I have been using this as a gaming monitor for my gaming PC and PS5. Also for streaming. I was a bit hesitant about splurging on this TV/monitor because of the burn-in risk associated with this screen. But after researching for quite a bit and considering the image quality and all the PC and Console monitor features and support (VRR support, Gsync compatible, AMD Freesync Premium, 120HZ/120FPS, 4K resolution, Oled perfect blacks and infinite contrast ratio—not to mention all the other TV features) I decided the risk was worth it rather than wait for months for just an adequate LED/LCD that won’t have as good quality control and support and, even worse, will cost the same or more! Most likely later on I will purchase a second smaller LG monitor just for web browsing and desktop work and anything that requires me to display static images for long periods of time. So far I have not been disappointed but astonished the at picture quality and gaming performance. In less than one week I have received two firmware updates and can clearly see LG’s commitment to support more features, useful ones too for gaming. If you are a PC gamer you are probably used to fine tuning settings for best results. This TV/monitor is no exception but the settings are intuitive and WebOS and the remote controller included make this a snap. If you are planning to use this just for streaming and console gaming and aren’t used to tinkering with settings a lot, it’s not a hard task. You will actually want to change settings depending on your usage to get best results and I would recommend watching HDTVTest YouTube channel where a very knowledgeable and humorous Vincent easily guides you to get the most out of your LG C1 or LG CX. So far I have been playing Destiny 2 on my gaming PC and I can hit a buttery, smooth 120fps at 4K with gorgeous HDR. Oh yeah! Can’t wait to try out other games! I have been also streaming Patasyte on Netflix and the anime horror is crispy! Well, you have read enough—time to get yours!

I have been wanting an LG OLED since they released and this was my first purchase. 1 replacement and 2 repairs later this is what LG has left me with and states that this falls within specification. Dark vertical banding negates all of the benefits of OLED and I actually prefer the picture quality of my Sony x900h. LG should be ashamed if they find this acceptable. Do not expect LG to provide any level of customer service or honor their warranty.

Best OLED for the money right here! This TV is simply great for both media and gaming. The 120 hz refresh rate, G-sync support, and HDMI 2.1 compatibility make this just the best TV to game on. Currently I have this paired with a powerful 30 series Nvidia GPU, and it is just stunning. The absolute blacks and crisp colors makes videogames just pop! Nothing quite like DOOM Eternal on an OLED. The build quality is superb. The whole frame is metal and the stand is also metal with some plastic, but overall it's very sturdy and weighty. If really makes you feel like it is high quality and worth the money. Sound is great. Music quality is about as good as you'll get through TV speakers. Movies with heavy bass like DUNE sound emersive and vibrant. The only downside is that the onboard processor is sort of slow, and apps take a second or two to load. But it has no issues running any streaming app. YouTube @4K 60 fps HDR is fine. The remote control is plain cool. The magic wand effect is really neat, though it can get thrown off if you point it away from the screen. Burn in is not an issue in my experience. I've been using it as a computer monitor for 6 months now and it has no traces of burn in. This is nothing like old Plasma or CRT TVs that would get burn in after a few hours of a static image. In my opinion the burn in is over hyped and is mostly prevented by the TV itself.

