    Great as a Gaming Monitor

Currently using this as the monitor attached to my gaming desktop, and it looks great. It replaced two side-by-side 29" Dell monitors, making it about as wide but slightly taller. It's a little weird needing to worry about "burn in," but I installed desktop wallpaper switching software, and have it change the wallpaper about every 15 minutes (I use John's Background Switcher). I had also already been using a software product called Fences. It's primary purpose is to allow the user to group desktop icons into sets, but it also lets you auto-hide the icons after some period of time. I hadn't previously used that option, but now I have it set to auto-hide after 2 minutes. (It's easy to unhide them just by clicking on the desktop.) I remember to turn on the screensaver whenever I leave the desk—I use software called nircmd to provide an icon to do that manually—but it's also set to turn on after 15 minutes in case I forget. (I use the Windows-provided 3D Text screensaver, with the option to display time and rotation type Tumble.) Finally, I make sure to minimize open windows regularly—e.g., the browser—or open some full-screen picture over them. That all makes it sound a lot harder than it is; the only really "hard" part is the final sentence of that last paragraph, because all the others are automated. At any rate, I have not had any burn in issues, and the picture otherwise looks fantastic!

I usually don't write reviews but I thought I'd make an exception in the case of this television. Now I don't use this as a TV I use it as a monitor for my gaming pc. As for gaming with gsync, 120hz refresh rate and an OLED panel this is an absolute dream to game on. If you're on the fence about buying this television to use as a monitor don't think about it just do it! Before I made the leap I watched a few comparison videos putting this TV against a ton of other monitors including the monitor I originally had my heart set on the ASUS ROG Strix XG43UQ 43" 4K. In every test they put this TV except one it was the leader of the pack. The only test it fell behind in was the brightness category. I was a little bummed about this at first but I got over that really quick after firing this bad boy up. I have it set up about 36 inches away from my seat and the OLED brightness turned down to 50% and this is more than bright enough, I honestly wouldn't like it much brighter than it is because it still gets pretty stinking bright in my opinion. So yeah for $100 more than the ASUS ROG Strix XG43UQ 43" 4K you get a larger OLED display, you only get 120hz vs 144hz but honestly I think it's a perfect mate for my RTX 3080. I hope this may have helped any fellow gamers looking at purchasing this for a monitor. Once again just buy it! I has been worth every penny I spent on it!

Former Samsung fanboy here: I had no complaints with the LG 48" C1. I intended to use it for a PC monitor/gaming. You really need to consider what games you'll be playing and for how long if you're going to use OLED. For example Diablo 1-3 have static HUDs that don't ever move. 1-3 hours intermittently is no problem. If you're going to troll 4-8 hours with static images then there is cause for concern of burn in. If you're thinking of using one of these for day trading/charting/video editing/ games with static HUD's, I would reconsider. The TV has it's own preventive measures to combat the burn in but they are extremely annoying while gaming. This includes dimming the display and pixel refreshing. Just want to reiterate that the picture on this display is gorgeous but it's got a very limited use case.

I love LG and this tv is stunning. Using it for gaming and both next gen consoles recognized the 4k HDR 120hz tv no problem. This TV is razor thin, but alot heavier than I thought. Pro tip: install the long front base onto the back stand FIRST. You will save yourself alot of headache. Especially if trying to do it alone.

If you’re a gamer this TV is a must have. This TV really shines for 4K, 120Hz refresh and HDR. Gotta have some of the newest gadgets to push this baby. PS5, Xbox Series X, Ultra HD Blu-Ray and UHD / 4K steaming. The picture/video quality is second to none. 4 HDMI 2.1 slots just push this baby over the top. No other manufacturer comes close for the money.

Now I'll get this out of the way, I wouldn't recommend this TV to the average joe solely due to the price. It's a premium product so expect to pay a premium price. With that said, this TV is worth every penny. The picture quality on this thing is amazing. Words can't describe how much I'm enjoying this product. If I had to nit-pick, the TV doesn't get that bright so I wouldn't put it opposite of a window. Then again, it's an OLED and I usually watch in a dark-room so I don't need nor was I expecting QN90A levels of brightness. TL;DR: If you're on a budget, I would personally recommend a TCL 5-Series or Hisense U6G. They're both good TVs for the price. Otherwise if you can afford it and you want the best of the best, go for this TV. You won't regret it.

This is the best computer monitor I've ever seen. HDR is wildly awesome with my PC games. The TV itself is great too. This paired perfectly with my NVIDIA 30 series adapter and G-Sync is awesome. I'll probably never consider anything but an Oled ever again, it's so much better than all other display technologies.

Decided to upgrade from my 10 year old Samsung 40" UN40D6420 LED. This was an expensive TV in it's time. Lots of reviews say the OLED LG C1 is the best TV. I'm 70 so I grew up with a lot of TVs. Unless you know about these TV's go to the internet for help on how to do the numerous setting for best picture and tweet it. NOTE: This TV needs a GOOD quality in input signal. Use HD TV channel from your cable suppler. The picture on cable box HD TV looks soft compared to the LED. It's not crisp. Crowds in the background are less defined and fuzzy. Edges of thing seem ever so slightly fuzzy and less defined. Even close up faces seem just a little fuzzy. That's hard for me to get used to. The colors are vibrant. Motion rate is OK. Clear Motion Rate on the old LED: 480!! I have Apple TV and the films I have watched there are great. Blade Runner 2049 is breath taking. An older rom com type film looked very good. A soccer match on Peacock still did not look as crisp as the LED. The blacks are blacker sometimes to the point where you need to lighten things up to see the picture. NOTE: The daylight in my LR and the lamps in the room are not an issue. The sound is good but I run my sound through a really good DAC then to a good stereo receiver to 2 pairs of speakers. This sounds better that the home theater rig I had. I got the 48" TV. Largest I could fit in the space. If Samsung had a 48" QLED TV I would definitely have a look at it after seeing the OLED for general overall TV watching.

