Picked this TV up today(07/28/2017), and so far so good! I've been searching around all over the place as far as TVs go and finding one that was the best for me. I was going back and fourth only between three brands. Sony, LG, and Samsung and didn't want to buy any other brand but one of those three. I was stuck between this model for either a 43inch or a 49inch and felt like the 49inch tv was going to be too big for my room. I have a medium size room and thought the tv was going to be over whelming in which case it was not! Just need some adjusting too especially coming from a 6-7 year old Sony that was a 32inch. WOW! What a difference. I was looking for two main features in a TV. It needed to be bigger than the TV I upgraded from, and lastly it needed to be 4K. I set this TV up all by myself and it was successful. Only complaints I have is that the remote for the TV was a little confusing and hard to find the buttons especially when your not looking directly at it, and secondly I was having trouble getting the perfect picture up. This doesn't really count because I am not tech savvy with this stuff but other than that, this is a phenomenal TV FOR THE PRICE!!! I tried the normal television for my cable and it was clear BUT nothing compares to the quality of the screen when your playing video games!!!!! The main reason I got this TV was for the Xbox One x when it comes out!!! GOOD JOB LG!!!! So far very impressed with this outcome!!

got a defective tv.no physical damage. Switched on the tv for first time and the display is all broken from the inside. waiting for replacement but this is just taking a lot of time and they do not provide a timing to pick it up from the house so you have to leave your job and keep waiting for them. very inconvenient! . Hoping bestbuy keeps their word with the new one .

I checked numerous reviews, including Consumer Reports, of several major brands of 4K Smart TV's over several days. There were pro and con to many sets and I was actually planning to buy a Samsung, however this set had good reviews and Best Buy had it on sale for a very good price within my budget, so I ended up purchasing the LG. At first I wasn't sure about it, but after having it for a couple of days and making a couple of adjustments I am very happy with it. It turns out to be the correct size for the room I have it in and the picture is excellent! It works well in a bright room if needed, has numerous great extra features and the picture is even good from the side of the set. I also purchased a LG soundbar w/subwoofer to go with it that enhances the sound. Since I haven't wall mounted the set the only con I have about it is the legs on each end instead of a pedestal in the middle which makes it more difficult to place, you need a fairly large piece of furniture to set it on. I still recommend this set if your on a budget.

It is definitely an excellent television for the price. At 49 Inches it is a decent sized individual and definitely light enough to carry or mount. The sound quality and the picture is up to par with higher priced competition. If you're looking for a television that is decently priced with great picture quality for both gaming or watching Netflix on a 4K Television, without breaking the Bank this is definitely the way to go. If you really want to see a major difference in picture quality go with the OLED which are much higher priced. If not, definitely go with this LG Product, lightweight, affordable, and great picture quality for all your smart TV needs. Please be advised it is really easy to assemble as well, and includes a smart remote.

Easy to setup and light, so I did it buy myself. The colors are beautiful and the easy menu is fabulous. We have a 55" Sony in our living room and the is a way better TV. Wish I could replave my Sony with a 55" lg. You can connect tablets and phones super easy. I don't use Wi-Fi but I connect to hulu, Netflix and YouTube with ease! Unless my cable company is being difficult.

Bought this TV during the Black Friday. This will be our first 4K Tv. I initially wanted to install it in the office but the living room seemed to be a better fit for it. The picture quality so far is nice. We have yet to play some 4k content (we need to find some first) but at 1080p, it does not disappoint. The TV comes with WebOS, which has many features and applications. If you can't find one, it'll probably be in the app store (like Hulu). You can pair your phone to the TV once it is connected to the Wifi or Ethernet, depending on your choice. The phone app functions like the remote. I'll even say, it works even better than the remote. You can send pictures and videos to the TV to be viewed, regardless of the phone model you use. I wish it had Chromecast abilities but it does not and it is missing the crunchyroll app. The remote app on the phone will sometimes not find the TV and it doesn't seem to let me turn it on from an off state, even after turning on that setting on the TV. Those are really my only issues. Overall, the TV is a great replacement for the living room at a great price and good size.

It is a lower end UHD HDR smart TV. Sure, contrast and brightness could be more, but I didn't pay top dollar for this. The smart functions are great. Picture is great (for the $). Works well with the Xbox One S (detail in Horizon 3 is awesome), and used it to watch a 4K HDR movie as well. Also used as a monitor for a gaming PC, and it did well for that as well. My complaints would be with the contrast/brightness range, but I'm also not willing to pay a grand for that even better capability. I'm sold on it, and then also bought the 43" (or whatever the smaller size is).

The 4K picture is phenomenal, and I enjoy the HDR feature especially while gaming. This tv has a nice sound system in it with a subwoofer built in. Still not the sound you would get with a sound bar but not bad for the stock tv system. The controls are easy to use and the tv is very fast when switching between inputs. The only thing I don’t like is that the lg App Store doesn’t have pandora or Spotify so I can’t have those apps play music like my other vizio does. If it had music apps I’d give it 5 stars.

This is by no means the best 4k experience you'll get, since there is 4k OLED, and now QLED. But this TV is not weak, at all. The picture looks very crisp and of course in 4k. The video looks a lot smoother, even in regular TV. Everything looks overall better, it's also a smart tv and we got it for $329 which is a steal for a 50" smart 4k tv. Strongly recommend it.

I have always loved LG’s picture quality and the fact that this is a LED, Smart TV with HDR was just an added bonus. I have just purchased another LG (65” OLED Smart TV) to replace this one in the family room and put this 49” in my bedroom. LG never lets me down when it comes to quality and is always at a reasonable price.

The tv offers a great picture- for the price, I don't think you can beat it. Like others have noted, I had to adjust the picture settings- turn off power saving mode. I have found that the picture often seems to have a blue hue- not quite sure yet how to remove this, turning off eye comfort mode seems to have helped a little, but I plan to further adjust and play with settings to hopefully be done with the blueish tint. I am also waiting on Comcast (ughh) to deliver a 4K compatible box, so at present, I can't really say that it is or isnt the tv, but more likely the service provider and box incompatibility. In any case, it's still a Great picture. For Black Friday sale price 329, it's a great deal! I don't understand the complaints about the remote? It's perfectly functional without too many options and distractors. Who wants a remote that is so busy you can't even work it? Everything is really simple- setup was a breeze. Even I, a single middle aged woman, walked straight through it. Had no idea LG offered such quality, Id recommend anyone except the most discerning tech snobs to give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.
