Shipping packing was deplorable. That’s why I retuned this tv

Their return window is not long enough. I purchased this TV and a month later it is $150 cheaper and they wouldn't price match. Guess I will be buying my electronics elsewhere from now on.

Excellent quality, and across-the-board high level functionality. The ordering and delivery experience were not good. Becuase BestBuy corporate seems to have outsourced its phone-in services to a centralized office, I was unable to reach someone in detail to talk with at my local store. I had wanted to explain that I was making my purchase from BestBuy (as opposed to another vendor) because I had just had hand surgery, could not lift heavy items, and sought a delivery option that would include unpacking the new TV, moving an old TV down a few flights of stairs, and taking away a different old TV. I was explicit in my needs, and paid extra for the old TV hauling, because the (very nice) person who spoke to me in Minnesota (I am in Massachuestts) assured me that the delivery people would do exactly as I said. When the delivery guys came, they refused to unbox the new TV, and were very grumpy about carrying down the old one. I understand that they may have been pressed for time, and that someone may not have communicated specifically what I thought clearly the person who took my order understood and wrote down. Still, my needing to call on extra help to complete what I thought the delivery guys would do when I couldn't lift anything mildly heavy was enough of a hardship that I would have bought the TV elsewhere had I not been assured that what I asked (and thought I paid for) was reasonable. The point of recounting all of this is to provide a concrete example that outsourcing communication from local stores to centralized facilities leads to misunderstandings, bad service, and an inability to speak to someone who can help clear up problems. So many companies do this centralization, and it creates problems for customers. I am sorry Best Buy has joined the stampede of companies decreasing drastically its local service.