Bought this TV to use as a monitor replacement… and it didn’t work out as expected: to be honest unless you can drive a 4K 48” display to 120hz, it doesn’t work as a monitor; what’s more even when you do have the hardware to drive it, movies and even games at 60hz and below are hard to view that close at such a low pixel density(same pixel density of a 24” 1080p screen). I changed my entire setup to work with it, put it slightly raised about 5 feet away, and increased the scaling a bit on my computer still at 120hz; Best Decision I’ve ever made. Gaming is pretty good on this thing: I’m not new to hyper frame rate gaming, and if you haven’t experienced anything over 60hz, this thing will seem pretty incredible. Even the PS5 running spiderman with 120hz auto enabled(strikes and responses are noticably faster, even if the system can’t fully take advantage of creating a full 120fps). Movies and Sports motion are good: personally, I prefer my Sony in my living room for better color and below 60hz motion response, but this thing is no slouch… Sound: usually I’m the first to complain about sound, but the AI actually does a great job at compensating for the close distance. I’m amazed at times by what it can do, and this is coming from a planar loving audiophile. I’m not sure how it would do in a large room, and it’s possible the base helps deliver bass with the downfiring speakers; which means they might not sound quite as full wall mounted. :::Extra comment::: I’d mention the g-sync issues, but these are well known with most n-vidia devices, when bouncing between different inputs the devices can incorrectly sync themselves for audio, which causes a weird clipping sound, restarting the connected device re-syncs the devices and fixes the issue, not a big deal… but it does suck when you want to do something, the audio keeps clipping, and it takes 30 secs for the device to restart. WebOS is junk, somehow programmers have worked to keep modern apps on the platform, but that’s about it. Remote is amazing, but because of TV’s slow or at times just bad at CEC connectivity; it won’t be good for much beyond WebOS. In other words, get a streaming box if you can, don’t punish yourself, unless you plan on using just basic app the entire TV’s lifespan(Netflix, Amazon, etc.). Overall… its a good TV, it does have a tiny fan that kicks on from time to time; I’ve debated taking the back off and finding another method of cooling; but obviously this isn’t recommended for anyone to attempt. Future Proofed… This thing has a lot going for it: WOLED has shown to have better overall blacks then QOLED (quatumly adjusting blue light to other spectrums causes light bleed from the background glow below the filter level of the sub-pixels), So from a purist point of view, WOLED might still be a better tech, even though QOLED produces insane colors and strangely clean brightness levels; due to the light still having blue spectrum speed, with the other color’s actual color. FreeSync and all the HDMI 2.1 controller additions will keep this a major player for atleast the next half decade… It is hard to say what will come next… if they can fix the bleeding issues, QOLED might still be the future, laser projection is growing in popularity day-by-day(some expect cheap high performing 4K laser projectors to be the next big thing in 5-6 years; large inflexible screens are hard to manufacture, ship, inventory, sell, and move; reduce cost enough and a small box that is easy to buy on whim, becomes attractive to consumers).

Greetings, I have been slow to change with the times. Bought my 1st HD tv ( well sorta = 1080i ) in 2006, it was the Sony 34XBR trinitron and the picture was beautiful. In 2016 I upgraded to a 1080p LED tv by LG and the picture was beautiful. FF to today, or rather June 19th, 2021. I took the plunge after reading up on the newest tech, watchin all the video reviews and drinking a giant glass of Kool-Aid. To start, I'm a gamer and a HT knut. So ya this tv rocks with both, 4K @ 120fps gaming with virtually no lag and Dolby Vision in Film Maker mode. The difference between this Oled and my LED for me was, like when I put on my 1st pair of prescription eye glasses. I can see the hairs on a elephant trunk, how the water soaked the fur on the mommy and baby gorillas as they walked through the water❕ Gaming with HDR is insane, I've been playing the most heart pounding, realistic 1st person shooter game ever, lol I mean, PUBG. Before I found the color palette drab and difficult to spot enemies near and far. Neither of these are an issue with this tv, colors , Pubg looks entirely different, it's incredible and I can now spot enemies with ease. So, if you are gamer and HT movie person like myself I recommend serious consideration of this awesome tv. If your only into gaming, maybe consider a monitor. If your not a gamer and only into movies, maybe consider one of S,,y's flagship tv's because all they care about is PQ, lol Sincerely, Hyghwayman

o, gamers! Get ready to have your minds blown! I just got the LG C1 48in OLED 4K TV, and it’s LIT. I mean, this thing is like having a movie theater and an ultimate gaming station right in my bedroom. The 4K resolution is insane! It's so clear, I could see the individual strands of hair on my character's head. Every color pops out like crazy, and the black levels are, like, perfect. You've not seen anything until you've played your favorite games on this baby. And it's not just about the picture quality. This thing has got a 120Hz refresh rate, which means my games are super smooth. No more annoying stuttering or screen tearing, even in the most intense Fortnite battles. It's like butter, guys! Plus, the size - 48 inches. That's massive! It feels like I'm IN the game. My buddies come over just to play on it, it's that cool. And even when we're not gaming, watching Netflix or YouTube videos on this thing is mind-blowing. I've got no complaints about this TV. I mean, it's pricey, but for this level of coolness? Totally worth it. I saved up for months, and I don't regret it one bit. In a nutshell, the LG C1 48in OLED 4K TV is the ultimate gaming dream. If you're a serious gamer like me and you can save up, it's a must-have. Trust me, your games will never be the same again. This thing is a solid 5 stars, no doubt!

