This LG tv was so easy to set up and hook up. The picture is stunning and clear. I absolutely love this tv and would recommend it. Great price too!

This is my first flat panel TV after years of resisting upgrading from my stereo surround sound tube TV (which still has a great picture and works like new after 17 years). Saw this one on Black Friday sale, had gift cards to use and knew the time was right. Looked at several others and this one had the best features for the price. Easy setup: just took it out of the box, screwed the legs on, plugged in the power cord and antenna (yes) and was ready to go. The channel search found 130 channels using my indoor antenna, plus dozens of built in LG Channel Plus internet channels (a lot of sports and cooking shows). This TV automatically upgrades hi-def broadcasts to 4K flawlessly by duplicating pixels (or something) which makes everything look better. Broadcast TV is so sharp you can get very close without seeing dots. Be aware that viewing distance is closer for 4K than for older sets for this reason, so you can really immerse yourself in the show. Picture is perfect without any adjustments, but you can make adjustments if you want. The built-in sound is excellent, but the speakers are on the back, so I figured out that I need to place the set away from the wall or the sound gets muffled. The connection outlets are on the back, which makes for a clean look but difficult to attach components once the set is in place. Has a USB port which accepts a keyboard or mouse (useful when inputting passwords for wi-fi and media subscriptions). Smart TV, so the standard video services are built in (free 30-day trials of Netflix, Hulu, Amazon included). Has a built in web browser, so you can surf on the TV (wireless keyboard and mouse combo makes this easier, but remote works too). Downside is that this set does not permit play of flash videos, meaning you can't play videos from most free websites. Be forewarned that 4K is so clear that it destroys some of the illusion of television. The first show I watched was one of my favorite police procedurals, which is gripping and engrossing on my old set. On this TV, the images are so realistic that you can really identify the camera work; the same show looks like an amateur acting class, hard to get caught up in. So it's altered my viewing habits.

I picked this tv up on sale and was happy I did. The picture is fantastic and it seems to have no problem upscaling 1080p to 4K. The colors look nice even without heavy calibration. I particularly like the LG smart tv software, its quick and easy to navigate after setting up your favorite streaming services. It works well wirelessly and always seems to be able to pull enough bandwidth for HD streaming. The sound is on par with most LED displays. It was extremely easy to set up.

This is not the highest end of TV's and the reviews from highly technical people reflect this. That being said, for the price it CANNOT be beat! Yeah you need to tweak it for the best image quality and its best in a dark room, but even with those weaknesses it has a great picture, works really easily, and has an intuitive interface. I bought one in 55 inch and the 49 inch was for a bedroom TV. I love it, my wife loves it, and it even works great for my Xbox One...

I'm truly happy with this purchase. The sound is audible & great. The picture quality is realistic & excellent & this was achieved with only minimal tweaking to the out of the box setting. I was concerned about the refresh rate picture quality for motion pictures, such as, for sports programmes. However, I'm truly satisfied. There is no blurring or lagging behind of the picture. It's sharp & true to life. I'm truly satisfied overall. Excellent tv!

Pros: Good quality entry-level 4K TV that I bought for my girlfriend's living room. I paired this with a Chromecast Ultra, and wireless keyboard + mouse. Cons: No complaints aside from; some apps on the TV (Hulu, YouTube, Amazon) don't work with a wireless keyboard for some reason. The Windows key (which opens the main menu for the TV) works, but typing isn't supported in these apps. This however isn't entirely the TV's fault, but the actual app's fault. Minor complaint, but this is niche.

The LG brand is a great product..previously we had a smaller screen LG model but wanted to upgrade to the larger screen version..after reading over 50 reviews from both actual customers and consumer reports we stayed with the LG brand and bought the 49" LG Ultra HD on black friday and it is great..beautiful picture as well as sound and so easy to set up and the unit only weighs about 27 pounds..you cannot go wrong with this unit..

Amazing picture and easy to set up. This may be obvious but I had initially hooked the cable box up the TV with coaxial cable and was extremely disappointed in the picture. I callled LG and they were great about troubleshooting with me. We eventually got to checking the HDMI connection, OH WAIT, I'm not using an HDMI. That was the problem, I switched out to the HDMI cable and it was a night and day difference.

