Awesome nano teck
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is just amazing it says it's a 120 Hz it will definitely game at 120 hertz it just does everything it should nano technology is really good for gaming and I'm sure when I watch movies and other things. HDR it's good at that too. There are more settings than what I can really use or understand. It works on normal settings just fine. It has Dolby for sound. AI for LG sound. HDR for video. Many options internet channels, LG Channels. All the download apps you could want. I could go on. But I cease. Trey

Excellent picture and options
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor as a replacement for my many years old sony 40 inch TV. At first I considered a Samsung but the black levels in this TV made my decision. It's not an andriod based TV (I like android devices) but it has reasonable apps and smart capabilities. The remote shape is a little bit weird but fully functional and can be controlled by motion (a big plus) Picture quality is very good with many options to tweak. I know it is not an OLED pannel but close to it and it meets my needs. Good connectivity options wired/wireless LAN, HDMI and a composite input for old computers or consoles (a big plus for me) So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Perfect TV size and apps!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture, sound is actually ok without a sound bar. Easy to use, and maneuver the remote. I do use Bluetooth head phones sometimes, again easy to activate and use.

Great tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All in all it’s a great tv!! Great quality picture with all the smart tv features. I can reach all my streaming apps with a click of a button. The sound of tv is great all well, paired with a sound bar equals great sourround sound. The only think that sticks out with the tv is the backlight. When it’s bright it is bright but when it is dark it is very dark. There is no in between. I catch myself sometimes having to switch settings back and fourth. But I do not have buyers remorse. It is a great tv and I am super satisfied with my purchase. Good job LG

Good for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well yet another TV review...but whose opinion does one really listen to when you are buying a TV. I thought long and hard and did my research prior to buying this TV. Bottom line there are so many TVs in this price range that it could get overwhelming to say the least. So, I needed a TV that would fit my current TV stand and my choices dwindled. I ended up with two choices Samsung and LG. I chose the LG because it has a center stand it worked for my needs. Both TVs are basically equal but the center stand won. The TV was easy to setup and was up and running in no time. The remote control is really cool and it gives access to all menu settings. The TV has decent speakers and they sound good considering they are small and you have a choice of different sound modes. The picture quality is good specially in vivid mode at least for me. Honestly if you are looking for a good somewhere in the middle TV this one should be a good fit for your home. I have two other LG TVs and they are still going strong. One is 10 years and the other is 6 years old. I hope this one lasts for long time. I bought this one on sale for 499.99...so again for the price the quality is good. Now if you want top of the line TVs then of course you will pay the premium but for my needs this is a good looking well functioning TV. So far happy with my purchase. Happy hunting and good luck...hope this helped.

Almost Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have stated that its a great TV if it had the picture quality the 9 series had. Good picture quality, System UI is excellent, and it has some features that surprised me. one of the features is that It can take over your cable box and run the channel guide through the TV itself to let you use the wand remote to change the channel, and run other features your cable box has.. That is a big deal because you don't need two remotes. If not for OLED TVs, I would replace my Livingroom TV with a Nano 9 series.

Finally a good picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took approximately 6 days to get the picture adjusted and to make it work through my dvd player. Poor instructions in the owners manual. The on-screen instructions were not going to work for me as there are somethings I don't want turned on and without a decent manual I had no idea where those instructions were leading me. Once I got it like I wanted it the picture is outstanding. One question: is the top of the screen supposed to lean forward? It causes a bit of a perspective problem in the upper corners of the set. It does, however, help to cut down on glare from lamps or sunlight. We were not able to get it up and running as soon as I received the tv because of scheduled trips plus we had to find someone to take our 36" tube tv off our hands first.

Decent TV at an Average price point
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a lot to like about this tv at this price point. It has a full 4k signal with HDR capabilities, multiple HDMI ports instead of just a few, HDMI ARC features, smart capabilities and apps, lightweight, thin bezels, and is fairly energy efficient due to the LED tech implemented here. Definitely keeps me a fan of LG products and especially the TVs in this Nano series lineup. One major flaw and annoyance: The edge (instead of full panel) lighting is so incredibly annoying and low-quality that it ruins many tv/movie/game content on display. There were several reviews that stated this model having this as a drawback and the models above having the back panel fully lit, avoiding this issue, and that it only turned out to be an issue when viewing content that is really dark and has little light coming in and out of the scene (like viewing Star Wars movies or something like that). Well officially, this thing has problems with all content that is contrasting which is almost every single video game, and at least 60% of what I've streamed from various services in movies or television. It just ends up being distracting when you are watching a darker or mid-tone scene and the sides of the tv are flashing off and on repeatedly even though not much is happening on the screen in the scene. I tried to return it and missed the date by a couple of days, unfortunately, I was trying to swap out for the model above it that has this design issue fixed. I have to keep the TV for now but would state that otherwise this is a quality set for the price and I still appreciate what the LG brand has on offer overall.

