Fantastic Entry-Level OLED

Absolutely fantastic OLED TV - If you're looking for excellent color and spectacular contrast, OLED is the way to go and this LG B5 OLED is usually the most price-competitive option available.
It's got 4 HDMI ports, one with ARC, standard TV antenna input, optical audio out (useful if those 4 HDMI inputs are otherwise busy!) as well as several USB ports and Ethernet. Wi-Fi is included too of course. WebOS is a suitable interface, and the new processor on this one as compared to previous generations of WebOS TVs means that moving through the interface is much smoother and more strenuous activities like web browsing & web apps are much more pleasant to use. Picture-in-picture is a fantastic addition even in its current limited state. You can comfortably play a game and put a podcast/YouTube video on through your TV. Unfortunately, it's not practical for much else beyond that. The remote, too, is almost spartan. Expect a lot of clicking around through a somewhat byzantine settings interface when you want to tweak settings to improve latency on your connected game consoles and change them back to turn upscaling back on later.
Contrast is like nothing else you'll see at the price point this TV hangs around. Even the darkest scenes are clearly defined and despite what one might expect the TV is still capable of spectacular brightness. The color is again, fantastic, and when given an opportunity to shine with high-bitrate content the TV really does.
Now, to really take proper advantage of this panel, you need to be streaming everything in 4K and using 4K discs where possible. Otherwise, you'll be missing out on what you're paying for. The audio itself is not great, but it's a thin and small TV so that cannot be expected. Absolutely worth a buy and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I needed a new tv for my RV and this was the largest one I could use. Fits like a glove and the picture is so much better than I expected at this price point. Super happy with it.

These B5 LG OLEDSwere exactly what I was looking for to enhance my sim racing experience. Upgraded from 32 inch 1440p monitors and couldn’t be happier. Wasn’t sure if I would regret not getting C5s, but in my dark room, I do not think I would be able to tell the difference. Everything hasn’t worked perfected with display port to hdmi adapters - 4k at 120hz with VRR enabled. Only negative with this TV so far is that the OS is a little slow, but luckily once they are set up, I don’t really have any need to access the menu system or even use the remote. Highly recommend!

Excellent tv, I can see amazing colors plus I can actually see movies that are primarily dark, no more weird light shadows. Oled is the way to go!

First OLED tv for me and found out what the hype was all about! Beautiful picture, the AI settings adds to the experience, great for gaming (which is what I use it for). The different pictures modes helps for what watching I.e sports, movies, tv shows, etc… Always been an LG fan and will continue to be with this tv. Worried about burn in’s with OLED but the tv settings will filter still picture to prevent burn in’s. Lastly I couldn’t argue with the price, 100% recommend!!

Fantastic picture and sound is great even without a sound bar. It’s lightweight and was easy to assemble the stand. Easy to set up and watch apps. Remote has a point feature which I like.

This is my first dip into OLED TVs for gaming. If the 120hz display isn't captivating enough, may I interest you in the deep color presentation?

it has everything needed for modern gaming console. The main tv screen is a bit of a mess to navigate if you’re trying to switch apps or inputs. the speakers are kinda bad so you’ll need a soundbar

This LG OLED TV is an absolute game-changer. For the price, you get a lot of features. I bought mine two weeks before Black Friday, and it was even cheaper then. It has vibrant colors and amazing sound quality. It works flawlessly straight out of the box, and it’s an absolute game-changer when used as a monitor or for gaming.

This is by far the most beautiful TV I've ever purchased. The picture quality is superb with excellent blacks! Colors are vivid and stunning whether you watch it in dark/light room. The speaker is quite decent but you might need a soundbar for ultimate surround experience. Go get this TV while on sale!!

There’s something most people don’t talk about with this TV and that’s near-black chrominance overshoot (see pictures). It’s an inherent flaw of WOLED panels due to using a white subpixel and LG seems to be doing the least to mitigate it, save for their G series which uses a dithering algorithm that you may find looks even worse. As for the B5, my panel certainly suffers from overshoot; yours may be less severe due to panel variance but I pretty much guarantee it’ll still happen in certain scenes. Some people don’t notice this problem at all and many aren’t bothered by it, but if you would be I strongly suggest saving up for a QD-OLED panel where this doesn’t occur whatsoever. Apart from that, the TV looks great and the built-in speakers are very capable. Brightness does leave something to be desired and the ABL (auto brightness limiter) is quite aggressive in HDR, but for $600 I think it performs well enough. Personally I’ve gotten used to it.
