Background: My old 49-inch TV died and I needed a similarly-sized replacement to get through the upcoming shelter-in-place rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm generally not a fan of smart TVs due to the privacy issues involved with their data collection. That said, it's dang near impossible to find a good 49-inch 4k non-smart TV. I had to settle for getting a smart TV and not hooking it to the network. ============= This TV was highly recommended to me by my brother, who is pretty knowledgable about TVs. Setup was mostly pretty easy, though the screws that attach the stand to the base were a bit stubborn, screwing the stand to the TV was easy enough. Overall, the TV has a small amount of wobble, but that's to be expected with such a large display with one point of contact, connected low relative to the center of mass. It's more stable than I would expect, so that's a bonus. I'm very much a fan of the cable-routing through the back of the stand, as it allows me to keep the rear of the TV tidy once everything is connected. I wish the top opening was a bit wider to allow for easier closure with 6 cables running through it (4x HDMI, power, TOSLINK), but that's a minor issue. Once I turned on the TV, I noticed that there were 2 backlighting zones, one on the left, one on the right. While I'd like to see more zones, I only paid $599 for it so I can deal. Once I got my sources connected and recognized, it was super easy to get them named and set icons for the various inputs. The pointer is a bit finicky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's almost like a Wiimote. Going through the menus, I saw an option to enable HDMI-CEC. Upon doing so, it recognized that my Apple TV supports CEC bidirectionally. That enabled me to match power state and control the TV volume via my Apple TV remote and control the Apple TV via the LG Magic Remote (arrows, select, back, play/pause. Other functions not supported).

The picture is excellent, it is very life like. Set up was a breeze and navigation with remote is easy. Service at the store was excellent, associate was very knowledgeable.

I bought this as a replacement for a different brand that went bad twice. Thi is a perfect fit for my cabinet. It has a very sharp picture with unbelievable color!

Bought this TV for our bedroom. The picture is awesome and the pedestal stand is a plus because it fits our TV stand better than those weak little legs other TVs offer.

I was replacing another LG tv that couldn't seem to keep a wireless connection to the internet. I was planning on avoiding purchasing another LG. I spoke with the salesman at Best Buy and he was very informative about the quality of televisions and where that threshold lies. Apparently those lower quality televisions have some less than optimal processors. I could tell instantly when I took this television out of the box the superiority of the quality to my previous 6 series LG. I have been very happy with the responsiveness, picture quality, remote quality, and functionality of this television.

This TV has a great picture and the colors are amazing! I also really enjoy the ability to speak into the remote when looking up movies on a weekend movie night!!

This is a great television. This works well with Bluetooth hand the picture is crisp, clear, and the colors are bright. Easy setup. Highly recommended.

I got this 2 weeks ago and am extremely happy with this purchase. The picture is crisp and clean, it sounds great and set up is easy. My pictures look great on this Unit!

Just bought this TV to replace my 1080p TV, the picture detail is almost dramatic, details are sharp and almost looks like 3D at times. The seamless transition from live tv to apps by a button or speaking to the remote is my favorite.

We enjoy LG Tv’s and have their top of the line TV. This model performs well and is a great tv option for the bedroom. Great smart TV programming and nice picture.

Recently moved and my older TV was too small for my space. I was concerned that this TV would be too big,but it is perfect. It is easy to set up and fun to watch.

The LG tv was easy to mount and it was easy to work with. The magic remote is a great touch and the picture quality is great as usual with LG's

It has a great picture. I haven't used the navigation (to get to Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc and then back to TV mode) much yet but so far it seems easy to use.

Supper thin with colors so bright it seems as if you were looking through window. Bluetooth remote is great with Apple TV and DirecTv only need one remote.

Bought this to game with on my Xbox series x at 120hz. It will only do 60hz at 4K, but will do 120hz at 1440. Beautiful tv!

Great picture, easy to fine tune. Magic remote can replace your other remotes, with the exception of the sound bar remote. Good value for the money.

great tv, awesome picture color comes in clear! The remote is easy to use. Has all the apps like Disney plus already installed on it!