First LG TV
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Samsung "Smart" TV finally bit the dust and I started researching for a replacement. Found this one and I have to say that it has exceeded my expectations. Great picture, apps and connections. It's not too big for a smaller room and looks great on it's stand or mounted on the wall. I had it on the stand until I was sure it was the replacement that fit out needs. Easy to connect to an outdoor antenna, soundbar, security system and my desktop computer.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find myself watching this tv in amazement. Still can’t get over the picture quality, quite a jump from my 12 y/o plasma. We were limited to the size that would fit in the shelf above the fireplace and the best choice for us was the LG. I researched several different makers and technologies, wanted OLED but wouldn’t fit. Then looked at Samsung QLED, but the only offering that would fit has a native refresh rate of 60hz. I read several sites that said not to get hung up on refresh rate, but they all qualified that statement with “you won’t really notice the blur”. Not wanting to gamble on a TV that may or may not exhibit motion blur on live sports programming, I searched for the highest res TV that had a 120hz native rate that would fit in the shelf. That led me to Best Buy to look at the actual picture on this TV. Checked out viewing angles and picture clarity/brightness compared to the other technologies. This model blew me away, ended up going to another store that had it in stock and haven’t looked back. Keep in mind when in the store you are looking at video content that is customized to blow you away. The only nit is playing video content from my iPad was sketchy, I could get mirroring set up, but it would always hang and drop. I ended up hooking up my Apple TV so I could play iDevice content. I didn’t deduct any stars for this because this is really a non-issue for me.

nice bright picture, very poor blacks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pop in an animated movie or watch some sports, you'll be thrilled! Put on a movie with darkly lit scenes and you'll be considering returning this TV. Local dimming is not good which leads to way too much blooming (like ¼ screen worth of blooming at times on an all-black screen with white text for example). I'm still experimenting with adjustments but so far it's not looking like there's a fix for this problem. Ultimately I decided to keep it as it's a bedroom TV that I don't use much but I'd bet there are better TV's at this price point. Also, I knew that if I did return it, I'd probably be upgrading to the Sony 950G or H, whatever it is, which costs even more $$) Anyway, the detail, colors and brightness are pretty amazing (although HDR seems oddly useless). 4K upscaling is impressive with BluRays & 1080p sources (difficult to distinguish between these and a 4K Ultra source tbh), but don't expect miracles if you're planning to connect a 480p source such as a DVD player or legacy game console. Smart apps seem to work pretty well, no problems noted. The remote can be tricky at first but once you are used to it (or any newer LG remote), it's actually pretty cool. Fine for a "behind the bar" monitor, bedroom TV, game room maybe, etc, but I wouldn't recommend this set for a main or living room TV as I think it has some major shortcoming with dark scenes and blacks.

Gamers u want this Tv!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Tv For Gamers I own a ps5 and series x this tv runs 4K at 120hz it’s super smooth picture is very sharp it also has hdr10 and Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Dolby gaming only negative thing I can say is well i wish it had deeper blacks and really wish Xbox would fix there’s software because 1440p at 120hz is sad when ps5 runs at 4K 120hz something with Xbox and dolby vision but I digress. Overall it great buy for the price and I only paid $400 for my 50 inch lol amazing!!

LG's spectacular TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is absolutely beautiful. The colors are so vivid, bright and accurate too and Dolby vision makes it even better. The speakers are just awesome thanks to those amazing Dolby Atmos audio it has. On top of that it offers fast 120hz which is great for the Xbox series S/X consoles. It's by far the best tv I've ever had.

Great TV from LG
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 49" Nano 8 series is awesome. I really like the picture quality and how there is no change while viewing from an angle. The sound is fairly good while watching tv shows from cable. While watching movies on Netflix or Amazon, I do not care for the tv speakers sound. I am going to get a sound bar for that purpose when I decide on the one I want. Overall, I highly recommend this tv!

The perfect TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has gone beyond my expectations. Decided to cut the cable cord and stream only. With the 120 reload, buffering just doesn’t exist. Picture is clear and bright - so easy to use and find lots of free streaming networks with LG ‘s hub channels. So glad I chose this one after much research. Best purchase !!!

Excellent quality all round!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LGSM8600 has everything you need for a home television. 8 series 4K technology provides better picture quality in comparison to its competing 2019 models such as Samsung RU8000 and Sony X800G. The LG is great for wide angle viewing and it’s dimmable technology allows for ‘easy on the eye’ viewing in a dark room. The web os is very responsive and easy to use. Great buy and highly recommend.

I love this TV!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crisp picture. Easy set up process. Menus are fairly intuitive. Love the 49” inch size, think it’s the sweet spot for most living rooms. I researched for a while before purchasing and between the Good (Vizio), Better (LG) and Best (Sony), this LG made the most sense without breaking the bank. Also purchased because of the four (4) HDMI ports. Don’t regret that for an instant.

Excellent TV!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the TV so far (had for about a month). The remote is easy to use, and it's easy to access the apps like Youtube or Netflix. The only issue I had was that the picture had this soap opera effect. After doing some research on the net, I discovered you have to turn off Trumotion to get a film-like experience. Just remember to do that. Trumotion is on by default.