By far the best TV I ever purchased. Had it for a month now and the picture quality is great. Black shading is perfect. Sound is great without outside speakers. The magic remote is great with the pointer which the cat loves. Can’t speak for the reliability because of the short time I’ve owned it. No problem with any burn in. There is a feature that cleans the pixels but haven’t had to use it. There was a sale or I wouldn’t have purchased it. Only complaint was the price. But if it lasts it was well worth it.

Really nothing quite like an oled display. You like eye candy this one is it. The oled picture is truly astonishing. The picture supports 4k 120 hz for gaming which is amazing on next gen consoles and pc, I have both. Watching movies, shows and youtube doesnt matter all great. Video games run amazing on it, truly is optimized for gaming. A perfect display for your entertainment pleasure.

**You will need an HDMI 2.1 device and rated cable to experience 4K 120 Hz 10-bit HDR.** This TV has ruined all other displays for me. Each individual pixel can turn off, leading to a practically infinite contrast ratio. Highlights and subtitles have no distracting blooming. Colors are vibrant. OLED displays have the fastest pixel response time at the moment, which virtually eliminates ghosting/trailing. This can make 24 FPS movie content to feel more juddery, which can be mitigated with motion interpolation, but can lead to the soap opera effect. It's a great TV to use as a PC monitor, provided you have the desk and room for it. I sit at least 36 inches away, and probably would've gotten the 42" if it existed at the time. This TV won't get as bright as some LED backlit TVs, but it doesn't need to in the right setting. The screen is glossy/black mirror-like. I have 1500+ hours of usage, mostly games. No "burn-in", thankfully. I try to keep my content varied, turn off HUD elements, etc. The speakers turned out to be better than I expected, having decent bass. Knowing the quirks of different display types lead me down the path of OLED enlightenment. I'm excited for display technology when this one eventually kicks the bucket!

I had been wanting to purchase an OLED TV for some time, and found the perfect opportunity during a sale at best buy. I have owned an LG TV before and use an LG monitor for gaming on my PC. LG products have always been fantastic to me, especially for the money, and I looked to getting one when I learned that they were one of the frontrunners in the OLED market. For a while, I had some concerns about the notorious burn-in effect that OLED TVs experience and almost went with a QLED option over this OLED. I have to say that I am very glad I ended up deciding to buy this LG OLED after all. The colors are the best I have seen on any home display hands down. It can also double as a gaming monitor with the right HDMI connections as this TV has the ability to produce a 120hz refresh rate. Many people will say that you have to be careful with your usage due to burn-in risk, but I have not changed my viewing habits at all from the last TV I owned and have not experienced any problems. Price for quality, this is one of the best options you have if you are considering purchasing an OLED TV, and I will continue to support LG because of their production of such high-quality products.

I’ve never owned a large OLED panel before, but after using this display, I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back to other panels. The blacks and low light detail are incredible. There are details in darker movies that I never knew that existed. If you’re a fan of Bladerunner 2049, the K vs. Deckard scene is a great example. The colors and brightness are also very detailed, and even though this panel maxes out at 750-800 nits, it’s still plenty bright, blinding at points with HDR. There’s also 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, you’d be lucky to get one of those ports on another display! The 120hz refresh rate, VRR supporting freesync and G-sync, and true 1ms response time means that this is one of the most versatile & responsive displays for gaming. There are only a few minor issues I have noticed, like the very reflective coating on the screen. It helps colors and detail pop, but also reflects a lot of the room if it’s bright. Also, while I like LG’s software a little better than Samsung’s, it’s still clunky and there are many useful features in the menu that are buried. Those are my only issues with it though, and honestly I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This is one of those rare displays that checks nearly every single box and makes no sacrifices to get there. This is the best displays I’ve owned by a long shot.

I bought this tv as a monitor for school work and gaming and I was dazzled by the brilliance of the colors when I first turned it on—wow! This is my first oled tv so I have limited perspective but coming from lcd and led tv’s, you really can see the difference! The colors pop more and the contrast is just leagues above. It was like going from a box style “television set” to a full hd flat tv with hdr. Or going from a typical theater to an IMAX. I’ve also never had tv that has so many features! It checks all the boxes on my Xbox series x tv test ( or whatever the settings menu calls it) and I can my Bluetooth headphones to it so my girlfriend can watch her tv in peace. It was also cool to learn that I could download the Apple Music app to it and listen to my playlists right on it because it’s speakers are pretty awesome—they’re actually louder than my girlfriends 70 inch tv. My only complaint so far is that I don’t have enough time with it honestly, it has been a joy to use, cheers!