I love my tv. It gives a great picture. I watched Gemini Man which was recommended by the geek squad rep who did the tv setup for me and it was really good. The movie was filmed in 8k so you get the full effect of seeing it with a 4k tv. The images really popped out and the colors were great. Can't wait to see how it does with a ps5 game, when I get a ps5. I made sure that the hdmi ports were 2.1 to get the best affect from 4k viewing and all 4 hdmi ports are 2.1 fr this tv--they said that these tv are only built to last 5 years but maybe I can get a few more years out of it bfr I have to upgrade to an 8k tv eventually. I was also able to get it on sale and got $200 off on it. The total tech membershp I got came in handy for this.

Pros: - amazing picture quality, wide viewing angles - G-Sync/FreeSync - 120hz - HDR is stunning - seriously amazing picture, once you see it, you won’t want to watch movies on anything else. Cons: -OLED burnin can happen, buy the extended warranty - Personally, I’m not a fan of WebOS, I use the AppleTV, but a ChromeCast or Roku would be better than WebOS. - not great for a bright room, excels in dark theatre like settings This panel is amazing. Seriously if you’re looking for the best picture quality, period, this is it. Deep, inky blacks, no clouding, no grays that are supposed to be black, HDR is insane, Dolby Vision is also fantastic paired with AppleTV 4K. I know there’s fear of OLED burn-in, but honestly, you should buy the GeekSquad Plan or Total Tech to get the TV covered if that’s a concern of yours. BestBuy is one of the only retailers offering burnin coverage.

I did a ton of research before buying this as my previous Samsung TV declined with barely usable apps after 2 years. Slow loads, daily crashing. I needed something reliable that wouldn’t take 10 minutes to boot an app. I wanted to find a TV that not only was fast during in app usage but also had crisp picture quality in both movies and gaming. This runs 4K IMAX on Disney+ crisp and smooth, more detail than I’ve ever seen. And running the newest Halo Infinite with its gaming optimized I’ve jumped in performance in all game types hitting low KDs and headshots all day long. This checked all my boxes and has been absolutely amazing! I’m sold on LG all the way!

Hands down the best bang for your buck. The C2 and this have essentially the same panel. So I’d go for this with a 30 series gpu for best in class 4K gaming. If you want ultra wide resolutions native to the panel, you have to get a c2. Otherwise get comfortable with Nvidia control panel. I use this as a full time WFH/Gaming/Coding monitor. It’s a beast. There is a learning curve but I’d rather have this than an overpriced QD oled gaming panel. Only thing is you have to be at least 3 feet away from the panel or you will have neck pain. Eyestrain in minimal because of oled contrast and lowering the screen brightness and pixel density has not been a problem for me. I also highly recommend a desk mount or wall mount. The biggest downside to this device is the stand it comes with. The thing is massive.

Amazing TV. Great refresh rate (120hz); beautiful colors and definition; very fast response time, no lag when navigating menu and apps; voice controls are great as well! Great for gaming, movies, and Cable TV. Every time I turn it on it still amazes me! This is easily the best TV purchase I've ever made in years or maybe ever! Originally this was going to be an office TV, but I ended up putting it where my 3 yr old 4K 65" Samsung was (putting the Samsung in the office, its still a great TV) just because it is so much better! I say that comparing the TV's with the current technologies in the year that I purchased them. Obviously this is the most advanced unit yet, but its easily the best upgrade I've purchased over the years. Highly recommend. Spend the extra cash. You won't be disappointed.

This is my 2nd OLED from LG. It’s primarily being used for gaming with the PS5. I absolutely love it! It doesn’t get much better than this in terms of picture quality. The high refresh rate for gaming is something I never expected from TVs which is why I always used a monitor for gaming. Most TVs don’t get credit for their speakers but I’ve noticed with these OLED TVs, the speakers are pretty good compared to most other TVs. When I’m not gaming, it’s great for watching movies. I have my Apple TV 4K connected to it and with HDR, Dolby Vision, everything is crisp and clear. These OLEDs from LG have impressed me so much I recently purchased the 77 in CX on Black Friday. I’ll be writing a review on that once I get it delivered and setup. Without a doubt, I wouldn’t hesitate on buying this again. You’ll absolutely love it!

This TV purchase was a necessary one. Mine went out after quite a few years. So of course technology has come a long way since that one. The LG OLED was the perfect fit for the space that I have to place a TV. It is still relatively new to me and I am getting used to all of the different settings. The sound quality and picture quality are very good. The color is vibrant which was one of the reasons that I picked this TV. I have only had problem with the TV so far. I wanted to add an app and it would say no content available. This must have been a server issue or update because the next day everything was back to normal and no problems. I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for an upgrade or just purchasing a new TV for another room in the home.

What an incredible display. It's so sharp and beautiful that it works well as a computer monitor. The high level brightness, HDR, pitch-black OLED, and true 120hz refresh rate makes this screen look terrific.
