brighter enough in a very lit room with sun. In the morning, evening, and night it looks beautiful.

Money and Size and picture quality can’t be beat. Was waiting to see what was going to drop this year after I skipped on last years 60hz only option for this size. The B series handles 120hz and picture is sharp and bright. This went into my sons room

TV is thicker at the bottom which was initially a turn off for me. I even visited the store again to look at other options but decided to keep them (I bought two). I bought two other cheaper LG TVs for other rooms and liked their thin design. I was instantly impressed after turning these on. Picture is great and so is the sound. Apparently the thickness towards the bottom of the TV allowed them to have decent speakers. The thinner TVs that I initially liked had horrible audio.

This is my second OLED and was 1/2 the price. Phenomenal picture, controls are intuitive, and the TV really makes colors and depth shine. I use it for movies and gaming and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Came from using a samsung and I couldn’t be happier. Both tv are great. Controller is a little bulky on the lg. But love the mouse pointer on it. And the Dolby sounds wonderful. Would recommend for a mid grade OLED.

Beautiful picture, couldn't be happier with this purchase. After upgrading my computer monitor to OLED, any display juat seems inferior. So, the house TVs were due for upgrades. This 48" LG is perfect for the bedroom. I have a 25ft HDMI connected to my office PC running a NVDIA 4080. Games run smooth at 120mhz and look awesome. TV was on sale for 599, and before my 14 day return ended, Best Buy dropped it another 50 to 549. BB was good enough to price match and refunded me the difference. This is why I buy all my electronics here.

Great OLED TV for Gaming in Small Spaces

The LG 48-inch OLED B4 has been a great addition to our household. I've purchased two of these. One is a gaming TV in a relatively small space for the family. The second is a replacement for a bedroom TV. I'd recommend that a lot of folks would do better for themselves by getting a smaller, higher-quality TV that is an OLED like this one, than a larger, lower-quality display technology. In both my cases, the size was a worthy trade-off for the better picture quality at the price point. It's an especially good prospect when on sale.

Had it for a month so far. Absolutely loving it. I wish I could have splurged for the 55' version but....alas. The black levels are deep, the colors pop off the screen, and gaming on this thing is a revelation. You can't find a better OLED for $750. Highly recommended.

I purchased this TV for use as a large-screen computer monitor. While generally the TVs suffer from issues when used as a monitor, in my research, the OLED TVs have sufficient refresh rates. Indeed, this device provides excellent picture, and I would have been very happy with this set in my application, were it not for one (major) flaw. The issue is that this model (I am not sure about other LG OLED models) forces auto-dimming of the screen if the picture does not sufficiently change over time. So if you are reading a document on the screen, or even typing something, the TV perceives it as basically a static picture, and the screen starts dimming, ostensibly to protect the panel. Having paid for the set (and understanding the risk of the pixel burn-out) I want to be able to make a conscious decision to prioritize the current quality of the picture over the long-term longevity. However, there is NO WAY TO DISABLE THE AUTO-DIMMING. As a result, avery few minutes I have to move the window around with my mouse, in order for the screen brightness to be resotred. This is extremely annoying and impacts productivity. In doing research, it appears that there used to be a way to disable auto-dimming, but recent firmware updates have removed this option. While this set produces very good quality picture for full-screen TV images (and probably gaming), without auto-dimming, I mostly usethis large-screen for running business applications. so that the auto-dimming bug is a serious issue for me. I believe LG should not be preventing the users from modifying the settings of the TV they paid for to make it most suited to their application. This is not a car which, when modified incorrectly, may become dangerous, so taking away owner's ability to disable auto-dimming is plain wrong.

I was reviewing a bunch of OLED's before settling on LG's B4 and it was worth it. You dont need to go for the super expensive ones. This will definitely more than get the job done for all of your movie, sports, and video game needs. Tje differemce in those other OLEDs is marginal especially if your thinking about getting the C4. Save yourself some money. If your looking for a great inexpensive OLED the B4 is your answer!

tl:dr - great picture complimented by AI, too bad it doesn't help smart TV functionality Bought this through a Black Friday deal (under $600) to upgrade to a TCL LED and well-worth it. The picture is fantastic and the AI does an great job upscaling lower resolution content, may it be from video sources (Dish @ 1080) or game consoles (games look great on a PS4 and Nintendo Switch). The 48" works great in a small room - it's well-lit with a southern exposure That said, the webOS isn't really user-friendly, bothersome to navigate (hate the cursor), and is ad-heavy. I use an Apple TV 4K to handle streaming and other smart TV functions as it doesn't have ads. Also consider a soundbar or other audio device for sound output as the built-in speakers are just ok

Picture is amazing. Deep blacks and vivid colors. The smart interface is meh, as is the remote. Difficult to set up with confusing descriptions. Using Roku a bit of a pain. Frequently makes you go back through the LG interface first.

I absolutely love the TV and the price is an amazing entry point. To be completely transparent with you, the remote has a scroll wheel like a computer mouse and it bugs the crap out of me. If I could disable it I would give 5 stars. The panel is great and the speakers are good. Nothing insanely special but not worst or best I've heard in TV. I really do appreciate the multi display function. I can watch YouTube as my wife plays Fortnite on the same TV! No more waiting till the other is done with the TV. Overall, highly recommend this and would definitely buy again!

Reason I like this OLED is if you're not playing anything and its on it'll go into a kind of dim mode. You're not supposed to leave a OLED on static picture for long period of time. The colors are vivid and the blacks are actually black, not a dark grey when you watch movies or play games. I mostly use this to game, it does have a lot of channel features which is always a plus.
