Beautiful OLED screen, clunky interface. Says it's google Chromecast, but clearly is not. Magic remote is neat concept but ends up feeling gimmicky in every day use. Still, was a good value buy.

This tv is nice and I got it for half off, I upgraded from a 2017 UHD 4K LG tv. The wall mount fit the new one perfect. I am absolutely shocked at how bad the sound quality is. It sounds terrible. Sounds muffled and cheap. My old tv did not have this issue. Apparently when they make thinner TVs the worse the sound? Also taking this out of the box and hanging it was scary. I thought the screen would break. You must hold it from the bottom. Looks like I’ll be buying a soundbar to pair. Good thing I saved all that money.

Worst experience ever with Best Buy

I purchased this TV on sale last week, intending to buy it used, like new. However, upon receiving the package, I was dismayed to find it in a deplorable state. Despite my hopes, the TV itself appeared to be in fair condition.
Regrettably, the TV was scratched and damaged due to the poor packaging. The plug had rubbed against the screen, leaving large marks.
When I reached out to Best Buy for assistance, I was met with complete disregard and lack of support. They refused to facilitate an exchange, contradicted their previous statements about the possibility of doing so at the store, and denied my request to purchase a new unit at the sale price that had been available for ten days since my purchase. I ended up just returning the unit.
I am deeply disappointed and appalled by the service and experience I received from Best Buy. I sincerely hope that they will rectify this situation and demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Hi, Wittlee. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG TV (OLED48B4PUA) model. We understand how concerning it can be to notice a burn-in mark on your screen. OLED TVs are designed to deliver exceptional picture quality, but extended exposure to static images or logos can sometimes cause image retention. To address this, we recommend running the "Pixel Refresher" feature in the settings, which can help minimize or eliminate the burn-in mark. For more information, you may visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-tv-troubleshooting-image-burnin--20152745607830.
If the issue persists, we’d like to assist you further. Please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and our team will explore additional options to help. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’re here to support you. ^Juvy

I’ve had this tv for a couple of months now, I’ve put it through its paces and it continues to amaze me. I purchased this for the spare bedroom, so that I can play my video game console on it. This OLED tv has amazing image quality. I was expecting some type of compromises because of its lower price point and because LG has higher tier OLED tvs on the market. But I can assure you that there are very little compromises with this television. Each HDMI input supports 4k 120hz display. With one HDMI having ARC capability. I connected my PS5 to this tv and every game looks amazing. Blacks are dark , colors are very vibrant and bright. It has an amazing contrast ratio, and the 120hz refresh rate works flawlessly with my PS5. There is no input lag, games feel very responsive with this tv. I’ve accidentally left the television on overnight a couple of times and there is no burn in issues. The tv will put on a screen saver that changes and refreshes itself every few seconds. The speakers in this tv are also loud and sound good. There is no need for a soundbar with this television if you will just be using it in a small bedroom. Unless you want the loud movie theater type sound. The built in speakers sound very good to my ears. LG web os is very snappy and intuitive to use. I also see no need to use any sort of smart tv device to stream media. The built in OS and software is very good. If you are interested in buying this tv, I can assure you that you will love it. This was just supposed to be a spare tv for me to game on, and it’s become my most used tv in our home.

Bottom line: Great TV and a great buy when on sale. You'll want a soundbar.
The LG B4 48" is a great TV, especially for its price when on sale, but it falls short from being a premium product like the C or G series.
The less good:
- Sometimes there is a blooming effect, a halo around bright areas surrounded by black. It's subtle but definitely noticeable. It's visible on the TV's default screensaver. It's not always noticeable when watching a show or movie.
- The TV does a poor job upscaling lower resolution to 4K and yes, I did some research and played with all the settings. An Apple TV device fixes that issue for me. This tells me that the processor in the TV is old and not very good, although the TV's features list is very respectable.
- The sound is not good at all. It definitely needs a soundbar.
- There is no auto adjust of brightness, viewing setting, or the blue light filter according to the light in the room. So if you view this TV in a room with a window during the day and a dark room during the night, then you'll have to go into the TV's setting and change the thing every single time. My 5 year old middle-of-the-way Samsung does it automatically.
- I don't view it from the side, so cannot comment on that.
- the build and materials quality is not amazing, but adequate.
The good:
- This TV is a treat. The picture quality is great. The blacks are still very black albeit occational blooming. LG definitely know what they're doing in the OLED department.
- The colors are vivid. Not C2 or newer vivid, but not bad at all. Far more than acceptable.
- The TV is plenty bright for me.
- Supports a bunch of quality sound and picture quality formats.
- There is a setting for reducing blue light, although it would be nice if that was adjustable since it dramatically changes the picture settings. At times it's too much.
The great:
- The price. This TV was priced very reasonably by BestBuy when it went on sale. I ordered a 55" Hisense U8 but then discovered that this cost even less so I canceled my order and got this instead.
- The picture quality that OLED offers is amazing, even if this TV isn't in the same league as the C and G series LF OLED TVs. That said, different technologies have turned much cheaper TVs into much better products, so its about time OLED manufacturers got a run for their money.
- The 48" size is great for a smaller room.
- Even though the 4K upscaling disappoints, this TVs specs are great. I haven't gamed on it but it's more than just capable in latency, frame rate, brightness, contrast, and adjustability. This might be the TV that shifts OLED TVs from a novelty to mainstream.