I've wanted a tv to replace an older flat screen that was frequently green when turned on. I'm pleased with this one. It is the right size for my family room. The picture is clear and crisp and the colors are vivid. Set up was easy. I hooked everything up myself, even set the Uverse remote. Would purchase again. I really like Best Buy Deals of the Day--I've made some great purchases from it. This was one.

The picture is clear and excellent and the sound is very good for being a TV speaker. The setup takes almost no time at all because it's very easy to follow and there are so many different ways to make whichever setup method you chose work best for you.. The menu is easy to navigate. Built in Wi-F is great. Only Cons is there is no bluetooth connectivity. Overall I feel this is a great tv for less price.

By far this is the best TV I have ever owned. I use an antenna for my TV to get local stations and this LG TV has a great "Live Menu" feature that is almost like a TV guide feature for free over the air TV! I also use the Netflix app extensively and it works great! Small boarder around the TV, mounted easily to a wall mount kit, turns on and off quickly, great picture quality.

Picture quality is excellent! My only complaint with this LG TV is that the instructions are very poor in operating the remote control and utilizing the functions that the TV comes with. Be prepared to spend time figuring out the various ways to do things like deleting channels that you do not want to be viewed. When I called LG for help, they said it could NOT be done which was ridiculous.

I purchase a new LED for the game room. I went with the ultra 4K 2160p. I wanted something with a good picture looking at it Fran any angle in the room. I made the right choice. The picture looks great and the smart features make it easy to stream from my subscription sites. The sound quality is fine but I think I will upgrade to a sound bar with wireless sub.

Bought for a friends birthday present and she absolutely loves it. The picture looks great and the apps work well. Mounting it to the wall was easy. Its easy to transport, it fit in the back seat of my 2002 Honda civic. It was a last minute gift idea for me but turned out to be the best gift I could've given.

With this being my firat flat screen ever, since the big nack tvs have converted. i really Love the picture quality and the many apps it has to offer. It is still brand new to me and is a little complicated as far as the remote goes but im getting the hang of it. I like thw tv sobmuch that i bought a smaller on for my kids.

It's been a long time since I bought a new TV, so it was overwhelming figuring out what I wanted to get. The employees in the Best Buy TV department were super helpful though, and that, combined with comparing units online, led to a satisfying experience in the end. This TV was a great price for what I was looking for, and it's a really good TV as far as I can tell (not being experienced with newer TV's). The picture quality is great, the sound is great and the menus are simple enough. There's a bit of a learning curve with the latter, but we're getting the hang of it. There are a few things about the Netflix app that are annoying, but I'm not sure if that's the TV's fault (though it's definitely different than the Netflix app I have on my Roku). It was annoying that there was no analog audio output, so I had to buy an adapter to use the digital output, but once we figure that whole issue out, it works fine now. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and it's definitely a good TV.

Took my first step into the 4K television world. Love this 4K UHD Smart TV. It's the only one with Web OS. Samsung is overrated and LG honestly blows it away in the 4K market. It comes without an HDMI cable but that doesn't detract from my score. Now about the picture quality. It's amazing! It has HDR and the vivid colors and images are something other-worldly. There is NO washed out black or any dithering at all. My only complaint, and this is about my Windows 7 is that the text from programs on my main 49 inch screen are really small. I think Microsoft should consider an update so I have bigger fonts. To fix this problem I carry webpages to my second 21 inch monitor. Watching 4k TV shows and movies give a kind of private movie theater experience. If my screen was even more than an inch bigger it would be too big for my apartment. This was a wise investment. Highly recommended if you can still snag this at under $400. You also get a free month of Netflix as well. Lovin' it!

I purchased this TV after returning a Vizio that was just horrible. I’m happy I did because my LG replacement is great. It’s very user friendly and the picture quality is great. The built-in apps are easy to access. The WIFI was easy to connect. I would definitely recommend it.

Went with the LG 4K smart tv and happy with it. Have a Samsung already that is more user friendly than the LG but picture quality they are about the same and LG price was less for comparable model. Took a few hours to figure out the setup but hdmi hookup working and no problems. I can recommend this!
